If you’re looking for an overpriced, rustic, roadside motel then this is it. Built in probably the 40’s, the web site says “recently renovated” but someone stopped well short of that. Reading the details, it says “TV in the lobby” because there are none in the rooms. Heat was from an electric space heater. So when I woke up in the middle of the night cold, I had to get out of bed and walk to the portable heater. The original hardwood floors were as cold as it was outside, just below freezing. In the dark it was easy to see light coming in on three sides of my room door. 10 minutes after setting the heater on high the fire/smoke detector went off. Standing on a plastic chair (that’s what you get to sit on in the room) I had to take it down and remove the batteries to silence it. For the room rate charged they need to completely renovate the motel top to bottom. If a room had been available at Motel 6, it would have been a welcome upgrade. The only positive comment I can make is that the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I will not stay there again.
