Hotels in Geylang, Singapore

This was a pleasant, quiet, and safe stay. **Environment:** It's about a 13-minute walk to Aljunied MRT (EW line). The hotel is located about 50 meters inside Lane 18 of Geylang Road. Geylang Road itself is very bustling with heavy traffic, but once you step into Lane 18, it becomes quite peaceful. You can't hear car noises at night. However, the hotel's soundproofing isn't great; you can clearly hear snoring from the next room and conversations in the corridor. Luckily, guests were quite considerate and didn't make much noise late at night. **Service:** I booked 3 nights through Trip.com, two nights with a king bed and one night with twin beds. There was a front desk staff member who spoke Mandarin. Upon our request, they were very helpful and arranged for us to stay in the same room for the third night as well, saving us the hassle of moving our belongings. On the second day, when we returned, we found the service manager waiting in our room. The floor was completely covered in water because a pipe in the corridor ceiling had burst. She asked if we wanted to switch to another room, and we agreed. She then kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room free of charge, which was much larger and more comfortable. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, haha! **Cleanliness:** The room was clean and tidy. The corridor had a Japanese-inspired design. **Facilities:** There's a refrigerator, which is convenient for storing your own food. Toothbrush and toothpaste are provided, though the toothpaste was hard to squeeze out. There's no comb, and you need to get razors from the front desk. There's no mineral water, but there's a water dispenser for drinking, and a kettle to boil hot water. The air conditioning was noisy. Even when turned off, it wasn't cold, making for a quieter sleep. I needed two air-con blankets. The air-con blanket wasn't covered by a sheet, so I wasn't sure whether to use the blanket or the sheet directly when sleeping. But overall, I didn't catch a cold.

The room was tiny, and the bathroom was so small I could barely turn around. It's right next to an elevated road, and even though I requested a quiet room beforehand, light sleepers would definitely struggle to get any rest. The air conditioning unit blows directly onto the head of the bed. Breakfast options were limited; I'd recommend eating at the nearby mall instead. One of the Chinese supervisors in the restaurant had a poor attitude. On the plus side, the hotel was clean and tidy.

I booked this place last minute for a quick stopover. It was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and I was surprised that even in such a small space, they managed to comfortably fit four people! My two kids found it quite amazing. Even though we only slept for a few hours, we had a very restful sleep. It's a small place, but clean and quiet!

Great choice for a convenient, no-fuss stay! I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel 81 Lucky. The location is perfect, easy to get around, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores just steps away. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick to assist with whatever we needed. Our room was clean, comfortable, and kept well-maintained throughout our stay. It offers great value for money, exactly what you need for a pleasant, hassle-free trip. Would definitely book here again!

The facilities are great, clean, and quiet. If I ever come back to Singapore, I'd definitely choose this place again. It's so much better than Ibis. Ibis was a nightmare – the soundproofing was terrible, the amenities were basic, and every room had its own electrical box that buzzed loudly whenever you used electricity. It was the same in every room I tried.

I stayed for one night, just for about 30 hours in Singapore, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was still disappointing. **Location:** It's very convenient to find food nearby. Singapore's public transport is well-developed, and the MRT is about a 10-minute walk away. **Staff:** The front desk staff were polite, helpful, and friendly. **Room:** My room was on the second floor facing the street. The windows offered absolutely no soundproofing, it was incredibly noisy, making it difficult to sleep. I had to use earplugs in the middle of the night to get some rest. I'm not sure if the bedsheets were changed; I only discovered stains on them the next morning. The bathroom drain was extremely poor; after showering, the water wouldn't drain on its own, and guests had to help it along... I initially thought it would be relatively new, as it opened in 2023.

The room is clean. The location is perfect. Close to the station (shijo, karawamachi, and Gion) you can reach them by walk around few minutes. Close to nishiki market, karawamachi, komo river, Gion, pontcsho. The front desk is friendly and has good English. Will be stay at hotel M'S Est Shijo Karasuma again when we visit Kyoto next time.

A good hotel for budget travelers (knowing that accommodation in Singapore is quite expensive). My room had a private bathroom, TV, a window with views of the street entrance, a fridge, and great quality Wi-Fi. It had everything I needed. It's about a 12-15 minute walk from the Kallang MRT station, and they provide daily coffee and a bottle of water. Plus, they clean the room every day.

We booked two rooms for four guests. While one room was acceptable and had properly functioning air conditioning, the experience with the second room was extremely disappointing. Initially, we were assigned a room where the air conditioner was leaking water directly onto the bed. The bed was positioned against the wall directly beneath the air conditioner, making the room unusable. We immediately reported the issue, and the hotel staff agreed to move us to another room. This gave us the impression that they were already aware of the problem. Before leaving the hotel, we briefly tested the replacement room, and it appeared to be functioning normally. However, when we returned at night and went to sleep, the problems became much more serious. Although the air conditioner was set to 16°C, the room remained uncomfortably warm throughout the night, with an estimated temperature of 25–26°C. It felt as though only a fan was running, making it very difficult to sleep. In addition, the air conditioner continued leaking water onto the floor, creating a safety hazard. The unit also produced a loud, continuous noise similar to a cricket chirping, which disturbed our sleep for the entire night. I recorded a video as evidence, but unfortunately Trip.com only allows photo uploads. To make matters worse, the water faucet in the bathroom also leaked during use, indicating poor maintenance of the room. Overall, this room clearly suffered from multiple maintenance issues, including: A malfunctioning and leaking air conditioner. Ineffective cooling despite being set to the lowest temperature. Excessive noise from the air-conditioning unit. A leaking bathroom faucet. This experience fell well below the standard we expected. We paid for a comfortable stay but instead experienced an uncomfortable and sleepless night due to issues that should have been identified and repaired before the room was offered to guests. Given the number and severity of the maintenance problems, we believe appropriate compensation is warranted. We also hope the hotel will address these issues promptly so that future guests do not have the same experience.

The hostel is very close to the Ayuni Metro Station. I have stayed at the hotel for four nights before and after. It is more convenient, but the bathroom shower facilities are occasionally difficult to guarantee. The boss is good, the girl lives alone, and the boss will give priority to the room with more girls, which is more convenient in hot Singapore.   In addition, the hostel is not far from the famous durian stand in Singapore, and it is convenient to eat.
