Estrel Berlin

I had a great time at Estrel hotel. The location is not far from the S barn, but the surrounding environment is a bit scare. The hotel facilities are good with fitness/gym. There are a small area outdoor in-front of the hotel near the river which is relaxing area. There is Edeka with the walkable distance.

This place was honestly a solid find. The room was super comfortable and it was clean. The lobby has this really nice, open feel with great interior design, so just hanging out there for a few minutes was a vibe. And the views outside the hotel are lovely, especially around sunset. There's a train station across the river, and a supermarket just a 10-minute walk away. Super convenient for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything you forgot to pack. Overall, it's a chill, no-drama stay. Comfy, clean, nice views, and practical. Would definitely come back.

While the location of this hotel was great, it was unfortunate during our stay that our nearest underground station was during maintenance and we could only take the replacement rail service, which was a lot slower. Otherwise the service was great and many amenities were given upon request. Overall very satisfactory stay.

Overall, our experience did not meet the standards we would expect from a four-star hotel. Several basic amenities were missing from the room, including complimentary slippers, bathrobes, a kettle for coffee and tea, hair conditioner, and body lotion. Having to pay extra for slippers and bathrobes felt particularly unreasonable. A small welcome gesture, such as a complimentary bottle of water, would also have enhanced the guest experience. In addition, the air conditioning did not function adequately. The room remained uncomfortably warm throughout our stay, making it difficult to sleep. While some staff members were helpful, others came across as unwelcoming and not particularly friendly. That said, there were some positive aspects. We appreciated the presence of the sauna, the Italian restaurant served excellent food, and the late checkout time of 12:00 was a nice convenience. Given the hotel’s four-star rating, we expected a higher level of comfort, service, and attention to detail.

Need more coffee machines and staff for the busy breakfast periods. Tables were not cleared and there were long queues for coffee. Otherwise great - spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff

Easy booking and great value. Room was a little on the cool side and the window didn’t seem to close fully, so the aircon wasn’t really working as it should. Overall, would book again. Thank you
