5 Star Hotels in Lijiang

The reception service staff is very good. The hotel is very convenient to travel. When I went to stay on the first day, I encountered loud noises all night and stayed on the top floor. But in the morning I came down to change to a new room and considered the service to be good.

Super loved our stay at Intercontinental Lijiang. Hotel location is fantastic, the main entrance is along the road hence cars can enter and drop you off directly at the main lobby. The side gate of the hotel leads directly into the ancient town. There is no need to drag your luggage through the rocky roads of the ancient town. Buggy service to and fro the main lobby and rooms are available 24/7. Amenities are good, with an indoor pool and sauna as well as a in-house spa centre. The cafe in the lobby has a very beautiful view of the snow mountain, and is nice to have tea there to enjoy the view. They even have a dyson hair dryer in every room too. Highly recommend 👍🏼

It's a little dated inside but still a beautiful accommodation. It's like a small house that has its own little but well manicured courtyard. The bedroom has large glass panels from floor to ceiling that open onto the courtyard. The hotel is more like a town with a large pond in the center with beautiful flowers, bamboo, lots of song birds and trees. Highly recommend, especially if you love classical Chinese architecture.

Pros: This is a good hotel for a family! My son loves the animal feeding activities. The view at the tea house is amazing. The hotel has their own game room, convenient store, etc. They have many restaurants and taste delicious!! Breakfast has lots of choices and starts early. The expat manager/supervisor woman was really nice, friendly, helpful and accommodating! Thank you! Cons: 1. The front desk/reception. They need to be more welcome and friendly. They were snobbish, not welcome and can’t really speak english (its a chain hotel, hyatt hotel!). We were just about to checked in and were greeted with those frown, if only we havent paid the room we were thinking to move to pullman instead. 2. Book for mountain view room, but they gave us no mountain view. we have to ask to move to other room. 3. We got the room we want, but i think they havent clean the room for awhile, the floor is filthy. 4 if only there is no time schedule to see the alpaca since some people already has their plans for the day and the time schedule might not be fit with guest itineraries. Or they can give us the hotel schedule once we booked the hotel so we can work on our itineraries before check in. Conclusion: we really enjoyed our stay. Other staffs beside the front desk are nice and friendly. Might come back if they improve the front desk ladies.

The service is very good and the response is fast. The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to Dongba Valley opposite to see the golden mountain in the sun. You can also see the snow mountain directly from the hotel restaurant. It takes 30 minutes by taxi to Yulong Snow Mountain, which is very close, and 20 minutes to Baisha Ancient Town. The landscaping is beautiful. I experienced thangka, tie-dyeing and brewing tea around the stove for free. It was a big surprise~

This place is a combination of Chinese traditional style of setting with modern classy set up. I was amazed by the this hotel. I rate this hotel as above the highest rating. The staff our super friendly and kind. Our housekeeper Alice provide us the excellent service. Not only she upgrade the room for us but also service us with the cake. We felt honored, and we were very touched by the decorations they put in our room too. The breakfast was so wonderful the choice of food awesome. Words can’t truly express how amazing this resort is. You need to just simply come and experience. The staff took care of every single detail and went above and beyond. World class and luxury. 这个地方是中国传统风格的设置与现代高档设置的结合。虽然酒店有一定历史，但是所有的设施和装潢都是与众不同的。我给这家旅馆的评价在最高等级以上。这里的员工非常友好和善良。我们的管家alice为我们提供了极好的服务。她不仅为我们升级了房间，而且还提供了蛋糕。我们感到荣幸，我们也很感动的房间布置的装饰。早餐太棒了，食物的选择也很棒。语言无法真正表达这个度假胜地有多神奇。你只需要来体验一下。工作人员照顾到每一个细节，超越一切。世界级的奢华。

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was situated in a quiet area. I loved that there were a lot of trees around. The breakfast was standard not much variation from one day to the next. The room was clean, I'll attach some photos. The security guards were really friendly. Rena went the extra mile to ensure that I had a great stay from recommending different places I could visit to arranging for my takeaway to be delivered to my door every night. Thank you once again Rena for the excellent service, it really goes a long way for someone who is travelling alone.

The hotel is located north of lijiang ancient city that takes about 5-7mins walk to the most happening area of the ancient city. We booked a room for 3 nights and I really enjoyed the stay, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and my wife loves the shower water pressure. Hotel reception is 24/7, furthermore the staffs are friendly and helpful. They provide decent local food, and the restaurant is beautiful. Besides, they have wonderful facilities such as indoor & outdoor sitting areas, study areas, laundry room(free of charge if DIY), mahjong room, tea room etc. We will come back again when we visit lijiang next time.

Staying in this hotel is really just for the view of the mountain. Service is so-so and hotel breakfast is quite underwhelming with staff needing reminder to replenish at around 930am. Me and my friend had to remind the staff for our omelette order, which arrived when we were done. At the Checkin counter, staff will tout you for star gazing trips as well as massage packages. It was a cloudy day yet the staff said we can see the stars, so we obviously didn’t take up the offer. Key positive is the photoshoot which allows 5 free photos + 15s video. The room is nice & spacious, with a nice living room space and balcony to enjoy the view of the mountain. However, the toilet door may lock if you close a tad too hard + bathroom has a damp tower smell. For a ~US$500 stay in this region, you’re paying for the view of the mountain + photoshoot (5 pic + 15s vid) + room (if your toilet is okay).

Easy to find as is the tallest building in the town. The hotel has two parts to it- the International main building and a smaller 'local' style Which is where is stayed. Really lovely setting Just wasn't too impressed by the room Which had obviously seen better days. Pool on roof with a great view was a nice touch and breakfast had me set off for my journey in a good mood. Would come again, Just Hope for a better room. PS: Collins at reception speaks English Really well and has been working at the hotel since it was built twenty years ago and is a great Welcome host
