"Cool laminated leather
Fall on the ground dying yellow
Tears burning skin swallowed
Consumed in the face of deep despair
The opaque eyes were not targeted.
Nothing could leave him alive and safe.
As your image in a hidden mirror
Ritualized in fire and smoke health expended"
"Good location
Cleaning service in general good
The hotel is a bit old and neglected in some rooms. We stayed in 3 different rooms and all of them had something old or could be improved. However, in relation to price vs quality it is acceptable. Basic for a tourist stay in Rio. Breakfast is served every day the same, however it is a buffet and you can put together different dishes."

"Overall it was a good stay.
Room was in the smallish size, however it was clean and comfortable.
Bathroom was rather large.
The pool water seemed to be a bit dirty / unmaintained.
Breakfast was good."
"The hotel is very well located, super beautiful, extremely pleasant, the terrace always has events at night, so it already gives a sightseeing to start the walk. When I hosted the bathroom had a problem with water and only was available hot water, and I thought the air-conditioning could be individualized by each room and not through tubing."
"This is the best hotel in Rio de Janeiro if you are looking for a beach experience. The hotel is right in front of the beach in a safe part of it. You will have breakfast right in front of the beach, you get the best view from the rooftop pool (which is heated, for me is a plus).
Negative points: cheapest room is incredibly small and has a terrible view. Recepcion is very busy all the time and 20% of the staff are not friendly, but the other 80% are.
You can't expect them to book you a restaurant for example, and if they do they will not be very happy.
My suggestions for Arpoador: i love your place, i have been there 3 times and i will return. It would be nice to have a welcome drink on arrival, and the pool upstairs could have some relaxing music. Also staff with a little more training would be perfect! Some of them are already perfect."
"Exceptional place! The towels are brand new, the view is beautiful and it is very close to the beach and bars, however, the place is on a very quiet street with lots of peace and quiet. And the breakfast has a great variety of fruits, juices, coffees, cakes, breads, etc. The breakfast area has a view that is charming. Thank you very much for the great service."
"244rmb I was very satisfied with one night. Good location, in front of Princesa Isabel Avenue, 5 minutes walk to Copacobana Beach, 5 minutes to the reverse tunnel to Rio Sul Mall, then go to Fogo de Chao (I did not patronize), run to Sugarloaf Mountain, major The beach is fine. My room is quite open on the 10th floor, bright and clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful. Walk 5 minutes to the subway."
"Great health.
However, employee information is different.
Reservation information will not be updated at the reception desk.
I immediately paid 50% of the fee to extend the stay. The next day, I was woken up by the staff to remind me of the check-out time, and I learned that I had paid for the extended time.
After a long time, I left, and when I returned to the room, my room was sealed off.
At the reception, I learned that the reason was the checkout time (the next day)
Once again, I told me to pay 50% of the value of my stay per day until 18 hours.
The receptionist was not notified and did not find any information about this information in the system.
At the time of my relatives, my reservations were also lost.
They must call the reservation department because the information has not been updated in the system. To my surprise, my reservation was cancelled without notice.
I asked about the use of the hotel’s swimming pool, and the receptionist told me that due to the pandemic law, leisure is prohibited.
The next day, I was trapped in the room and had nothing to do because I was unattractive in the hotel and its surroundings.
When I decided to go out to breathe fresh air, there was only 1 hour left to check out. I found that the swimming pool was fully operational and some guests liked it very much.
And I wasted a whole day in the room, thinking it was forbidden because of masturbation.
"
"Well located, well organized, excellent service, the rooms are very tight, my had no ventilator and others had, this was missing during the day due to the difficulty of connecting the air conditioning.
The cleaning was left to desire a little, the bed was dust and then the insight that I had made a while without a faxine."

