Hotels near Mount Shiroyama, Kagoshima

The hotel itself felt to be a little too rich and classy than what I’m normally used to (not a bad thing). I didn’t give the full 5 for location mainly since the hotel sits on top of a hill within the city, walking is kinda out of question unless your up for winding incline up and down the hill. There are included transportations though which is nice and the trade off being the gorgeous views of the city and volcano (sakurajima) that sits across the water. There are also included restaurants, stores, bath, lounges, and even a convenience store built into the hotel too which was nice.

It is a business hotel located in the downtown Astronomical Museum of South Kyushu, but I was able to sleep as rare as I could, saying that I only called myself ”Rem” and slept until I was woken up by an alarm clock. The streetcars and buses were running on the road just in front of me, but I didn't care about the noise at all. １ I had breakfast for the night, so I had it at the Tully's in the building, but it was quite well organized and fulfilling. I was able to choose from hot dog pancake toast.

Used on April 10, 2023. The place is in front of the tram stop (tram) Astronomical Museum, which is also a downtown area of Kagoshima, and it can be said that it is a landmark because it is before the bus stops. Certainly there was a shopping mall on the 1st floor, and it felt like a recent hotel, and the inside of the building was beautiful with the impression that it was renovated or newly built. The structure is the front desk on the 7th floor and the guest rooms on the 8th to 14th floors. The 15th floor is a restaurant and breakfast is here, and on a sunny day, you can see Sakurajima, and I think there is no complaint about the local dishes like Kagoshima. However, the deduction point was the following points ● There is no parking lot at the hotel. Since the parking lot is a little far away, I think that if you have luggage, you really need a parking lot. It can't be helped in the structure anymore, but I got the impression that it would be a little painful to carry heavy luggage when I came by car. ● If the affiliated parking lot is a little far away, it's fine when checking out (if it's not rainy), there's no problem, but I got the impression that it would be a little hard if it was raining. ● The content of the restaurant in the morning is fine, but I think there are many guests who come for the specialty ”chicken rice”. However, the impression that the frequency of the ingredient replenishment is slow because there is only soup stock and rice left insufficient replenishment. I understand the feeling of cherishing ingredients, but I have a little doubt ● Acoustic problem in the corridor It happened that it was around 23:00 pm. When I went to smoke on the front floor, I was walking down the corridor from another room, but I heard the sound inside, but I closed my mouth a little. I don't know if there is a location pattern, but it's the sound of so-called adult play, but I felt that I wanted you to do a little more soundproofing. I wrote color 々, but the basic room and restaurant are beautiful and I think it is a hotel of a good level in Kagoshima. Sure, Shiroyama and Sun Royal are famous in Kagoshima, but considering the convenience and price, I hope it will be a good hotel in the future.

This is a new hotel with bunk beds which can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. The beds were spacious and a good size. We stayed in the executive bunk family room which can accommodate 6 persons. It may be a bit tight for 6 persons but just right for our family of 4. There is full size washing machine cum dryer in the room which is very useful for washing our clothes. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast with a good spread but as there is no dining area, you need to pack your breakfast into bento boxes and eat them in your room. But we saw a sign which says breakfast will be separately charged from Jan 2024 onwards. Now, breakfast is complimentary and included in the room rate. The hotel also does not have car park but there is more then sufficient coin parking right next door which cost 600 yen from 2000 to 800. The location is quite central and a short 5-10 min drive to Tenmonkan. There is also a good ramen restaurant across the road from the hotel, Rai Rai Tei which is worth trying. Just a tip, we got a much better room rate on Rakuten than the usual Agoda, *********** sites.

Hotel can be accessed directly from the JR underpass, towards basement of hotel building. Tram station conveniently located in front of hotel. Hotel faces JR Station. Room is cozy with plenty of wall sockets. Good value for money. Room had lovely view of Mt Sakurajima.

Superb hotel with direct access from JR station, and 1min walk to the tram stop and sightseeing bus stop. Staff was polite and patiently assisted and provided map on information we needed. Lovely bath salts for our use. Self service luggage deposit allowed us to continue exploring the city after checkup. Recommended stay at Kagoshima.

The guest room floor is from the 6th floor to the 18th floor, and the room is located on the top floor with the club lounge ❤️ The guest room is located on the top floor, and Sakurajima can be seen in front of you from the large window of the room 🌈 Wow !!! ♡ I can feel Sakurajima so close. The scenery was so beautiful that I left the roll screen half open and went to bed. I was impressed by the sunrise that I happened to see around 5:30 in the morning ☆ From the moment I entered the lobby on the 1st floor, I was impressed with the luxury atmosphere ♡ I was able to spend a relaxing time watching the night view of Kagoshima in my room 🎀 In the room There is a bathrobe and a nice time ❤️ On the 5th floor, there is a private hot spring ♨️ ”Warming hot water” that can only be used by guests and guests of the spa [Lymph Goddess]. The staff members were very hospitable. Check in was fast and Jeffrey gave us detailed explanation of the facilities of the hotel. He also greeted us every time he met us in the lobby. While the renovation in the room is old fashioned, it is kept clean. We were very lucky that we had good view of Sakurajima during our two days stay. Breakfast in the lobby cafe and dinner in the Japanese restaurant were good.

We loved the view from the room, Sakura Island was just in front of us and we could actually see smoke coming out of its crater which was pretty awesome. The pools were also nice and the traditional restaurant near the lobby had some great Japanese food. The service was excellent, too. The only downside was that the bus stop is a bit far and walking to it in the middle of summer isn’t pleasant. But a taxi to the main train station costs around ¥1,800 which isn’t bad.
