Mixed Experience at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay My recent 7-night stay at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay had both positive and disappointing aspects, leaving me with a mixed overall experience. On a positive note, the hotel extended a kind gesture by upgrading our room from a Deluxe Room to a Pool Suite for the first two nights, and I had already booked the Pool Suite for the subsequent 5 nights. The room was comfortable, with a fantastic view, and the breakfast offerings were diverse, featuring both Asian and Western options. However, the positive aspects were overshadowed by the consistently rude behavior of the staff. Throughout our stay, my family and I felt unwelcome, as if our presence inconvenienced the staff. Simple requests, like asking for a fork, were met with eye rolls and an unwarranted attitude, detracting from the overall enjoyment of our stay. Notably, a negative incident occurred concerning a complimentary 90-minute presentation for a free Phi Phi Island trip. Due to my 2.5-year-old son's difficulty adjusting to the new environment, I had to cancel the presentation a day in advance. The staff's response was unprofessional and lacked empathy, placing blame on us for potential performance incentives and suggesting we should not have booked the trip at all. Despite a few exceptions, the majority of the staff displayed a disappointing lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to my child falling ill, prompting an early checkout and reinforcing my decision to not recommend Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay for future stays. This experience marked my first and last visit to this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Had to request room to be cleaned several times. Construction right now is a pain. Get the happy hour cocktails - they are fantastic! Nice pool, but breakfast is little expensive if not included in the booking price. Beach & Bubbles restaurant nearby has great breakfast after 11am. 5 min walk to the beach is a hassle, but they do allow towels to be taken to the beach. Will be a great stay once the construction next door is done. Pleasant place to stay tho.

We booked this hotel as a last minute choice. Having been staying in Patong and wanted to look for something a bit quieter. I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a family room which over looked the kids pool. Our room was very spacious, clean with its own kitchenette. I can’t fault nothing in this hotel! The gym is air-coned. Location of the hotel is ok nice and quiet with a few local restaurants & bars. Bus shuttle to the beach.

I really loved the staff in this hotel. If you have problems, they are more than willing to help you 🥰❤️ just like the instance that my phone was left in the taxi. They called the taxi driver and brought it back to me. ❤️ I’ve never been disappointed, it’s really indeed a 5-star hotel experience 🥰🔥🥰 Thank you so much for the whole staff, really enjoyed my entire stay 🤩🤩🤩 keep it up guys ❤️ When I’ll be back in Phuket, I will definitely stay here 🎉

Phuket Airport
Pros: The hotel is about an 8 min drive to the airport and 10 min walk to the beach. Rooms are more holiday-apartment style with a kitchenette and lounge area + bedroom. Our room was cleaned daily & check-in was a breeze. They have hourly shuttles to the beach and back. Buffet breakfast with a wide variety of meals. There’s a Sabai Massage and a 7-eleven just around the corner. Cons: The main lobby is not wheelchair - friendly they don’t have a ramp and you will have to lift your heavy suitcases over the steps to and from reception!!The shower gel & shampoo are tiny only enough for 1 person to use just once. They provide only 1 gown and sleepers to use for 7 days. There’s a laundry service that only takes 10 baht coins and you need to go to the bank to get them if the 7-Eleven doesn’t have enough! Waisted a whole day tryin to get coins cos the hotel didn’t have any & the banks were closed. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful stay!
