I had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Tommy Ma handled my check-in and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. His top-notch customer service really made me feel welcome. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again during my future visits. The entire staff provided five-star service that made my trip remarkable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for travelers looking for a fantastic place to stay.

Selected the hotel as a trip.com diamond member and was offered to be given the benefit of accessing the hotel lounge which turned out to be a disappointment as the so called happy hour had nothing much except a couple of plates of snacks and some drinks. The lounge service is pretty ordinary, staff there were kind of so bored standing round. This is a total gimmick from both the hotel and Trip.com . However, the breakfast was good with a nice range of selections and decent service. Overall, the hotel amenities are starting to look dated and tired and the pool was tiny with the surrounding facilities look also a bit shabby. The 5 star status remain to be challenged.

Could see the hotel's basically remants of some classy types in the past (the building and bathroom etc.) but not sure re value for money/friendlieness, was given a room on the first floor (cathay gardens, or the low south building) with view completely blocked by walls. Staff in reception/cafeteria all very businesslike. To be fair it might have felt a harsh contrast coz visited after disneyland. Still, would try tower or other nearby hotels if visiting shanghai next time

I booked a deluxe double room. The room I stayed in was not big. It is understandable that land is very expensive in Shanghai. The location of the hotel is very good. It is convenient to go everywhere. The lobby is not big but clean and tidy. The bathroom and bathroom in the room are okay. It is equipped with a smart toilet. The hot water has great pressure and temperature all day long. There is no peculiar smell in the bathroom, but there are some small flying insects. The air conditioning is very powerful, and the view outside the window is also good. I stayed for four nights and felt no noise. I had a good rest. The front desk staff was kind. I didn't expect that breakfast was McDonald's and there was laundry and drying services. The late check-out service was a bit reluctant, but we still delayed check-out until 2pm.

This hotel was a great find! This was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in while living in Asia. Walking distance between two subway stations and in an area with a large array of restaurants and shops, the location is great. The staff was welcoming and spoke English. Although they follow city laws and don’t put some of the amenities in rooms any more, they are available for taking in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was hair on the floor and towels, thus the reason for the low score in cleanliness. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again next time I’m in Shanghai.

Surrounding by downtown streets, with tons of shops, coffee shop, milk tea,… Very convenient. In front of the hotel have a building full of good restaurant, one of them sell fish hotpot, one of the best thing we ate at shanghai, but it is not cheap at all, it is expensive. Rooms looking all good, smell good, and spacious. However the laundry or laundry service is super expensive, (EX) about 10-15$ for a tshirt. You should wash it by yourself in the sink instead. All cleaning ladies are very nice, helping services available 24/7 pretty helpful.

I went to Shanghai on a business trip with my husband and took my kids to visit Shanghai. The Hanting Dagu store is close to the People's Square and has convenient transportation and subway. I have stayed at Youxi Movie Hotel at 242 Ju Lu Road, Shanghai, China about three and half weeks from 13th November to 5th December. I had a wonderful time there. It located at the central Shanghai and is close to many entertainment centres and tourist attractions and shopping centra. The staffs at Youxi Movie Hotel were very helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. It was very surprise to me that my room is very quiet at night and you can watch a film on the wall while you are in the bed. My room is quite big so once I had my friends came over to watch the movie and chatter. And this hotel is quite new and the my room is very clean too.

The location is very central. It’s connected to many important sites: Starbucks reserve, Shanghai natural history museum and two metro lines. It was convenient point to travel from to explore Shanghai. There are also plenty of restaurants and shop. The rooms are beautiful and clean. It had many utensils for cooking and comfort. It also had a projector to watch movies at the end if the day. The information from the management is very clear and they were available to help us with all their needs. They sent extra water, tissues and helped us book a taxi.

I like this B&B very much. The projection quality is very good, the high-definition large screen is warm and comfortable overall. There are many green plants and decorative dolls in the room. It is very convenient to walk to the Otology Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital, Huashan Hospital, and the Conservatory of Music. The staying experience is great!

The building is very special, it’s obviously got character but well the inside is very dated, some of the fixtures are not very well detailed for example the shower has some screws coming off and well it’s an old building so it’s understandable, the breakfast was good so was the coffee but half of the staff was friendly and half was a bit careless. It was a good experience.
