Hotels near Sumber Indah Aquarium Toko in Nagoya

Here annually, because of its superb location - near a large mall, near several massage centres (my perennial favourite being Thai best), near several excellent food places (must check out Mickey Mouse 66, as well as the coffee shops in its vicinity), near several wholesale shops but they do sell individual items (fantastic branded knock-offs at fantastic prices). As for the hotel itself, rooms are large; with basic amenities and free mineral water. Concierge is reliably helpful, friendly and efficient. Receptionists (same air of sulkiness, whoever is manning the station, whatever time) and buffet breakfasts (why eat here when there are superb choices nearby) are consistently below average, whether the hotel was “Gideon” or is “Gideon by Aston”.

Breakfast was good, variety was ok on the weekend, however need improve the variety bfast on weekday. We stayed for 5 Night on 14 - 19 Oct and staff were also very friendly, courteous and helpful, especially for Rafft for making our stay extra enjoyable with his great service. Comfy bed, and big bathroom. the location of the hotel is very strategic in the city center and if you want to go to the mall or look for other food options it's only walking distance.

Me and my family had the chance to stay at Aston Nagoya Hotel. We got check in process was super fast and seamless. We were assigned to a room on the 13th floor and oh boy.. what a nice room. It has the best city view of batam, in the night we can see the lighting of batam. Nearest from food court and shopping mall. All the staff very great service from the security, reception and resto staff. They did a very good job in providing an excellent service. Last but not least, special thank you to the Duty Manager, Mr. Randi who made our stay very memorable. He was very kind and attentive to all our needs throughout the stay. Thumbs up for his great job and effort to make our stay enjoyable. He is a great asset to this company. Definitely will stay here again and highly recommended hotel in Batam!

Stayed between 12 - 14 Dec 2022. The hotel is about 5 mins walk away from Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal. There are 2 Circle K across the hotel and the stretch of seaside restaurants (Wey Wey, Alco) is about 2 mins away. Nearest supermarket, Go Go Supermart is located approximately 5 mins walk away from the hotel, located beside Swiss-Bell Hotel and underneath the defunct Harbour Bay Mall. Hotel's Front Desk is friendly and able to communicate in English. I was asked to consider upgrading my room at a special price (~S$9) as the room I booked was small. I agreed since the offer was much larger and came with a balcony. Regrettably, my room was only ready at about 3.30pm, 30mins after the check-in time at 3pm. My Room (207) is in a slightly run down condition with uneven floor tiles, cracks and paint peeling on the walls, water ponding at the toilet drain outlet next to the toilet bowl. The cleanliness is bad too with stains on the covers of the bed, pillows, blanket. The furniture surfaces in the room and balcony were dusty. Water pressure in the shower was adequate but the hot water only lasted for about 5 mins. Bath towels were unavailable during check in and only available at 4pm according to Housekeeping. I left for dinner at around 5pm and the towels weren't delivered yet. Thankfully, they were there when I came back. The view on my balcony was partially obstructed by the hotel's signboard as it is located directly above the hotel's arrival lobby. The corridor was dark most of the time with only lights at both ends. During my stay, I've only encountered the lights for the whole corridor switched around 7pm only on one evening. Breakfast is provided Sweet Corner Restaurant at Level 1 of the hotel between 7am to 11am. The food was simple with options of rice, noodles, porridge, white bread with condiments. Style of the staples and complimenting dishes varies daily. Eggs can be ordered from the staff. Choices available were Sunny Side Up, Soft Boiled, Omelette. The options for beverages were tea, coffee, and orange juice made from highly watered down concentrated syrup. I also have 2 of my lunches there; once while waiting for check-in and once before check-out. Staff were not eager to serve though but still gets your order right. Waiting time for my lunch to be served was about 10 mins. Located at Level 1 is also Alamanda Spa & Massage, which offers various types of massages and spa treatments. They have a beautiful section on the rooftop of the hotel but it could be only used for the higher tiered packages as I was always led to the rooms at Level 1 twice for my Tradition Full Body and Totok Wajah massages. Grab can pick up at the hotel. Please note that Grab are not able to pick up passengers at the Ferry Terminal and some Hotels and Shopping Malls. You might have to walk a distance away from these locations to board. Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and Batam City Square Mall (BCM) have dedicated Grab Points at the Pintu Timur (East Entrance)

