Hotel Emisia Sapporo

I like the hotel as it is not in the Central Area where it is crowded, so very little tourist groups. Most of the guests in the hotel are local nationals. It is located next to a mall so very convenient for everything. A ton of food within walking distance. Admittedly the hotel is a little dated but it is vey well kept. The service is top notch although they mostly don’t speak English so you’ll have to use google translate to speak to them, which I did not mind. Had a few misunderstandings during the trip which was due to miscommunication. Also please note that the hotel does not provide daily housekeeping, they would change all your towels, give you new amenties and empty all you trash as you leave it outside your room. They come into your room to refresh the room only once every 4 days. Which again I did not mind. I would rate it highly but I can’t give it a 5 having stayed in other better hotels, but this checks off a lot of boxes for me if you are on holiday and want something clean, well maintained, good service and nice.

The overall layout of the hotel is very atmospheric, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, and it is within walking distance of several small attractions in Jozankei. The food is excellent, and it is the best food quality among the hot spring hotels I have stayed in. I will recommend it to friends and I will come again.
Hotel Keihan Sapporo

Love how the hotel is located nearby to the station, making it incredibly convenient for couples traveling with heavy luggage, especially during the winter. The hotel is very new, spacious and stylish with a touch of wood vintage with a beverage vending machine on every floor. I especially loved the onsen facilities, which had a minimalist Muji-like aesthetic. The availability of laundry and dryer services was greatly appreciated, allowing me to pack lighter. The hotel even provided reminders about peak hours, so I could enjoy the facilities with fewer crowds. The staff were very friendly, and I especially want to commend the gentleman who helped me check out early on 6th January (6:00AM). He was really patient and went the extra mile for guests like me. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Sapporo.
Jozankei Manseikaku Hotel Milione

It might have not been clearly mentioned but there is no air-conditioning provided, only central heating. During my time there, weather was cold out so the room only had 3 levels, low heat, medium heat and high heat. There is no way to sleep in those conditions and it took me a while to realize because the receptionist on the help desk phone did not speak English, so I went down to the lobby past midnight to ask the only staff available. Through some help on google translate and his hand gestures, I was told that I had to leave my windows open to let cold air into the room. This was not explained at any point during the check-in so I guess that's the downside for foreigners wanting to stay here. There's also a hot spring tax you have to pay when you check out. All things considered Jozankei is not a big town so everything is accessible and the hotel is generally comfortable otherwise.

odori park
Second time staying at this hotel, and I would recommend this hotel for its proximity to Odori Park, the subway, and Tanukikoji Shopping Street. There is a 7-11 just right on the ground floor of the hotel, and in the basement of the hotel, there is a hot bath for you to enjoy after a long day of sightseeing. There are plenty of food options near the hotel. However, do take note that the luggage storage area under the bed is not meant for big luggage. My 28-inch luggage couldn't fit inside it. Nonetheless, I will recommend this hotel for budget conscious travellers. I will personally be staying in this hotel when I travel to Sapporo the next time also!

Hotel not closely but not far from Sapporo station, you can walk on the underground. There is an onsen, it’s cleanness same as our room. Staff are friendly and kindness. Breakfast is not buffet, there are 4 sets for choosing, the taste is good. All is satisfied to stay at here.
