Solitaire Lodge
4.8/530 Reviews
Wayne & Ingrid - Lodge Owners are hands on and incredibly attentive. The Lodge is clean and comfortable. The towels are super plush and the bathroom amenities are Molton Brown. Food is 5 Star! Chef’s are outstanding. We went trout fishing with Bob - we caught 15 pounds of trout. Bob was funny, informative and probably the best fisherman in Rotarura. The boat is big, comfortable and has excellent fishing equipment and technology. Our preplanned cycling tour got canceled. Wayne stepped up and found us an alternative and I must say it was the highlight of our trip so far in NZ. The bikes were top notch and the mountain bike trails were incredible with all levels accommodated for.
Pullman Rotorua
4.2/572 Reviews
The location of the hotel is very central, just opposite the visitor center. The room size is not too big, but the shower room and bathroom are quite big. There are a lot of Chinese tourists coming in and out, and the sound insulation of the room is average, and it is easy to be disturbed by residents who don't like to close the door.
Newina Rotorua
4.1/541 Reviews
Newina is a medium sized hotel, located 5 minutes away from towns centre The manager was very helpful and had excellent knowledge of tourist attractions in the area. The room was spotlessly clean and we were delighted to see a private courtyard with a huge spa. There is also a swimming pool and small conference room. Full laundry facility located on the ground floor. Very affordable and we will definitely stay again
Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel

Breakfast is good, the lakeside environment is also very good. Housekeeping service There is a Chinese staff service is particularly good. Room facilities are OK in New Zealand. Of course, it’s not as good as the country.
On the Point - Lake Rotorua
4.4/567 Reviews
The hotel used to be a private mansion with every detail. The hotel is facing Lake Rotorua, the room has a wide view, five minutes drive from the skyline and ten minutes from the downtown. The hotel has its own paddock, where horses and sheep graze leisurely on the slopes. Breakfast can be cooked to order, and the lamb in the kiwi breakfast is very good. It was very comfortable to take a walk in the courtyard after eating breakfast. The hotel staff was warm and considerate. Some regrets were that because of the self-service on the skyline, I didn't try the dinner at the hotel. I have a chance to try it next time. There is a study room on the second floor of the hotel. There is a 200-page world map on the table. It has been turned over and confirmed that there is no less in China.
Kings on Peace

A comfortable and spacious apartment with a private spa bath at the convenient location. Positives: Lovely staff Clean, tidy and comfortable room Fully equipped kitchen Big fridge Private spa Free unlimited WiFi/internet Good shower Washing machine and dryer Comfortable bed Split system air conditioner Private free on-site parking Negatives: Whilst the TV was large, it was an old plasma model that could not display gradients of dark colours and the picture was distorted (dark blocks) Blackout curtains however light leakage which my husband was not a fan of since he likes complete darkness while sleeping
