Hostels in Jiangsu, China

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me. I mentioned I had food that needed microwaving, and they happily obliged. Later, I asked if I could store some leftover takeout in the fridge, and they assisted me with that too. The common areas and restrooms were constantly being cleaned by an attendant, so everything was super clean and tidy. The room itself was also great. I booked a quad room and met two lovely ladies who I instantly clicked with; we even went out for dinner and shopping together. The hostel also has a self-service washing machine, which is free to use – excellent!

Just checked out and couldn't wait to write a rave review! This hostel completely exceeded my expectations. The location is superb, just a short walk to the subway, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The common areas are huge and beautifully decorated. Chatting with fellow travelers from all over the world creates such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The beds are clean and cozy, and once you pull the curtain, you have your own private little world, complete with charging ports and a small night light – absolutely perfect in terms of detail. The front desk staff and volunteers are all super enthusiastic, patiently recommending authentic local food and travel routes, which saved me a lot of hassle on my trip. The biggest surprise was the rooftop terrace; enjoying the night view with a breeze in the evening was incredibly pleasant, and you can even catch the sunrise in the morning. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit and highly recommend it to all backpackers!

This is one of the top three hostels I've ever stayed in. The environment is really good, and there are plenty of restrooms, including both squat toilets and regular ones. Laundry, drying, and ironing facilities are super convenient. I absolutely loved it! The common areas are also very spacious. Especially the bedding – it's disinfected just like in a hotel, and even the slippers come from a disinfection cabinet. The pillows and mattress are excellent; while they can't compare to high-end hotels, among hostels, I highly recommend this one.

I chose this hostel for my solo trip to Suzhou, and the overall experience completely exceeded my expectations! It's located right next to the South Gate of Lion Grove Garden, just a few minutes' walk to Pingjiang Road and Humble Administrator's Garden, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. It's great for getting to all the attractions. The front desk service was gentle and thoughtful, patiently answering all my questions about sightseeing. The facilities are complete, with laundry and drying areas available. The female dorm beds offer excellent privacy, making me feel very secure as a solo traveler. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Suzhou! It's so convenient to go anywhere and really comfortable, the value for money is great. A day trip in Suzhou is wonderful. Yesterday there was a bit of sun, and then it immediately rained – truly the misty江南 (Jiangnan, a region known for its misty landscapes)!

This hostel is perfect for young people with all sorts of games available. The rooms are quite spacious, and you won't be disturbed by other guests. The environment is good, and the rooms are clean. The women's restroom is okay, but when showering, water flows out of the shower stall and into the rest of the bathroom, which is inconvenient for those using the toilet. This could definitely be improved. Other than that, everything was fine. When I booked the hostel, I read some reviews saying that there was a KTV nearby and that sleeping could be an issue, but I didn't experience any loud noise. It's very close to Xinjiekou Metro Station Exit 15, and below Exit 1, there are many bars and arcades. Mingwalam is also nearby. It's not too far from Nanjing Railway Station by metro. Most importantly, I'm very satisfied because I think it's hard to find such an affordable hostel in Xinjiekou.

The environment was better than I expected, with individual lights for each bed. The front desk staff were very helpful and carried my luggage for me. They provided hot drinking water, disposable cups, a hairdryer, and tissues. The location is excellent – the subway station is super close, just a short walk across the street. Right outside, there's a snack street and a mall, which is incredibly convenient. The only downside is having a Zhaoyiming and Haoxianglai downstairs, constantly tempting me to go in and buy snacks! :D

This stay exceeded my expectations! The room had great natural light, was meticulously cleaned, and there were no unpleasant odors or hard-to-reach corners. The soundproofing was good, and it was very quiet at night. The staff were friendly and responsive to any needs. The hotel is easy to find, and the surrounding amenities are convenient. Highly recommended!

This was the best hostel I stayed at during my trip! The location is super convenient, close to the subway and shopping areas, so finding my way around was a breeze. The cleanliness was the biggest surprise – rooms and bathrooms were cleaned regularly every day. Each bed came with a blackout curtain, individual charging port, and a small night light. Drawing the curtain created a private little space, perfect even for introverts. The owner and front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; they helped me plan my itinerary, recommended local eateries, and offered free luggage storage. The common lounge was spacious, with a washing machine, water dispenser, and sofas for relaxing. My dorm mates were all quiet and respectful, so I had no trouble sleeping at night. It's truly rare to find such high quality in budget accommodation.

The overall environment of the room is very good, very clean, the bed is very soft and comfortable, and the equipment and facilities are perfect. I have been here more than once or twice, I am very satisfied, and I will come to 😚 in the future.

This is the kind of place I love to stumble upon! The location is amazing, it doesn’t get any better, and for the price it’s amazing value! The hostel has all the comfort one can expect from such establishments, and the staff is super friendly (and speak fluent English!). You can enjoy kombucha and read books downstairs and they will offer great advice of what to do in Suzhou. The dorms and shared bathrooms are clean, there is a washing machine.
