Great location. Close to all the restaurants and bars, not too loud. There's a construction site next door but I didn't hear anything over the weekend. Room is small but clean and equipped with a small tv and large desk. Good spot if you just want to come for a weekend and go out for dinner and drinks with friends. Only downside is that there's no gym of any sort and lugging luggage up wellington street from the mtr is a bit of a pain. The better option would probably to take the escalators from central.

It was wrongly advertised on trip.com that there was an outdoor pool, gym and sauna for guests to relax in. An on-site restaurant and coffee shop were all referenced but not there. Hopefully the information has been updated by trip.com I booked 5 nights expecting all of these facilities to be there for me to use and none of them were there. It spoilt my holiday. The hotel told me that they didn’t have these facilities when I asked them about it on my first day. They said trip.com had made an error. They didn’t offer any solutions to help me though, e.g. giving me a slight discount would have been a nice good will gesture. Despite the negatives, the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and in a very convenient area. There wouldn’t have been a single issue if it was correctly advertised. I’d recommend for guests to stay there if the information about their facilities is correctly advertised.

I've been staying at the Mini Hotel in Central for the past 10 years (2 years in a row for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon). It is the best most economical option on the Hong Kong Island. There's so many things to do in Hong Kong that I'm usually out exploring and only need the room to shower and sleep. Staff has always been friendly and I've never had issues with their service. Very easy to reach from Airport. Take the Airport Express to the Hong Kong Station, walk from there to the connecting Central Station, then walk thru the station to Exit D, make a right and go straight until you see the really long stairs on the left side, take the stairs and viola, you're at the Mini Hotel, Feel free to see the YouTube video I made about this (@williams808 on YT)I will say, they have removed all the bath towels and replaced it with an eco friendly, bath towel packaged set that is quite thin and might take some time to get used to. Either way I will continue to stay here, looking forward to seeing you guys again!

I have booked a harbour view room. The reason was to take excellent sea and high level view at still affordable middle range prices, while also be at walk distances to some businesses places at a hurry beforehand to get used for excellent public transport system. I was strictly disappointed when I had firstly been directed to a room at 21f with small little corner window and overall not as advertised by picture from room size and its geometry. I even hardly understand where the sea/harbour is, since you see nothing that buildings. It might be ok for other purposes but not to take real inspiration and feelings. After my conversation with a service, they kindly change the room with ‘upgrades’ from 21 to 29 f but saying that I would rather contact them beforehand of needs of last floor / highest floor. That was the same room as displayed, so I feel happy. It matches the point. If you would like to take a look at night bars at LKF as well, it is also very good still calm area, but in 10 min walks to the party centres. So please be in contact with hotel beforehand making a un refundable pay, if the harbour view and a higher floor is a must feature.

I had a pleasant time at the Shama Central. It was a really lovely hotel/ service apartment. The room was quite spacious, with a big dining room and living room too. Everything looked fairly nice. And the hotel was located at a convenient area, with many good restaurants nearby! The whole apartment was kinda dreamy, view was ok. However, the one problem was the front desk staff. When we were checking out, the female frontdesk staff member was really rude. Her attitude was very poor and I felt rather surprised by her attitude. It was such a shame because the rest of the stay was satisfactory, but it ended on such a negative note because of her!

