The dorm room, entrance, dining area, and restrooms were all generally clean. It was very comfortable having a kitchen (with a fridge and freezer) and a private shower (with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a bath towel). There were also restaurants, convenience stores, and a bike parking area nearby. While there's a restaurant in the building, so the first and second floors might feel a bit less pristine, the third floor was perfectly fine. The bed had a plush mattress. Even though it's a dormitory, I was able to get a great night's sleep.

No way I would not return if it were free. The dorm reeks of bad odours. Room is also even colder than the sitting room. No heating throughout. I had requested a bottom bunk but when I arrived it was taken. The top bunk is dangerously steep and high. I recently injured my knee and showed the lady. She unfortunately did not swap me a bed with someone who had not arrived. Not to worry I slept on sofa in reception. There was no smells there. Maybe that's why there was no door on mixed dorm? To keep room aired? The foreigners here have no respect for other guests. Hands free phone conversations. Watching stuff on phone without earphones. Bellowing down and up the staircase on phones. In the toilet using phones. Too much noise. Indians and hispanics were the loudest. I have been all over japan. Its my third time. Usually japs are the majority of guests. Been much more quiet and none of this nonsense. Would not recommend here at all. Had to wash my face in cold water as no hot water and I ran it for a while. In morning warm water to be replaced by cold again. Unstable supply. Crazy man come in property at 2am and making smelly food and eating until around 3am. So much smell and noise. Using the drying machine with metal objects tapping for nearly one and a half hours. Why use the dryer at that time? Crazy jap or china man. I doubt he was even a punter, as anyone can walk in and use facilities and stay for free. Who would stop them as property is unmanned. A l9t of people were strolling in all hours very late. Its a free house here and locals will know this. Cant open blind to let in light in living room. Not happy. They make a lot of money by cramming in so many beds in tight room. They should spend money on property. Waste of money booking here. Kaikatsu is a better bet. Its now 6.12am someone turned on some heating in reception. Its too late as I am leaving. Garbage 24 blaring bright lights 24 hours, so bright that are blinding in property. As I go to stairwell and decend its black. Not one light. Crazy dangerous place. Can't see much just blackness and litter. Good job I didn't fall

I like that the place is relatively small so going to the toilet and shower area was extremely fuss free. Price honestly feels unbeatable in the area so no complaints.

The beds were well-maintained and clean, which is always a top priority when choosing budget accommodation. Despite the reasonable price point, there was no compromise on basic cleanliness and comfort. Given the recent earthquake that affected the region, visiting Kanazawa now is more meaningful than ever. By traveling to the area and spending money at local businesses, we can all contribute to the region's recovery. I encourage fellow travelers to consider Kanazawa for their next trip - you'll not only experience a beautiful historic city but also help support the community during this crucial time.

The dorm was quite tricky to find on the sidewalk, walking from JR Kanazawa station, the sign was on a wall behind me, in the walkway leading into the building it was. One should look out to the left once you’ve reached the building. There were no staff when I checked in late at night around 10pm, but I received an email beforehand detailing the guest forms I should fill up and some other information. Once I arrived, there were other clear instructions about my bunk, luggage storage and house rules. The entry area had several books and leaflets about the area and a map indicating eateries and sightseeing locations recommended by staff, a useful touch. Some of it were in English too. The bunk was perfectly acceptable for a quick night sleep. The bed was wide and had lockable lockers to the side. Refreshments like drinks, snacks and noodles were also available for a small fee and payment was done via a tin box. Overall, very good value for money and it provided an opportunity to chat with other travellers staying by there. I chatted with someone from Taiwan and a local working at Kanazawa station’s tourist information centre. He was snowed in for the night and it’s worth noting that, it would be a struggle to haul luggage through heavy snow on the way to the property.

I stayed at the Kanazawa Blue Time Hostel for six consecutive nights. After arriving at Komatsu Airport, I took the airport bus for 1300 yen directly to Kanazawa Station. From the Drum Gate (a landmark in front of Kanazawa Station), it's about a 150-meter walk to the hostel building. The hostel occupies the entire 3rd floor; there's no elevator, which might be inconvenient if you have large suitcases. The hostel's location is very convenient, a 3-minute walk to Kanazawa Station. There are various restaurants and supermarkets within the station, and you can walk to Omicho Market, Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Higashi Chaya Street, and other tourist areas. You can also buy a one-day bus pass at the Kanazawa Station Tourist Information Center to explore Kanazawa. I stayed in a female dormitory room. This area requires a password to enter, ensuring good privacy. There are seven female dorm rooms, each with a dedicated toilet and shower. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and provide face wash, shower gel, conditioner, and a hairdryer. The beds were spacious, single-level rather than bunk beds, with ample room. Each bed had a locker with a password, slippers, and a clean towel provided daily. Free Wi-Fi with a stable signal was available. The women's area also had a dedicated tea room with a kettle, microwave, and mini-fridge. Note that toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided. The shower room was small, which might feel cramped for taller individuals. My only issue was the mattress, which was too soft for my comfort. The hostel's common areas offered free coffee and tea, and the mixed dormitory area had showers, washrooms, and washing machines and dryers, making the facilities quite comprehensive. This was a great, affordable place to stay during my solo trip to Kanazawa, where I had a pleasant and enjoyable time. Kanazawa is a clean, beautiful, quaint, and charming city, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

The room was considered spacious for a hostel. There was no one at the front desk and no one was there to store luggage. I couldn't find any toiletries, such as disposable toothbrushes. There was tea and coffee available for self-service.

This was my first time using this type of accommodation, and I was glad that it was kept clean. The women's floor is separated into rooms with individual beds and shared spaces (work space, shower, toilet), so I was able to stay there without any particular issues. However, there are no sinks on the women's floor, so I had to go back and forth frequently. I think it would be more comfortable if this could be improved.