Wonderful apartment. Very clean and worth the price. The ambiance of the hotel is simply breathtaking. The elegant décor, tasteful furnishings, and attention to detail create an atmosphere of sophistication and luxury. Everywhere I looked, from the stylish lounge areas to the meticulously landscaped gardens, there was an air of refinement that made me feel pampered and relaxed. The room itself was a haven of comfort and tranquility. Spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed, it provided everything I needed for a truly rejuvenating stay. The plush bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep, while the modern amenities, including a state-of-the-art entertainment system and high-speed internet access, catered to my every convenience.

Staff is very friendly. They gave us a connecting room even though we only booked a normal room. Hotel is quite old, and some of the facilities are quite worn out. But overall is still good for this price point. Location is good too. Walked straight out and you can locate numerous restaurants.

Checked into this hotel at abt 8 or 9pm, cos we could not stand the hotel we checked in earlier. Was so glad that we got a beautiful deluxe room for ourselves at this timing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The reception even accommodated my last minute request for a birthday surprise for my hubby at midnight. They were so nice!! They prepared a choco lava cake with a birthday candle and a Happy Birthday wish on the plate. And 2 staff were there singing a Happy Birthday song as well. Hubby was very much caught by surprise. The room was great - spacious with sofa and armchairs with nice looking furniture, the whole room is very clean with a nice cosy setting, bathroom amenities was great, and the king bed and pillows were so comfortable I had the best sleep in many months! The best sleep was definitely the highlight of my holiday this time round 🤭 Location is awesome as its so near to Nagoya Hill Mall, all we had to do was just go by the back way. Breakfast is nice and filling. I'm not really a picky water so being full is good for me. We had a great view from our room as well. It was such a pleasure and a redemption from the bad service we unfortunately had to receive from our earlier booking at another hotel. The rooms are really as nice as the photos they uploaded. Really made our day here at Grand I Hotel. Thank you to all the staff who have served us during our stay 28 to 30 Jan 2023 at Room 627. We are really grateful for a wonderful holiday and birthday experience here. We will definitely be back here when we come to Batam again. Keep up the good work!

Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is having a good advantage on location, located in the heart of Batam Center, where luxury and homey abound. It is an old hotel, but it is well maintained and it is connected to a modern life style, near local culinary and having a good entertainment with roof top bar. The staffs are giving a good hospitality and helpful. Sahid Batam Center hotel could fit for business and personal use. Over all, Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is a good hotel to stay. Stayed 2 nights at the one @komplek baloi. Good location, near 2 shopping mall (BCS mall and Grand Batam mall). Outside the hotel there are many eateries, some are outdoor tents and there's also outdoor food court. Massage places are many around this hotel also. Convenience store also available across the street. The hotel is quite new, but the bedsheet a bit yellowish and saw stain at the corner. When i requested to change the bedsheet next day (by putting the card), they didn't do it because saw the same stain at the same spot. Came 2pm for check-in but the room still not ready yet, so waited at the lobby. There were no hand towel provided, called the housekeeping and they only gave face towel. Breakfast spread quite good, but taste average. They allowed for late checkout at 1pm.

Hotel was mediocre. Room does not have minibar. Airconditioning works weirdly. Switched it on but cannot feel any cold air within the room. Had to switched it off and switched it on again and again to ensure it works perfectly. Heater was useless. By the time it hits the second person who wants to shower,theres only cold water. Raised it up but no difference. So didnt bother to raise it up again. In front of the hotel there was a massive construction with a lot of noise obstruction. No message was left in the room to inform us on the massive drillings that we had to face. Nevetheless, the balcony was a plus point. Your staff Bayu was great. Check in was seamless , he took the time to explain to us thoroughly and informed us on the channels that was showing WorldCup. The Google nest in the room was a plus point too! Which i think its very brilliant. Havent been to a hotel that uses a google nest as a form of communication to the Reception which is very user friendly. Netflix and spotify was available too! Walking distance to Nagoya which is fine. Provided a 24/7 in room spa services whch require a 30minutes lead time as well. It was an average stay. Could have been better.
