We stayed at Hotel Palazzo Manfredi for two nights, and overall, the experience was moderate — certainly not what we expected for a five-star property in such a prime location near the Colosseum.
Room & Comfort
The room was elegant in design, but not exceptionally spacious for the price point. While the view of the Colosseum is undeniably impressive, the surroundings were rather noisy, especially during the evening, which made it difficult to fully relax.
Service & Hospitality
Service was polite but lacked the warmth and attentiveness typically associated with a boutique luxury hotel. Check-in and check-out were efficient, but there was nothing particularly memorable about the overall hospitality experience.
Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast was quite ordinary — limited variety and no standout dishes. Given the room rates, we expected more creativity or premium offerings. The restaurant setting is beautiful, but the food selection didn’t match the ambiance.
Overall Value
For the premium price, the overall value was underwhelming. The hotel’s reputation and location set high expectations, but the actual experience didn’t justify the cost. Noise levels, average breakfast, and the lack of exceptional service made the stay feel more like a standard four-star experience than a true luxury escape.
Verdict: A stylish property with postcard views of the Colosseum, but not the best value for money. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for travelers seeking a peaceful or particularly indulgent stay in Rome.
