GOOD: location, size of the room, change of towels on daily basis BAD: super noisy, there is no noise cancelation and walls are thin. It means you hear everything from your neighbors. Cleaning lady wakes you up each morning ariund 9-10

Good hotel with high technology items in the room such as automatic toilet flushing and a motion sensor hair dryer. The room was clean but the walls had some stains, room had a few flies, and the washroom smelled a bit weird. Location was very central and close to the subway and Yuyuan garden.

Overall, it is a nice and comfortable hotel to stay. Except that the environment & facilites near the hotel is not so well kept and clean. I noticed there is a small red spot stained on e bathroom floor (not sure what is that, it looked likes blood stain to me). However, on e last night, it was quite warm, I think there is no access of airconditioners during winter season. Other than that, room is really huge and with impressive Oriental Pearl Tower Views! The location is perfect with Yuyuan garden & Cheng Huan Temple located behind, food amenities and shopping street. Sightseeing bus also nearby the hotel to bring me around the bund & famous attraction spots. Subway also a short walking distance from the hotel. Family mart just below only! Price worthwhile overall!

The stay has been nothing short of fantastic. Just look at the million dollar view of Shanghai's night scape! The room came with a platter of complimentary tropical fruits, snacks, drinks and a bottle of wine. In addition, you can book in advance a photography session with free makeover, 4 complimentary photos and any additional ones you choose at an extra cost. The photographer is good at prompting how to pose and takes very good photos! The hotel's reception is also very friendly. I would like to commend this young male bespectacled guest service staff who went beyond his way to help me with my personal courier services issues that is unrelated to the hotel. It's little things like these that makes the stay more memorable.

I made an online reservation for the 799 yuan pre-sale voucher product I had purchased at Dolphin in advance. The Yi Shanghai King Room can be upgraded to a (Yi Shanghai) River View Room, with 1 free mini bar drink and 1 nighttime special cocktail. I communicated with Dolphin customer service and applied for a room on a higher floor as much as possible. The hotel is in a very good location, just one street away from the Bund. CI was handled by Linda at the front desk. Seeing that we were two adults and one child, she gave us two more cocktail coupons, a room on the 18th floor, and cookies similar to those of Hilton Garden Inn. Linda's service gave people a polite and warm feeling. After arriving at the room, LD felt that the river view of Yi Shanghai River View Room was a little bit lacking, so he went downstairs and communicated with Duanduan at the front desk to upgrade the 219 yuan difference to a Jing Shanghai River View King Room, free breakfast, and also applied for the group's gold card. Duanduan was very friendly. Now the legendary Huangpu River Bend and Oriental Pearl Tower are in full view! Although the hotel is a renovation of an old hotel, it is not a floor-to-ceiling glass structure. The view of the Huangpu River is actually slightly discounted, but the cost is less than 1,000 yuan. It is really worth staying in a room with a calendar and breakfast price of nearly 2,000 yuan! This room is really good! The amenities are COLLECTION LALIQUE, which tastes very good, and the shower head is also of good texture! The drinks in the mini bar are mostly canned soda water, and there are two bottles of alcoholic drinks, including a bottle of vodka. The hotel is less than 100 meters from the ferry terminal on Jinling East Road, which is very convenient for visiting the World Expo building! There are singers in the bar on the 2nd floor at night, and non-alcoholic drinks can be made! The hand cream was given when leaving the hotel, and Panpan, the guest service, mailed 4 small items of amenities, which was very happy! A few small regrets, the bathtub was not used in time, and the alcoholic drinks were contributed to Pudong Airport. The hotel does not have a parking lot. Everyone should pay attention to this. It is a flaw in the perfect jade!

As Pudong Shangri-La Hotel is quite a distance from Shanghai Disneyland, we did not expect the hotel to provide free transport to and fro Disneyland when we check-in. It was a pleasant surprise when we know they do and for 2 consecutive days. We love the location of the hotel and customer oriented services provided by the staff.

The hotel is just some minutes walk from People’ Square subway station, exit 14. The room size is enough, not big but not small and facilities are new. You can easily access to shops, restaurants, snack food. Bicycle renting is around and 1 straight ride to the Bund. Great stay!

Had a great stay here with my 79 year old dad who was visiting from the US. The check in process was easy and the staff were accommodating. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had soap, lotion, shampoo, etc, containers. There was a full soaking tub and separate shower. I was pleased with the shower mat that could be used in the shower. The material and absorbancy of the towels were great. My dad was very pleased with the comfort of the bed after such a long flight, as was I. Likewise, he was exceptionally pleased with the buffet breakfast as there were many delicious options, mostly Chinese style, but plentiful and again delicious. Though, there is a lot to see just outside the door, we didn't explore as we were only there for one night. I highly recommend staying at this Crowne Plaza location as I would stay again. Also, just a short walk to the People's Corner metro stop.

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

We had a wonderful experience with the Guisu property for an 8-day stay. For a group of 5, this was much more convenient and cost-effective than having to book separate hotel rooms. I booked this room for my family, who was visiting China for the first time. Communicating with the host was very easy, and they responded very fast to any inquiry, sending over items, such as house slippers, within minutes upon request. Our communication was all in Chinese, so it may be helpful to have someone familiar with the language. What my family liked most about Guisu was that they felt like they were immersed in the city, experiencing the real life of a Chinese neighborhood, which a hotel may not be able to provide. The property was next to an elementary school, and while we were woken up each day by the sound of the children, it was nevertheless a pleasant, authentic, experience. The amenities and facilities all worked well, and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and utensils. Even if you are not cooking yourself, it is convenient to have all of this on hand. I would certainly recommend Guisu Homestay to other friends visiting Shanghai. The location near West Nanjing Road made it easy to walk everywhere, such as to People's Square or nearby parks. It is also close enough to the metro station, for a quick ride to other popular areas or train stations.
