3 Star Hotels in Como

Stayed here for 2 nights, for the price the room is great, comfortable bed, spacious and clean. Bathroom is fine, the shower is quite small so bear this in mind. Breakfast was great, lots of sweet options like pastries, tarts etc. Location was 5 minutes or less from the train station so very convenient and 5-10 mins from the ticket place to get the ferry to Bellagio. Overall the hotel was perfect for what wanted and great value for the price.

The room was really small. I didn't know where it was, I just looked at the map and it was near the train station, but it was really small. I stayed there for one night and then moved out. I didn't have any extra requirements, it's just 200 yuan in China.

My second stay here having stayed in 2018 but wow how Como has changed! It is indeed very touristy now. I asked for the same room as I had last time but after a second night or poor nights sleep from the loud music on the square and the rubbish bottle bins being collected during the night it became unbearable. I was moved to the loft room which was far better however, there was a strong “drain smell” in the rooms, I wished I had brought my pillow spray! The receptionist desk was often unmanned and at times I felt I was treated more like a nuisance than a guest. Given the reception is not manned during the night you just have a spy hole on the doors of the bedrooms for the comfort of travellers, especially solo ones. The staff were usually quite kind and it was great to see a few familiar faces from my last visit. This hotel was amazing last time however standards seemed to have dropped. The luggage storage area didn’t seem particularly safe just a cupboard off the kitchen where I could go and collect my bag without anyone challenging me on where I was going and what I was doing. The area outside was costly for breakfast which I enjoyed and to have drinks in the evening.

The location of the hotel is quite superior, the waiter's attitude is first-rate, and the problems can be solved. If you come again next time, you will choose him again. Carrefour, which is open 24 hours a day, is very convenient.

The best possible location, right on the square, two minutes from the lakes edge. Clean, plenty of white cotton sheets and towels, spacious shower with nice smellies provided etc. Moustach (apologies for spelling!) on reception was lovely, quick check in (early too!) and must also recommend the €15 per person breakfast. I am coeliac and they were very good catering for Gluten Free. My only pointer would be that Italy often follows a rule that aircon can’t be below 22. So it did feel that our aircon wasn’t quite adequate. Reception did provide a fan which helped and we slept well mid August. I went with a friend as part of a wider trip but do intend to return to Como with my husband, I will be rebooking at the Alberto Firenze. You couldn’t ask for more!

The staff are friendly and the location is relatively ideal except for the church which the hotel backs onto. The breakfast was good and the room was a pretty good size, but the AC was rattly and the beds were uncomfortable with flat pillows. There were no additional pillows in the room, instead we had to ask at the desk. We didn't get fresh towels until we asked for additional ones either and the walls were pretty thin. The elevator was also very small And then there was the bathroom. Very little thought had gone into the bathroom. The configuration was all wrong and seemed to have been designed in a hurry with accessibility (fortunately not a priority for us) an afterthought. There were two showers, one in the back where there was not even a light, a tiny shower head, half unusable shower rack and the bidet right in front of the shower door. The ”accessible” shower with seat was right in front of the door with no screen, nothing to protect the door or the rest of the bathroom. The positioning of this shower and the rails didn't seem to be cohesive for actual accessible use that would allow a disabled person dignity and independence. The toilet and the sink were both huge which again didn't make it seem very disability friendly. There were also two toilet roll holders for some reason. As me and my friend could also only just fit into the elevator, I have my doubts about a wheelchair being able to fit in there Como was beautiful, I hope to go again, but not at this hotel!

Brilliant hotel! All staff very friendly and helpful cannot do enough for you! Rooms basic but spotless (no kettle but they will make you a tea or coffee just go to reception and ask) location next to a bus stop, supermarket you can see from hotel and its 24/7 and very reasonable! Town is 10 minutes down the road as is the lake! Literally cannot praise this hotel enough! Breakfast is continental.

This hotel is well located (although initially difficult to find), being only a short walk away from the centre of Como. The rooms are small but perfectly fine if you’re doing a little break at the lake. Breakfast is simple but does the job. The room that we stayed in was right on the main road, had an air conditioning control which didn’t work meaning we were left with either leaving the windows open to stay cool, but hear all of the traffic in the main road next to the room, or shut them, be hot and have it more quiet. Staff are helpful and will look after bags etc on your final day. Only actual main complaint came right at the end of our stay where one of the staff members got overly annoyed that we didn’t have cash to pay for 2 bottles of water, despite paying everything else on card. He raised his voice at us, we were happy to pay or figure it out but he was almost too angry to work it out. I would recommend staying here, just make sure you’ve got cash for water!

Nous avons apprécié : - La taille de l'appartement #4. - Sa propreté et la qualité de sa rénovation. - La localisation de la Résidence. La présence de deux TV et d'un climatiseur. Nous avons déploré : - L'accès à l'intérieur de l'immeuble, très mal sécurisé. Il nous est arrivé de pouvoir entrer en plein jour sans badge ou sans clé. - L'isolation phonique médiocre, tant par rapport à la rue qu'entre les appartements voisins ou supérieurs. Des résidents ou touristes mal élevés nous ont réveillés plus d'une fois en pleine nuit en parlant bruyamment. C'est inadmissible. - La salle de douche spacieuse mais dont l'agencement laisse à désirer. Peu de place pour ranger ses affaires de toilette. Aucun verre à dent. Nous avons dû utiliser les tasses prévues pour les boissons chaudes. L'éclairage y est de piètre qualité, mal orienté. - La VMC est efficace mais excessivement bruyante. Elle ne fonctionne pas en mode discret en continu, simplement avec l'éclairage de la salle d'eau. - L'absence de consignes de départ. Nous avons donc laissé les clés sur la table de l'appartement. - Il est annoncé à tort que le B&B dispose d'un parking. La solution la plus proche convient cependant, à 25 € la journée.

Booked the Rumi rooms because the location seemed perfect for our short stay at lake como, the room was lovely, staff friendly, there was a little coffee station just outside the room, there wasn’t any milk so we asked and they was happy to give us a Small jug to have for our cup of tea! There was croissants and toasted bread for the morning if you wanted. The rooms are just a few minutes walk to a lovely square where you can sit and have a drink, and a short walk to the ferry boat which we went on to visit bellagio! como is the most beautiful place and we can’t wait to visit and would definitely stay here again.
