We had a bad experience there. Especially the service. No words to say for the managers behaviour. Really rude and bad attitude. They are the reason for me to start writing review for the hotels i have stayed. The women who sit on the front desk in my photo are really really rude...

The location right on the beach, in front of the swimming area, was great. The attached restaurant was also delicious. Amenities were limited to built-in shampoo and body soap, mineral water, a hairdryer, and bath towels only. There was no toothbrush, which I should have brought myself. The room and bed were clean, but the unit bathroom had a sewage smell and the drainage was poor, causing water to pool.

We stayed at the hotel in March. It's a very good, simple hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower and toilet were standard. It's perfect for a 1-4 day stay. The bed linen is good (cotton), and you get two pillows per person. Beach towels are provided. Their food is genuinely delicious! I'm not talking about breakfast here, but the à la carte menu (Tom Yum is top-notch). The beach is superb; since the hotel is almost at the very end of the beach, not many people venture that far. It's about a 10-minute walk to 7/11. Regarding sun loungers, they're 100 baht all along the beach. However, the hotel has its own comfortable, seated lounge chairs (the kind you'd pay for if you walked further down the beach). There are also foldable ones, but you have to pay for those even as a hotel guest. As for noise: our room was on the second floor at the very end, and we didn't hear a thing.
In the evenings, each hotel along the beach has daily parties with music, fire shows, etc. I really enjoyed it!
To get to the hotel, you need to go to Tawaen Pier. Ferries costing 30 baht per person run to it from 8 AM to 1 PM. Alternatively, you can take a speedboat for 150 baht per person.

I really enjoyed my stay here.
1. Rooms are clean and convenient compare to other hotels on this beach
2. They provide free transfers to and out of the pier. I didn’t know they can pick up you from the pier (maybe you should inform them before arriving) but they no problem can transfer you anytime to pier after check out.
3. I changed hotel to check different services and asked to store my small back on 1-2 days, because after I got booking here again. And they got no questions and stored it for free 🙏🥰
4. They provide towels and beach seats free for quests. Personal all around and my staff were save with them plus they have toilet near by. So convenient. If you now staying at hotel for can pay for seats: small chairs 100 batt, big ones 200 batt. Plus additional towels (idk how much)
But we will planning to hang out at this location during our stay in different hotels on the beach because there are less people around 🙌
5. We are family of vegetarians and the host kindly agreed to chance our breakfast menu and I’m so thankful.
Thank you Tawaen Beach hotel for making my stay at this beach very very comfortable. I will definitely come back again 💞

The hotel might be a bit humid due to its proximity to the sea, so you'll definitely need to run the air conditioning to dry out the air. The music at night can be quite loud, so light sleepers should be aware. There are tons of food options right outside the hotel, but they're on the pricier side – well, it is a tourist area, after all. You'll have to go a little further out to find more affordable options, and there's a night market near the pier. The best part is how incredibly convenient it is to get to the beach; it's less than a minute's walk!

Avoid this hotel if you are traveling with your family. I got a room with dirty pillows and bedsheets and I had to ask to change them. Only pillowcase is clean, pillows are as dirty as possible. All my requests were rejected. The room is decorated in the cheapest way, just two towels, two bottles of water, a chair and the bed. No choice for breakfast, omelette and two sausages. They have provided nothing for my 10 months old baby, just offered a very thin and dirty mattress for 500 bat per night. With all of these disadvantages it's one of the most expensive hotels on the island

A simple, good old-fashioned hotel. The rooms aren't cheap, but the main draw here is the sea. No Russian TV channels. Breakfast is very basic: 2 eggs, 2 sausages, cabbage, tea, coffee, juice, and a rice soup. The blue sitting sun loungers are free, while the reclining ones cost 100 baht. The staff are very friendly.

It was my first time on Koh Larn Island and what a great stay it was! This hotel is right on the beach and was beautiful. The staff was friendly, the facilities were great, I had the greatest of times here. The resort has designated free beach umbrella's and chairs for residents. The fire shows on The beach were amazing! The breakfast was great too! I rate the resort a solid 4/5

What I liked most was that you didn't have to walk anywhere to get to the beach; you just step out and you're in the sea. The room was spacious, clean, and smelled pleasant. The girls at the reception and in the dining room were all smiles, like most Thais, and tried their best to answer all questions. The downside is that breakfast is monotonous; NOTHING changes, it's the same thing day in and day out. If you stay for a long time, you'll get incredibly bored.

This isn't my first time staying at this hotel. It's fine for a one-night stay! I'll mention upfront that one time they let me check in early, which was a pleasant surprise. The water pressure in the rooms is very low. The breakfast is sparse. The staff leaves at night, so there's no one at reception. But overall, it's okay for a night on the island. The hotel has its own sun loungers for 200 baht (there aren't many). There are also chairs with tables by the sea on the beach (the chairs are free).

We originally booked 3 nights at Tawaen Beach Resort and ended up extending for another 3 nights — and honestly, that says everything.
This is not our first stay. We were here six months ago, stayed in the same resort, and deliberately came back again. Consistency matters, and Tawaen Beach Resort delivers it every single time.
The staff are outstanding — professional, genuinely kind, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of from the moment you arrive.
The food and coffee pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring resorts where prices feel exaggerated and borderline absurd. Here, you actually feel you’re getting value without being taken advantage of.
Cleanliness deserves special mention. The hygiene standards are truly top-tier resort level — rooms, lobby, common areas — everything is spotless and well maintained. This is something many resorts on the island fail at, even if they look nice on the outside.
Location? Simply unbeatable.
You step out of the resort and within seconds, you’re standing in front of a magical turquoise-blue sea and perfectly clean, soft white sand — genuinely one of the best beach fronts in Koh Larn.
They have beach lounges and chairs where you can relax all day, and the beach staff constantly adjust the umbrellas as the sun moves — a small detail that makes a huge difference. Service is attentive without being intrusive.
What truly impressed us:
Over the past few weeks, we met multiple couples (not one, not two — FOUR) who stayed at nearby resorts and had nightmare experiences — poor hygiene, bad rooms, disappointing service. After visiting our room, lobby, and seeing the standards at Tawaen Beach Resort, they immediately canceled their bookings and rebooked here.
That alone speaks volumes.
We live just outside Pattaya and come to Koh Larn almost every month. One thing is absolutely certain:
We will never stay anywhere else. Ever.
The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the nonsense prices next door that don’t deliver even half the quality.
Try this place once — and you’re hooked for life.
We proudly consider ourselves lifetime clients.
Couldn’t ask for better.
Period.
