Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|1.48km from Piazza della Madonna dei Monti
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Near The Vatican City Rome|2.49km from Piazza della Madonna dei Monti
Not far from the Angel Castle and the Vatican. There are also some small supermarkets and large supermarkets around, which can meet temporary needs. There are several restaurants on the way to the attractions, but the taste is difficult to eat, salty and fresh, or it is poor attitude, English is lame, and Italian is not standard. The employees are not really locals. It is recommended to eat at attractions or downtown. Check-in waited for a long time, it was impossible to wait, the speed of processing was Italian. Don't like chatting between colleagues. This is a Delta flight attendant hotel, after all, it is impossible to live around Rome Airport. The room type has a small balcony, you can experience the heat of the Italian night. Compared with the same nh hotel, the hardware is good, the bathroom is very good, there is a foot basin, there are many towels, and 2 TVs and a small living room. Daylight is also sufficient, and internal light is also available. Breakfast was okay and there were many varieties. Cheese had local characteristics, but no ham. The drink is too sweet. It is quite satisfactory. The coffee machine actually has no characteristics, a bit regrettable, how should there be an espresso, no ... Come to the airport, the rental price is too expensive, the bus is cheap, but the service is very poor, there is no service in Italy. Very similar to the front desk.

!!!DO NOT STAY HERE!!! If you are looking for a stress free stay, do NOT stay at this hotel. I have never left a bad review in my life, but there is no way I could let the events of our stay occur, without warning people. I wish I had read other reviews before my stay, as many people have had the same issue with this staff member, who has worked here for 2 years, done the things she has done, and remains employed. On day one and Day 2: breakfast at 10 no issues. Day 3: breakfast at 8, no issues. Day 4: breakfast at 8:15, shouted at immediately that breakfast starts at 8:30 and we cannot eat now. (We had a tour to get to so had to leave by 8:30). We were shocked and went back to our room to get ready and go, and pay for a breakfast elsewhere. Then we decided this was ridiculous as she was immediately aggressive AND she let us eat breakfast at 08:00 the day before. At 8:20, we come out of our room and serve ourselves to the buffet regardless of her screaming about not being allowed to eat until 8:30. We sit down to eat and the screaming and aggression continues, yelling about the rules, about us not speaking italian when we are clearly english tourists, and banging on the table, throwing her pen and phone on the table and behaving like a toddler having a tantrum. In absolute shock we go to our tour, and come back to speak to management. Manager said ”she did the wrong thing, but i understand because you were so rude to eat breakfast despite the rules”. I admittedly got very heated because i had never been exposed to such aggression, especially over a 10 minute early breakfast when we were ”allowed” it at 8am the day before. The manager was in defence of this woman and did not care at all about bad reviews I had mentioned from other people. He said the reason for the breakfast ”rule” was to not disturb other customers. I assume eating a croissaint is less disruptive than the absolute abuse thrown our way by his employee. Other customers came out of their rooms when hearing the yelling from the employee and told us they had similar issues with her. Management does not care. I urge all people who have had a similar experience to contact iRooms franchise and share your situation

