Iam Hotel

Osaka|0.28km from G3
I stayed for five nights here and it was a very good experience staying here! my twin room has two single beds of good quality mattress (a bit firm) and nice thick blanket. the room size is okay, understandable as most hotel room on this budget in big cities in Japan is usually very compact and small. the room lacks racks / place to put your luggage, however, there is daybed / sofa that i put my luggage into. there is water heater and two cups, but lack of instant coffee / tea, however, at the lobby, they provide good quality all you can drink coffee, tea, soda and etc, from 3pm to 10am. bathrobe is in drawer. slippers are provided The room is clean, well lit but the only windows is frosted glass so can't see anything outside. bathroom is well sized, with bathtub and shower head too. standard bathroom amenities are all provided and complete and good quality. even better, they provide sachets of body lotion, cleansing oil, toner, shaving cream and after shave lotion! However, they implement what they call as 'eco-cleaning', thorough cleaning and changing of blanket and linen is only done on 3rd day of your stay, however, the staff will replenish all of your amenities everyday and also replace towel. wifi works great, airconditioner excellent too. location wise, its in the center of Osaka, very near to the dotonbori, shinsaibashi and namba area, which means, its in the centre of food-mecca of osaka. there are two metro line nearby too that will get you anywhere. if you are returning to KIX airport, a 10-15 min walk to namba station north entry is easy. another highlight of my stay is their staff is so friendly, particularly Jason who speaks english really well! he even took initiative to provide us with huge paper bag after seeing is bringing lots of goods on separate plastic bag. thank you so much Jason, you are what every hotel need on reception desk :)

Good modern design hotel. Staffs speak English and Japanese. Location is excellent. Near shinbashi and dodotenburi. I like this hotel 8.5/10. Safe hotel. Hotel is best with its location. There is still room to improve. I will book again when I return Osaka. Near train station too. I am happy to book this hotel. The disadvantage is that this hotel doesn’t look grand and luxury
Holiday Inn Osaka Namba, an IHG Hotel

The hotel location itself is unbeatable, being at the heart of Namba and right next to Dotonbori. The nearest stations are about a 10-15 minute walk away, which may be a bit far. The rooms provided by the hotel are small (which is normal in Japan) but adequate. The hotel is very old fashioned - room key cards need to be inserted rather than tapping for elevator and room access (this often took several attempts), the TV in the room appears quite dated, and the bath and amenities provided also feel very old fashioned. Nevertheless, the hotel was adequate for a few nights stay.
HOTEL FORZA OSAKA NAMBA

It is a hotel facing Dotonbori bustle and the street, and it is thankful for tourists anyway. Restaurants and convenience stores are just 〜. It is said that it was newly made and the building is beppin. The bed width is also large, and the problem is that I am bad sleeping! Along the street, it is very troublesome & in the middle of the night? I thought it was not at all. I'm sorry for prejudice. I will use it again 〜
Candeo Hotels Osaka Shinsaibashi

Diamond location, 100 meters away from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Daimaru. The food choices are unbeatable, room service is on time every day, and the room layout is reasonable. The three-person executive room is highly recommended for a family of three. There are two convenience stores within 100 meters. Giving full marks is a must.

The facilities, sanitation, environment, and services are all good. I will come again. I just don’t know when, where, and under what circumstances, how much I like others when we meet 🤷♂️, Castle Tower! Shinjuku Kabuki has such a strong cast, is it not easy for you to do that? More about Osaka

Introduction to Osaka

Osaka, Japan's third-largest city, is a dynamic metropolis known for its modern architecture, lively nightlife, and hearty street food culture. It is located in the Kansai region on the main island of Honshu. Osaka's friendly locals and a myriad of attractions, including historic landmarks, theme parks, and shopping districts, provide a compelling contrast to Tokyo's hustle and bustle.

Tips for Travelling to Osaka

Osaka is served by two airports: Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport, with Kansai being the primary gateway for international travelers. The city has an excellent public transportation system, including JR trains, subways, and buses. Japan's famous bullet trains also connect Osaka with other major cities.

The official currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY), and while credit cards are widely accepted, it's worth carrying some cash for smaller establishments. The official language is Japanese, and while English is not commonly spoken by older locals, younger generations and service staff at tourist attractions usually have a good understanding.

Visa requirements for Japan vary depending on your country of origin, so always check in advance. Many countries enjoy visa-free access for short-term visits.

Popular Attractions in Osaka

Dotonbori is Osaka's entertainment heart, with its iconic Glico Man sign, an array of restaurants, and exciting street performances. A visit to Osaka Castle, one of Japan's most famous landmarks, is essential.

Universal Studios Japan, a popular theme park featuring Harry Potter World, is a favorite among families. Explore the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of the largest public aquariums in the world, or shop 'til you drop in the Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Osaka experiences four distinct seasons. The spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) are the best times to visit, with pleasant temperatures and beautiful cherry blossoms or fall colors. Summers can be hot and humid, while winters are mild but chilly. Depending on the season of your visit, pack accordingly - light, breathable clothing for summer, and warm layers for winter.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Osaka
