We arrived to Santorini on the 2nd of August and Christos had arranged a taxi for us. Upon arriving at Pyrgos, a delightful village Irini was there to help with our bags and a little ( well treated ) donkey. Christos had already messaged to say he upgraded us to Kastro Mansion, the place with the best view in Pyrgos. The house was so beautiful, the beds very comfortable but the star of the holiday was the jacuzzi with the most magnificent view of the sunset. Who needs Oia when you can experience your own private version from Pyrgos? See pictures from the jacuzzi bellow. Totally worth mentioning the lovely breakfast at Penelope’s. We had a fantastic time, our 5th time in Santorini. We will be back!

I loved it! It’s in a quiet and peaceful village, but if you want to join the crowd it’s just a short trip by car to Thira. Taxi is quiet expensive, to rent a car not, but it’s difficult to find a parking place in the crowded places and I loved the wine in Santorini so I took the taxi. All drivers were also kind. The Hotel stuff is more than great! From the sales manager, over the front desk to the Pool cleaner. All of them are more than friendly, they made may stay unique.

This beautiful hotel is located a few hundred meters off the main square in Pyrgos, which is a much more tranquil and less touristy experience than most other places on the island. Our room was essentially a suite with two rooms connected through an open portal with a sofa and small kitchen in one. The bedroom was large with a comfortable bed, and the place was clean when we arrived. There was a mix-up with our room when we got there early, but this was resolved very quickly. The owners sent us a list of ideas for our stay via WhatsApp, which was very nice. There are nice outdoor areas here as well, which we didn’t use as it was either hot or we were off exploring. Parking can be tricky in town, but we often found a space in the lot next door or down a nearby street. We would definitely stay here again.

Zannos is an old hotel on the (I think)the highest part of Santorini. We loved our stay. Kristofer, the Manager was so helpful, kind and ready to be of service. Staff was also very nice, kind and ready to fullfill every wish we had mainly concerning the breakfast. There are things needed to be improved, but I’m sure they will when the real summer season kicks off. Hotel has a wonderfull view, nice outdoor pool and several jaccuzzi also. Rooms are perfectly refreshing after day walks in the streets of Caldera or Oia and we could hardly wait to come back to our rooms. Our stay was lovely, we had a wonderfull time in and outside hotel and If you are not so picky, i fully recommend this hotel. Not excpensive and very good. At least we need friendly faces, clean rooms, good breakfast, and in this hotel all these three elements are in place. A note: those who have problems walking or climbing, there is no buss or car that drives you to the hotel. But you can allways stop and rest on the caffees on the way up. Yess, there is also a small souvlaki shop near hotel so you can stop there too, eat a souvlaki, have a mythos beer, rest and continue climbing for two more minutes. In totall we would be in our hotel for 4/5 minutes. This note is only for those who have difficulties walking or climbing. Enjoy Santorini and Zannos if you chose to stay here.

We have stayed on Santorini many times but this was the first time we decided to stay in Pygros. The hotel must have one of the best views of being able to see almost the whole island. We saw the sunset from the swimming pool as breath taking as from Oia ( but without the crowds) The swimming pool is big clean with wonderful sunbed and seating around it. ( no rush for bagging a sunbed or reserving one at silly o'clock here) Our room if anything a little on the small side but a good size balcony and the room was fine. Breakfast can be taken either in the breakfast room or taken outside at the tables around the pool. There is a very good selection of continental as well as a cooked choice. Yes sometimes some of the hot food could have been a little more hot but not a major issue. The staff were outstanding, they were there to assist, were helpful but not over bearing. Of the little issues we had, the safe in out room needed to be opened, a lack of coat hangers in the wardrobe when we arrived and the broken chair on the balcony were rectified as soon as we brought the issues to the attention of the staff. they were dealt with politely and straight away they were all very professional at all times. Where the hotel is located is very good with good eating places within a short walk. It is also possible to get the local bus to Fira and from there a bus to all other areas of the island. Our experience at this hotel was great and we would enjoy a return visit Our thanks to all the staff.

Convenient location, very quiet, you can get to anywhere on the island in 15-20 minutes. The house is very clean, comfortable, has everything you need for living. The owner is a super pleasant and nice person, he told everything about the island, sights, restaurants, helped in booking a car, restaurants, sightseeing tours. I can say that everything was great!
