Wonderful onsen hotel. Superb lake view and onsen. Can watch the sunrise in the onsen in the morning. There are also Sakura trees around. Our timing was a bit too early for it to fully bloom so it’s a pity. Hotel employees are very friendly and helpful, with good English. Dinner is very nice. Breakfast is not bad. Note that there is no private shower/bath in the room. But there’s the onsen and bookable private onsen. There is a natural onsen but due to the season the water level was low. Most other guests are Japanese so the overall feeling is a very nice hidden gem. No noisy or touristy feeling. It’s 10 drive away from the tourist centre so it’s a tranquil place. My 60 year old parents are also very satisfied with their first onsen hotel experience. Highly recommend. Will definitely visit again.

There is no restaurant nearby, so it is recommended to go and eat before checking in (buy some food supplies). The hotel provides microwave equipment, and the small shop next to the counter on the first floor sells meager items such as fried rice and pizza. The paid family soup house is great.

I have been here several times. Every time I travel to Japan, I have to make a special trip. The scenery is beautiful. The hotel is not luxurious, but it has charm.

The experience of the century-old private hot spring hotel is great! Overall evaluation: It is definitely a cost-effective hotel worth visiting in Zhifan Lake. Transportation: The hotel has two shuttle buses to and from Zhifan Lake Bus Station every day, so be sure to make an appoin**ent in advance! There is no other means of transportation nearby to get to the hotel❗️ The sanitary environment is still the same as Japan's usual standards, as clean and tidy as always. Although the building has a long history, it is very warm and does not feel shabby at all. Facilities: You must check in at the natural private hot spring! Walking through the century-old corridor is completely like Spirited Away (it will be a bit cold when walking over because it is semi-open-air, so be sure to keep warm)

It is indeed the style of a century-old store. If you come to Hokkaido to soak in hot springs, I highly recommend this place. Of course, it will be smoother if you can charter a bus back and forth or make a good guide. We just follow the crowd and have better luck, so we caught up with the last one after we got down. The shuttle bus didn’t say to book it in advance. Of course, you really have to book dinner here in advance. We didn't get it because we booked too late. I had breakfast the next day, which was a combination of Japanese and Western cuisine. It was delicious. When you check in here, you will be asked about your flight the next day and the time for the shuttle bus to be reserved for you. There will be two time periods. Because we happened to book the last random room type, we were happy to find that it was Japanese style when we arrived. Although it didn't have a mountain view, it didn't affect our pleasant mood at all. My friend went to the outdoor hot spring and was very happy. I also felt the indoor one. It was very comfortable and clean, and I had a very comfortable sleep. The equipment here is actually very complete, and there are massage chairs and automatic drink vending machines. However, there are really no convenience stores nearby, and the hotel only sells some self-operated desserts and specialties, so if you don't have a dinner reservation, you should prepare more food. The overall experience is very good. Even if you change cars at the airport and travel all the way here, it is still worth it.

Bus schedules from New Chitose Airport to Lake Shikotsu are: Accessibility is poor as it runs only 4 times on weekdays. You can use the open-air bath while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

The hotel is great. It is in a snow-capped mountain. The surrounding natural environment is very good. You can see wild deer. The hot spring is right next to Lake Shikotsu. The scenery is amazing. I originally wanted to reserve the hotel's shuttle bus myself, but the hotel phone number couldn't be reached. I asked Ctrip's customer service to contact me. The response was very fast and I successfully made the reservation.
