Front desk are awesome! Able to accommodate my needs during an eventful day. Thank you for assisting me with my last minute request. Appreciate the team from front desk and housekeeping. Breakfast was busy but still have enough food even close to closing time.

Hilton Garden Inn Austin/Round Rock

The overall cleanliness wasn't good! Dirt in elevator, dirty windows, carpets stained and even the breakfast tables needed a good scrub! Around the corners of the tables had a lot filth and skin-grease.... In the hotel lobby and also in our room where a lot of mosquitoes.... Breakfast staff was very friendly and did a really good job... Whe booked breakfast seperate for 10$ for the two of us, but a lot of people didn't seem to know about the extra cost of the breakfast.... The breakfast cutlery and plates where plastic and it seemed a cheap option.... We didn't stay our second night, we booked a different hotel! We got a refund for our second night and we where promised that the manager would call us about our disappointment, but he never did call! This is our second time at a Hilton garden inn, and twice we found the properties run down, not clean and we will never book this hotel ever again!
Element Austin Round Rock

I traveled to AUS on a business trip and choose Element because they are approved through my company for travel/stay. Let me start by saying I had high hopes as the pictures were great and it is a hotel by The Westin! My room was fantastic and super clean! I rated the hotel 2 stars because I COULD NOT GET ANY SLEEP!! There is no sound barrier between floors so you will need to stay on the highest floor. I had to call the service desk multiple times asking them to ask the people at the pool at 2am talking to please stop. Again ZERO sound barrier. I felt like I was in an apartment and my upstairs neighbor weighed 500lbs and kept setting multiple alarms to wake up, which in turn woke me up every time! To the point that my right eye was swollen when I left because I literally got no sleep and was exhausted and tired. My eyes were so strained. If you are a heavy sleeper...you are going to love it. If you sleep light...keep looking or get a room on the highest floor away from the elevator and pool!

First of all I am a LIFETIME TITANIUM Marriott Member. I have stayed in a Marriott 1733 nights in 10 years (about 4.5 years of my life). I checked into this hotel for a week. On Thursday (Yesterday) I send a message via the Marriott app informing the front desk that I will need to extend my stay. This was at 10:30am. Today while working I receive a message and receipt checking me out of my room. I called and spoke to Lucas the GENERAL MANAGER explaining my situation. His feedback WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING at my information is ”Sorry were overbooked so I cant extend you”. I explain I am a Titanium Member and ask him to at least check and see if anything can be done, ”NO sorry”. I offer that I had requested the extension a day ago (not today) and that their failure to respond to that request was not my fault. ”Well we should have gotten back to you on that. Sorry, we cant do anything”. I have stayed in this property every time I come to Round Rock for work, NEVER AGAIN. After this and the other situation at another property recently I am HIGHLY considering moving to a different Brand. This is NOT what Marriott used to be. I guess ill find a last minute place to stay now. Also I have been on hold for 25 minutes with Marriot's Titanium guest Service number without even speaking to someone yet.
