Staff was very welcoming upon check in, the room was clean and I had a comfortable stay at the place.

Got upgraded to corner room with really nice view. Concierge staff Regina is so helpful to arrange late check-out so that I could take my time to prepare for same day flight. Room is equipped with air purifier. Bed firmness & pillows are just right. Highly recommended if you mainly stay in HK Island.

Bed sheet was dirty Customer service was alright. Asked for extra towel requires charges

The lounge area has shrunk and there are no more free drinks. However, still good and clean overall.

Booked the trip for my friend birthday - location was abit ulu but taking bus back to hotel at night was super convenient. Also, amenities in the hotel is fantastic. Thankful for the washing machine room where we can wash out laundry as it’s a long trip.

the rooms are really very small.. and super dusty. second time back here and the rooms are still as dusty…….. room only got 2 power plugs……. have to get extension from them else definitely not enough.

excellent hotel located in quite southern side of hong kong island. despite the location, very accessible through nearest mtr station Wong Chuk Hang. revisiting ovolo hotel several time, great reception service, excellent bed and bathroom, good self-serve coffee. small dislike is that the air conditioner hit right on the bed, particularly the pillow, got to switch off the air con while sleeping - not a problem for my visit during winter time.

Bed was dusty. Ventilation air flow direction unadjustable , kept blowing towards my head during sleep, very uncomfortable. Hong Kong does not allow hotels to provide plastic water bottles now, there was no drinking water machine on each floor, not even one in the gym The hotel has self-service laundry, which is a plus. Overall, a disappointing stay given it is a Marriott-chained hotel.

Ovolo Southside is a 5mins walk from the MTR station Wong Chuk Hang which is 3 stops away from the Central Station (中环), 2 stops away from Admiralty Station and 1 stop away from Ocean Park Station. The hotel emits a younger vibrant vibe and comes with free snack treats and mini bar upon check-in. For replenishment of complimentary soft drinks and capsules coffee, guests can go to Level L Lobby Lounge to get them. The room is clean and comfortable, the bath amenities smelled awesome as well!

The first night, we were unable to sleep well because the air con was far too noisy but many thanks to the hotel , we were given another room which was bigger and spacious. That was truly a surprise and a treat ! To me, it was like a birthday present from the hotel (21 Dec). For the rest of the stay, our sleep was restful and pleasant . The rooms are clean (we have booked 2 rooms, the other room was occupied by my sons) and the toiletries are complete and smell nice. Towels are thick and clean. A surprise came to one of my sons . His birthday is 19 Dec and the hotel has given him a cake which was personally baked by the hotel chef (which I learnt from the staff; I had initially thought was bought from the bakery outside ). The cake was so tasty and delicious . Thanks to the chef ! Thanks to the hotel ! On the day of check-in, the receptionist had wished him happy birthday, but never in our mind he would be given a cake . A special thanks to Xavier who was cheerful and helpful towards us in assisting us with calling the cab on two separate occasions, giving directions for the drivers to come to the hotel. We are not conversant with Cantonese and he is definitely a great help. Also after drinking the coffee, he happily offered to throw away our empty cups. I felt that it was not his job (as anyone should throw his own trash), but he insisted and did it willingly and cheerfully . He made our stay really pleasant . Thanks, Xavier! More to add, the gym and pool table are plus points, suit the needs of my husband and sons . On a separate note, the blind on the leftmost glass window (next to bed) does not roll down properly . I had to manually roll it down , sorry for unhooking some of the hooks of the day curtain. Blessed Christmas to the management and staff of the Ovolo southside! :)

nice rooms half decent service and the room rate was good so no issues.

Room is clean in general and is well maintained, but the drain of our shower was clogged and drained very slowly. The concierge generously let us check-out an hour later. Staff members are helpful and friendly.

Good location within walking distance from MTR station, conveniently able to reach city center. Room is clean. Staff is polite and nice. Facilities wise, quite basic but with free laundry and gym.