GGuest UserWe booked this hotel in Nov at an inflated price of $1500 USD for 4 nights assuming there'd be rooftop access on NYE since the hotel website didn't call out a ticketed event for that night. When we arrived, the staff told us it was in fact a ticketed event for an additional $300 USD. Perhaps our oversight but we scowered the website before booking at such a high price and it wasn't there. The manager was very helpful in accommodating a cancellation if needed, ultimately we were too tired to pack and unpack again and waste another day in transit so we stayed and bought the tickets.
Check in is 2pm. We arrived at 1pm and they said they had a room for us. It wasn't ready so we went to the pool where again, service was wonderful. Front desk gave us a tour of 2 rooms to choose from which was great, but then msgd me and said they'd have a diff room ready at 2:30. We went down at 3pm and the room changed yet again and the new room still wasn't ready. We got a room with no apologies at 4pm.
The room was standard. Strong cleaning smell but decent. The shower hose didn't stay in place. The shower drain did not work at all - we had to kick the water to the corner each time for it to drain or pools of water stayed until the next day. The sink also didn't drain. The toilet stopped flushing. We had a plate with one chocolate on it from NYE which by the next day was covered in ants. We are very tidy girls and give some grace for older hotels to have some flaws, but the experience for the price we paid made us appreciate the airbnbs we'd stayed at before checking in here.
Location is great, gym and pool are great, but not worth the $ for NYE or Carnival.
EEstadia em famíliaPoints for improvement: The hotel has an inadequate pool location, with the view blocked by a film. The pool was very dirty, with dirt and cloudy water. There was no control whatsoever. The air conditioning had a broken blade and was held in place by a bag of sugar. The bathroom was not very clean. The TV was not connected to the Wi-Fi.
Positive points: The room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the service was very good, the location is good despite being far from the beach, and the breakfast, although it had many gluten-free options, had several savory dishes.
CCarl AntonyAlthough slightly out of the way, the views and proximity to the beach are excellent.
However, the service is quite poor and way below international standards. Most staff stand around and play with their phones (even the life guard). Breakfast is basic and doesn’t change from day-to-day. Some of the restaurant’s food is frankly embarrassing for any type of food outlet. The chefs should be quite ashamed to send it out.
The pool is area is nice but worn out. No one cleans it during the day and tables are dirty. The loungers have seen better days. English language is quite rare apart from the receptionists, which to be fair, they’re probably the best staff there.
The potential of the hotel is there - just needs good management and training. Do better!
CCostaNelsonVery friendly staff, nice hotel. I booked a suite for one night, the room was clean although it could use some refurbishing. One window didn't lock, so the noise from the street was constant. Located in a street with some stores, but not an area where you feel safe walking around. No toiletries included apart from s soap and shower gel/shampoo. Coffee machine in the bedroom with 2 coffee pods. I couldn't see a menu anywhere, assumed these were complimentary, as in most hotels where you rent a suite. I was surprised to be charged 1.5 USD per capsule on checkout, and that there was a QR code informing me of this in the room. I couldn't find it anywhere though.
All in all, great staff, but there is definitely a much better price to service/location ratio than this hotel in Rio
GGuest UserMy first room had the worst stains on the chair and sofa. No way should this room been allowed for check in. I booked a queen bed apartment and was moved to a. Double bed room with a view as trade. I was tired and could not be bothered to argue.
There was an apology by the checkin staff.
The breakfast is average (I came from Salvador where breakfast was amazing).
Housekeeping and services were good - all the ladies were nice and pleasant.
The bed had one pillow and the sheets had holes. There was no spare blanket in the room and the duvet provided was not the best so it got cold on a few nights and was too hot on others.
Shower facilities were good but no skin lotion in the room which was fine as I had my own.
No free water in the room only the minibar too - had to go to ibis hotel next door at like 2am to buy stuff there …both hotels are linked
Generally the stay was mediocre and the area does not have anything to do. It is ok and central for Uber which was a bonus.
Would I stay there again - hardly likely
Would I challenge that I am owed money as the room I paid for is not what I was given - may do …if I have the energy
Hopefully Novotel would reach out to me before that happens

AAndreiaWonderful hotel, spacious, clean, airy room, with a balcony facing the street, very attractive, super comfortable beds, super cold air conditioning, strong and warm shower, bedspreads available, TOP pool, large and beautiful on the terrace with a super cool view, and super plentiful and delicious breakfast, I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.
AAnonymous UserGreat accommodation! I like staying at the Riale, especially because of its location in Catete, close to the subway and the Museu da República, shops, restaurants, pharmacies and the Flamego park, which is a wonderful tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro. However, I still think the hotel needs to be renovated. The daily rate does not match the accommodations offered.
The cleanliness is excellent and the breakfast is reasonable. However, when the room key card did not open the door, I had to walk back to the reception through the huge, hot hallways. I stayed in a room with an air conditioner so old that the noise did not let me sleep well. I shared the room with a friend and we could not use the bathroom in private because the bathroom door did not close.
The staff is very friendly, but they forgot some cosmetics in the shower and did not even contact me to let me know, which I thought was rude.
GGuilherme FaustoThis is the 4th time in a row that we have stayed at the Astoria, but we checked in at night and, to our dismay, they threw us on the 1st floor, which was a room for a disabled person, I believe… we requested something better, but it was only for the next day.
In this same room, the view was not even there, whereas I had booked it with a view of the city, the breakfast was pleasant, the cleanliness was also excellent, the service from PEDRO, in particular, was top-notch… the night attendant barely responded to us.

NNicholasThis property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality.
The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good.
The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age.
I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view.
RRangziyouzhifengyongyuanchuifuThe room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The water pressure of the bathroom tap is low and the breakfast is rich. The hotel is conveniently located, with many restaurants around. It is 70 meters away from the subway entrance. It is a recommended budget hotel for traveling in Rio de Janeiro
