We are just home from Berlin & this beautiful hotel. We had an amazing stay. The hotel location is wonderful in a leafy quiet street with a small shopping mall underneath & just a 15 minute walk from the main attractions in West Berlin. The nearest subway is a 2 minute walk away too. We had a room on the 5th floor with a balcony, the room was extremely spacious with a brilliant shower. Breakfast was fantastic & all the staff were so helpful & made our stay in Berlin so special, thank you, we will be back ❤️

This is a gorgeous spanking brand-new hotel in Berlin. Reception is exceptionally courteous, friendly and accommodating - I couldn't have asked for a better team of associates. The bar staff, breakfast room staff, concierge, and even the maintenance staff are as wonderful. I had a lovely large room with the most comfortable bed & pillows - all in modern, tasteful decor. The room also had amenities such as a mini-fridge, coffee service, waters, robe, and iron and work desk area with accessible power points on top (no bending under the desk here!) Upon arrival & departure I was greeted warmly . This sets the tone for a positive experience and I certainly felt the genuine welcome with pleasant smiles and friendly nature. The hotel is quite accessible to 2 U-Bahn stations, and within walking distance of the Berlin Zoo. Getting around Berlin is fairly easy with a well-integrated underground system of U-Bahn & S-Bahn trains. The hotel is on a quiet road across the Los Angeles Platz small park/square. Everything Berlin has to offer is easily accessible, plus plenty of shopping, dining and outdoor activities within a small perimeter. Vielen Dank für Ihre freundliche Gastfreundschaft!

We arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .

Excellent luxury hotel with an excellent location. The concierge was very helpful and the entire staff was extremely accommodating and provided first class service. My room, although it was luxurious and the bed super comfortable, did look a bit old, and small for what I expected. The breakfast was great, very varied and with top quality traditional German ingredients and dishes. I especially remember the chefs who explained the ingredients to me and Andreas at the restaurant reception with a great attitude every time he saw us. I highly recommend this hotel , excellent option to visit Berlin

The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great, my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable! We stayed at HI Berlin City West for 3 nights. Hotel is two blocks from Savignyplatz station with lots of shopping and dining options in the Ku’damm district. Kadewe is a few stops by bus. It’s also two bus stops from the Zoo station which is a major bus and train terminal. S9 takes you directly to BER if you need to catch a flight. The hotel is reasonably priced, updated modern and very clean. Typical European breakfast buffet included has lots of options like cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, yogurts, etc. Housekeeping was done every day. The most important asset is the staff. Max L. was extremely helpful and enthusiastically helped us with all our requests. The only concern I have is we were assigned to a room on one side of the hotel which faces the train track. The train schedule is limited at night but we are light sleepers. Mary K. diligently and promptly resolved our concern about the noise and moved us to a higher floor.

I have stayed in the beautiful Novotel Berlin am Tiergarten for a business Meeting and extended my stay for visiting Berlin. The Hotel is the perfect combination of a business and leisure Hotel. The breakfast (especially for vegeterians/ vegans!!) offers a huge selection and the Riesling at the Bar is delicious. The staff I had contact with in various departments is just outrageously friendly and I really felt at home. The location of the Hotel is just perfect if you want to have a quick run in the morning with the huge Tiergarten Park right in front and with the train Station also in front you can travel anywhere super quick and convenient. The Spa Area was bigger than I have imagined, including a Gym, a Sauna, Steam Bath and a really huge outdoor sun terrace. I will definitely visit this Hotel again when I travel to Berlin. For me personally- my best Hotel stay ever.