I booked the hotel on the day I went to Hong Kong to watch Baselworld. I booked the hotel after one o’clock in the evening to attend a friend’s birthday party. I booked this room for myself. There was an aunt at the front desk. She was very kind when I checked in. The hotel felt that the bed was clean and the toilet facilities were limited The toilet seat is broken, but they are barely usable. There is plenty of hot water. The location is easy to find from the subway station. The front desk will charge 200 deposit the night before and will refund the next day, although the price of 500 is more expensive than usual hotels Yes, but there is no way to make a reservation on the same day. Other hotels have also increased to about 1,000 that day. Although the facilities are relatively old, it is safe and comfortable to live in. Hong Kong is a relatively large room, which is not bad~ It is recommended that you book early if you have a room Service: The service is very good. Almost floor to ceiling full length window offers a panoramic view of luxurious condos on the mountain slopes and the famous HK turf club and all its sports facilities. Bathroom: Big and spacious too with separate bath tub and rain shower cubicle. Excellent shower pressure. The basin has a mixer but with two separate tap controls. The WC is of standard design. Housekeeping: Very polite staff who keep the place really clean. Reception: Very polite and very fast. I emailed them before my arrival and received a reply instantly. I emailed them at 1am during my stay and received a reply instantly. Incredible service. Concierge: Impressive young staff. They anticipated my needs and acted on it before I even utter a word. It is located in a building right next to Jordan station. It is a place that can be reached not only by subway but also by N bus even late at night. Even I, a first-time Hong Konger with no sense of direction, was able to go there. Since we had informed them in advance, they kindly accommodated us even though we had to check in in the middle of the night. The staff at the store were very kind and kept my luggage with me even after I checked out, lent me the bathroom, and carefully told me about recommended sightseeing spots and restaurants. I was a little confused about the hotel entrance and how to get to my room because I hadn't checked the email I received in advance, but Trip.com's operator helped me with all my confusion and troubles even though it was late at night. Thank you very much for your kind response, which was really helpful. The room has everything you need, is clean, and is a good value considering the price. Conversion plugs for electrical outlets, hair dryers, and towels were also provided. Since the shower and toilet are in the same place, it may be difficult for those who are not good at it. Last time, I was able to make a last-minute reservation for a weekday stay, but next time when I tried to make a reservation on Saturday and Sunday, the same great room was already occupied. If you are unsure, we recommend making an early reservation.

Having lived in a hotel in Hong Kong, this elevator is relatively new. The room is clean and tidy, the service is good, there is no one-time wash, just give it if you ask. My wife and I really loved the stay at EATON, the location was really convenient, so many transit options and good access on foot to the neighbourhood around Mongkok and Temple st. The room was really cosy and everything was well thought out. Loved the atmosphere of the food hall too, it is a bonus to have such great quality of food stalls right at the hotel before heading out to explore in the afternoon. Definitely make the effort to take the star ferry to enjoy the harbour views too. Highly recommend the Eaton and will definitely return next time heading back into HK. Our quarantine has been such an easy and breezy stay. In a residential building, I thought it was a fake youth hostel. After checking in, I found that the experience was great. I recommend it with five stars. 1. The girls lived in a five-bed room. Land is very expensive in Hong Kong, so the house space was larger than expected. 2. The room is very clean, and the quality of the guests staying there is also relatively high, and the hygiene is well maintained. 3. There is an independent bathroom with a wash basin, and the other wash basin is at the door, separated from the room by a thick curtain, which can be used for sound insulation and will not be disturbed by the sound of opening the door. Highly recommended! Friends who go to Hong Kong can stay here with confidence. Because it was newly opened and there were no reviews, I was quite worried before going there. Environment: In the Lixin Building next to Jordan Station, the first floor of the building is filled with shops, but the upper floors are quite clean and the staff are simple. There are basically three hotels on the fifth floor. Lucky Star Hotel is newly renovated and seems to have only 8 rooms in total. The owner can understand Mandarin and no deposit is required! (Emphasis added) The sound insulation is average. Occasionally, you can hear the sound of other rooms pressing code locks and the sound of cars outside the building, but you can just bring your own earplugs. What kind of bicycle do you want at this price... Facilities: The single room is small, but has everything you need. Including British standard to national standard plug, hot water bottle, hair dryer, shower gel, disposable cotton bath towel. But I didn’t see any shampoo or toothpaste. I washed my hair directly with shower gel, and it was quite smooth. You can probably ask the boss for toothpaste. Hygiene: The toilet is also clean!

I stayed for 1 night. The room I stayed in had bedbugs (10 bed male dorm). I saw 2 of them crawling on my bed curtain, but I don't think I had any bites. I told the manager about it but she said that she didn't believe me because no one else complained. This can happen in even the best hotels, but you have to deal with bedbugs quickly or they will become a big problem.