The Roman Empire Guesthouse

Monti Rome|0.12km from Piazza della Madonna dei Monti
I lived at the Roman Empire Guesthouse from September 16, 2021 to February 8, 2022, not counting the Christmas period, in the Giulia room. It is a place where it is evident that a large investment was made many years ago, to then abandon it to its fate and not make any renovations. Starting with the good things, we can highlight the location and that the bathrooms are modern. Now let's go to the fun part, it is a place that accepts long stays, I found it in Idealist and I liked it because it said that it was rented only to women. First lie, when I arrived there was a man living in one of the rooms. Also, one of the rooms is reserved for temporary guests, i.e. tourists, so this is not a quiet place to live. Because it is true that you hear very little noise from the street, but you will be able to find out what series the person two rooms over is watching or learn languages through the walls, especially if it is in the wee hours of the morning. Upon arrival, the manager, Flaminia, asked me to give her in cash the city tax (contributo di soggiorno), 35€ for a maximum of 10 nights. To my surprise, a month later, she asked me again for this payment. I looked for information about it because I could not believe that he wanted to take advantage of me so shamelessly. I found official documents stipulating that you cannot pay for more than ten nights in the same year if the stay has been continuous. I let her know and she threatened to report me to the police if I did not pay. In the end I paid every month because in the emails exchanged she had warned me that I had to do so. So if you finally go to live there keep this in mind and make it clear to her that you do not have to pay her this money. In one of the changes of bed linen and towels, the first one was burnt, and the second ones were dirty. I told her and everything was changed the next day, except the towels, which had not been left. I called her to get a solution and she did not show up, but told me to open a closet in the hallway where there was a towel and that they would put them on the next day. The table in the room does not have the table top bolted to the metal structure so it moves. I told them repeatedly and it was never fixed. Maybe you will find the toilet paper cylinder that I put in the hole to keep it from moving. Run, before they read the review, remove it and never fix it. If you go to this room (Giulia) you have to take into account the following. Do you like continuous and loud sounds, as if someone was whispering ”mmmm” in your ear and never stopped? If so, this room is perfect for you. Outside on the ”balcony” (we'll talk about it now, don't get ahead of yourself) are three air conditioning machines. One of which never stops and when I say never it is never. Sometimes it sounds quieter, sometimes louder, but it never stops. I hope you don't mind sleeping with earplugs, I had to adapt, I got used to the headaches, maybe you can too. Ah yes, the balcony! Do you like ris

I enjoyed my stay. The room was nice, neat and clean and an adequate size, though not spacious. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great. The location is also wonderful, located in a square with a fountain and a huge selection of restaurants, cafés, gelaterias, bakeries etc closeby. The only downside was noise- from the lift, and other rooms and an alarm on the last night

A great guest house right by the Colosseum. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Coffee making facilities were in a shared area. We had an early flight so arrived before check in but was kindly allowed to keep bags in one room which was ready. When arriving it’s not well advertised, it’s just a door next to a take away pizza restaurant. The rooms are situated up a few flights of stairs which we knew before we booked so wasn’t a problem. The key to get into the main area was sometimes tricky for some of our group. A great stay. Thank you

Breakfast is not used in the hotel. You can pay 6 euros per person and ask for a list from the front desk. Go out with the list and turn right for 200 meters. After passing a small intersection, walk a few steps straight to a small restaurant. 6 Euro includes a pastry, a cup of juice and a cup of coffee. We like to order the croissant. We must ask the waiter to add chocolate or cream to the croissant. If you don’t ask for it, it’s vegetarian. It seems that an extra bed is not enough. But you can book a room with a double bed and a small bed. This room type is on the sixth floor. We have lived in both types of rooms. We booked on different platforms and gave different rooms. The location of the hotel is excellent and it is convenient to go everywhere. Go out and turn left and walk 5 minutes to the subway station. There is a Chinese restaurant next to the subway station. There is also a Chinese restaurant when you turn right out of the hotel! Rome is not big, you can walk to various famous attractions without taking the subway! At the beginning, we used the subway to get there, but later found that it was very convenient to walk. In Rome, you can only feel the charm of this city on foot! It is particularly worth mentioning that the three receptionists at the front desk of the hotel have excellent service! Will book this hotel next time.

This hotel is very good. It is in a building from the 1820s. The location is also very good, one step away from the Colosseum. But one thing worth reminding is that the key pick-up place is some distance away from the hotel, about a kilometer walk. The key pick-up place is also a hotel. The front desk will ask you if you want to stay there. Remember, don’t just try to save trouble. , I went upstairs and took a look, it was like a slum, damp and dark, small ones couldn't get in. I resolutely decided to choose the one I booked, and it was indeed different. It had a bedroom, living room, and two bathrooms.

The room is very clean, but it is very small, and you can only get there after going upstairs. The room was also remodeled in a corner, and the sound insulation is average; the front desk is very fierce
