Ibis Properties in Phuket

Having stayed at many Ibis hotels, this one's room layout was pretty standard and consistent. It even had a swimming pool and a resort-like vibe. If you walk out and turn left, you'll reach Patong Beach in five minutes. A fifteen-minute walk along the beach will take you to Patong Night Market and the smart bus stop for the airport. However, overall, the facilities are in dire need of a major renovation and maintenance. In my room, for instance, the iron furniture was severely rusted, there were multiple stains on the bedding, and the balcony door was broken, among other issues that I just had to put up with. The most awkward moment was when the showerhead fell off mid-shower; its holder was already deformed, so I had to hold the showerhead by hand. After showering, the entire bathroom was flooded, and it couldn't dry out all night because there was no drain under the sink. I really hope the hotel undergoes a massive facility upgrade. On the brighter side, the hotel's location is quite good, and the young ladies working at the front desk were also very pleasant.

Honestly, it's worse than a 200 yuan county hotel back home. There were ants in the room, and they put me in a corner room. They even jacked up the price to 900 a night for Chinese New Year. Good thing I just needed a place to sleep for one night and then quickly left.
