Riverina Hotel

Holbrook|0.57km from downtown
Our room was probably average value for money, but the description of the room was quite misleading. We booked through Webjet where the room facilities description included ”Rooms have private furnished patios” and ”Bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature deep soaking bathtubs and rainfall showerheads”. I believe that these descriptions are provided by the hotel. There was a patio right outside our room, but it was not private and was available for all guests to use (we needed to keep the window blinds down if we didn't want others to look straight in). The balcony was well furnished with a few tables and chairs, so was useful for us to have breakfast (used the toaster in the public area), so my complaint is more with the description than the actual facilities. I was interested to see what the bathroom facilities were. The listing did not specify either shared or en-suite bathrooms, but was worded in such a way as to imply that there was an en-suite (”Deep soaking bathtub” and ”Rainfall showerhead” were listed as Room Facilities”). I was not overly surprised to find that there were shared bathrooms (this is a country pub after all). There were 4 bathrooms, but 1 was closed for renovations. Of the remaining 3 bathrooms only 1 had a bath. The other 2 had showers only (with no sign of a ”rainfall showerhead”). The room with the bath was at the furthest possible point from our room, so listing that as a room facility does seem a bit of a stretch to me. On the positive side, the wi-fi internet worked well (better than at some more expensive places we stayed) and the tv reception was good. There was also a small fridge in our room which worked well (even though it was NOT listed in the room facilities). The common area had fridge, toaster and microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Overall, I would probably not choose to stay here again, but I would not totally rule it out either (we had already booked for the return journey and kept that booking even though we could have cancelled without penalty). Mainly disappointed at the inaccurate descriptions provided on Webjet.