The only clothes rail was too high for me at 5’7” to comfortably reach, and positioned over one of the useable surfaces meant clothes were pulled down in an awkward way. This resulted in a wine glass being broken. I reported immediately. It seems I was charged €5! No notification just taken from my account. How churlish! Open bathroom lacking privacy, with the only hooks in the toilet! No rails for wet towels!? NO tea or coffee facilities whatsoever except for breakfast. Never experienced that before anywhere in the world in all styles of hotel!! I reported what appeared a security breach with a person appearing under the influence of substances knocking on random doors one evening, ours twice in succession. Not only no report back despite asking, not even passed on to successive shift reception staff, who knew nothing about my earlier report! Overall staff were pleasant but reserved and not exceptionally friendly. Often either away from the desk, sometimes waiting 5-10 minutes after ringing bell, or eating at the desk, very unprofessional. Breakfast staff no smiles or friendliness, no welcome. Overall a disappointing stay, which I would not repeat or recommend unfortunately.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel. Slept well each night, no noise from inside or outside the hotel. We were at the back of the hotel. Room basic but clean. Tea and coffee provided and a free safe. Bathroom was good, plenty of hot water and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was of a good quality with the usual selection of continental and hot options. All staff friendly. Also there is a luggage room, should you need to store any items after checkout

TLDR; the hotel is hotter than hell. You booked air conditioning, right? Well, actually … wrong. They turned it to hot air mode, won’t tell you that, and you’ll be unable to sleep as temperatures resemble the Sahara. There is also the fire station next door which they won’t advise you on either. Sirens ALL night long. Don’t think you can open the window to cool down - you can’t. The noise will give you tinnitus! The management or lack thereof are a disgrace. Stay here at your peril. Fuller review: I booked two rooms for six nights at almost 2000 euros. Our party were unable to sleep due to the extreme heat and had to leave early on day two, but not before giving the hotel four opportunities to put things right. We are reasonable people. The hotel, not so much. We booked Sana Berlin as the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning. This was false advertising as management had decided a few days earlier to switch off the a/c with no notice to guests, and were unwilling to switch it on, despite me asking on three occasions to reverse or rectify the issue. Not having this facility made the room incredibly warm, and sleeping at night impossible. Did I mention you can’t open the windows? The hotel refuses to concede this as an issue, despite their own member of staff visiting our room, agreeing it to not be acceptable and visibly sweating and uncomfortable due to the heat. This was the same member of staff who advised he lives in the hotel and can’t open windows either owing to the fire station next door and extreme noise of the sirens… so, not just us then. Notwithstanding this, the hotel still doesn’t take responsibility or rectify this, and has charged me handsomely for two nights accommodation (663 euros). Disgusted yet? You should be. However as with any horror story, it gets worse… I may have mentioned that we did not sleep for two nights, how could we? The extreme heat combined with the loud emergency vehicles… it felt we were in a warzone, not on a holiday. Ah, the windows. Firstly, you can’t open them to cool unable the room down due to the noise. Even if you did, you’ll get no privacy as you can’t shut the badly positioned electric blinds and have the window open at the same time… so yes, if you do you’ll be in full view of the street. Nice if you’re an exhibitionist. I’m sure you’re beginning to get the idea now. So, what did we as guests do about it? Well reader, we tried! Lord knows we tried; Both my husband and I tried to address matters with the hotel to provide fair opportunity to resolve the matter. After the first night I emailed at 8am the following day, to outline the issues. The hotel did reply at 10am advising this (the a/c) would get looked at by the ‘technical team’ however after this did not provide any further updates and proceeded to ignore us. Cool… or not as it happens! I sent a further email at 15:20 the same day seeking an update before we returned to the room. This was of course ignored, sigh. On

I had a nice stay in this hotel. Clean bathroom with everything I needed. Room was big enough, as I was alone. Wifi was working alright for me. Used it on my laptop and phone and had no issues. There were 2 downsides: for me, personally, the bed was way too hard. The first night it felt like I was laying on bricks. During my stay it got better, as I got used to it. The other thing was the airconditioning. As it was a hot period (30+ degrees), I chose this hotel as it had airconditioning. Well, it barely worked. The room thankfully didn't get superhot, because I was able to fully cover the window (so no sun could get in). A positive for me was the breakfast. I usually went around 9 am, and there was plenty of space for me to sit. Also the buffet was being restocked all the time and it got everything I wanted.
