Hostels in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

The dorm was quite tricky to find on the sidewalk, walking from JR Kanazawa station, the sign was on a wall behind me, in the walkway leading into the building it was. One should look out to the left once you’ve reached the building. There were no staff when I checked in late at night around 10pm, but I received an email beforehand detailing the guest forms I should fill up and some other information. Once I arrived, there were other clear instructions about my bunk, luggage storage and house rules. The entry area had several books and leaflets about the area and a map indicating eateries and sightseeing locations recommended by staff, a useful touch. Some of it were in English too. The bunk was perfectly acceptable for a quick night sleep. The bed was wide and had lockable lockers to the side. Refreshments like drinks, snacks and noodles were also available for a small fee and payment was done via a tin box. Overall, very good value for money and it provided an opportunity to chat with other travellers staying by there. I chatted with someone from Taiwan and a local working at Kanazawa station’s tourist information centre. He was snowed in for the night and it’s worth noting that, it would be a struggle to haul luggage through heavy snow on the way to the property.

It's one of the best capsule hotels I've ever stayed. To be honest, I prefer staying at the capsule hotel in Japan than the hostels in Europe. It's very convenient & very well-organized. After 4 pm, the reception will give me a new set of dry towels & pajama. On top of that, a voucher was given for having breakfast at Starbuck. This capsule hotel is super-clean. They clean the facility daily from 11 am to 4 pm. The capsule itself was very comfortable for me to sleep for 3 nights. It's one of the best experience for a solo-traveler who come & visit Japan. If I visit Kanazawa alone again, I will definitely come & stay at this hostel.

Common space is also secured and enough for short stays. ● High cost performance It is ideal for those who want to suppress the accommodation cost in the reasonable price range in the center of Kanazawa. There are options from dormitory to private room, and it can be adjusted according to the application. ● Casual accommodation experience There is a bar ／ lounge on the first floor, and you can expect exchange between guests. Ambience suitable for solo travel, short stay and casual travel. ■ Points of concern Notes ● Room size and privacy are limited For dormitory use, luggage space and privacy are minimal. There is a voice that the change space is narrow in the private room with the shower. ● Mura in the quietness of the building In the past, it is pointed out that ”it is noisy by using the bar at midnight”. It is not suitable for users who emphasize quiet environment. ● Time Limit for Service Use Check-in time is limited to 16:00 〜 19:30. Excellent value for money, quiet, and very clean. The bathroom facilities were spotless. Check-in was self-service at the front desk, with staff on hand to assist, and they were polite, enthusiastic, and professional. Breakfast was included the next day, with a choice of two simple sets, which was nice. We could also store our luggage for free. The only minor downside is that it's a 10-12 minute walk from the subway station (especially with luggage), but overall, the value for money is definitely outstanding.

i didn't stay at this hotel. he gave me a cash refund. very nice owner. there's no elevator. the laundry machines are outside and looked dirty.

At first, we couldn't find the accommodation because the snow blocked the entrance. We got experience in climbing the snow to get to the accommodation. The owner is very cute and provides excellent service. I am very impressed. I would recommend it.

Great place, wish I would of been able to stay there a few more days. Right close to the walkway. Easy getting to and from downtown. The women there are very helpful. Just explained were I was trying to go and they helped me with the buses.

It was good to be able to calm down and relax at a reasonable price. The bath was also reserved, and I took a large bus calmly by １ people, and I was tired of work. I'm also thinking of staying with my family, not work.
