Beautiful structure surrounded by nature, very kind staff, good food, beautiful views. There is every type of service.

Las Islas is a beautiful property located about an hour and a half outside the main city of Cartagena. It gives a bit of a glamping vibe which is nice. Our bungalow was situated quite a walk from the reception and dining options, so we relied on requesting a golf cart to get around. The stay at the resort was going well until about the 3-day when we opted to leave the resort and spend the day in Cartagena. When we returned to the resort, turndown service had taken place and we decided to stay in for most of the 4-day and order room service. While preparing for dinner, we noticed a gold necklace was missing from a small jewelry bag, that was not left out in sight, but placed in a slightly larger bag with hair supplies. After thoroughly searching the bathroom, luggage, safe and room it was clear that it was missing and someone may have gone through our stuff. After calling the front desk and reporting the item missing I was assured they would reach out. We went to dinner and on the way back, stopped by the reception and asked for an update. At that point, I was asked to write down my phone number and told that someone from guest services would reach out they were waiting on housekeeping to update them. The following morning was check out, no update had been provided or contact made. During checkout, I once again asked about the missing piece, and the receptionist took a picture of the matching bracelet and once again requested my info. A week later and no one has contacted us.

Nice resort; a little tired in spots but nice staff, quirky, but charming rooms. Stayed in a tree house and then a sea view room; which I ended up preferring. Climbing the steps to the treehouse got old quickly. Spa is nice and I had great massage. Water in Ocean was a little murky, restaurants were hit or miss. Breakfast was good.

Our room was extremely moldy smelling. Everywhere had smelly air fresheners, they also sprayed for bugs. There is not much to do. The food was ok, the people are very friendly.

My partner and I had very high expectations for this 5-star hotel, but unfortunately, our stay did not live up to our expectations. It is an incredibly beautiful place with lovely surroundings and beautiful treetop bungalows, but it is very overpriced, and the service is not good. While some of the staff members were super friendly and helpful, we had far too many negative experiences. The hotel is large, and the communication between different services and staff members was lacking. For instance, our orders and requests were often forgotten, and we were given wrong information about meeting point for an activity. With several such incidents, we often felt overlooked and poorly cared for. We didn't feel good when we had to repeatedly ask for basic services. The final bill also included unexpected charges. Sadly, this stay was not worth the money we paid for it.

Amazing eco-friendly luxury experience in Barú at Las Isla. The service was 5 stars, anything you need they bring you fast. We stayed in a treetop room, which was so private and quiet. They have their own private island, a boat that takes you there in 5mins at anytime. Happily no issue with bugs or mosquitoes in December when we visited. Weather was perfect and waters warm and refreshing. Food is good, but very high priced for Colombia. This destination is romantic and great for couples, as well for families that just want to relax. I highly recommend having the hotel arrange a boat to take you to the hotel from Cartagena, it is a fun 45 min ride. You will get a little wet, but they store luggage away so don’t worry it’s protected. You also take a taxi but takes longer about 1-1/2 hours.
