Excellent location adjacent (10 min walk) to bus stops that can get you to the HSR train station, and to the bus station where you can catch a bus to the big waterfall- Huangguoshu Waterfall. Hostel owner was willing to drive me to the big bridge for the bungee jump; for a fee (it's about a 2-hour drive- Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge. Place is otherwise in good walking-distance to the Confucius place, and the Lake, and the main market streets. Living room area is amazing with 20-foot floor to ceiling windows, spiral staircase, and street view. Hardwood floors. Responsive manager.

ccchung123I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel was clean and tidy overall, and the staff were enthusiastic and polite throughout, responding promptly to any requests. The room I stayed in this time was much more spacious than last time, with plenty of room to move around, making for a particularly comfortable stay. Downstairs, there's a bustling food street with a wide variety of options for all three meals and late-night snacks, making it incredibly convenient to find food. The location is excellent, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip.

This is the 12th hostel I've stayed at in China, and I spent 6 days here during my Guizhou trip. It's a place with very clear pros and cons.
Pros:
1. Convenient location: It's within walking distance of Qingyun Market, the Ethnic Minorities Museum is just across the street, there's a Walmart right by the subway entrance for supplies, and a really good massage place in the Broadcast and Television Compound.
2. Fair price: The rates didn't even increase during a concert period.
3. Responsive host: The host was always accommodating and quick to respond.
Cons:
1. Small space: Both the 4-bed dorm room and the bathroom/shower area were very cramped. No wet/dry separation. Due to the small space, there are no lockers inside the room; they are in the main hall.
2. General hygiene: It was just okay. For example, under the mattresses, there were countless 'treasures' left by previous guests, and there were always hairs in the sink.
3. Public areas: No curfew and no smoking ban.
Suggestions for the owner:
1. When guests check in, the host could briefly introduce the common area facilities, such as the laundry room and where the lockers are.
2. The hot/cold labels on the shower faucet in the women's bathroom are completely reversed. Please fix them or put up a clear sign on the wall. Also, regularly inspect and maintain all facilities.
3. Some mattresses are too thin, like lying on a board, while others are too thick, making it hard to sit up straight without hitting your head when getting in and out of bed. The mattresses vary between beds. I suggest replacing them all with a moderate thickness.
4. There are gaps around the edges of the mattresses where things can easily fall. Please check around the mattresses for any lost 'treasures' after guests check out.
5. Implement rules for public areas, such as no loud music or shouting after a certain hour.

Guest UserWow, this is easily my favorite hostel I've ever stayed at! The space is huge, and the vibe is fantastic. They have a really big common area with a bar, small tables, and more, perfect for even just sitting by yourself. The toilets and showers are separate, and the restrooms are a good distance from the rooms, so you won't be bothered by hairdryer noise at night. Everyone was quite considerate, and there was no noise coming from the rooms. The beds are super wide, 1.3m, very comfortable, and the hygiene is excellent. Plus, there are adorable dogs at the hostel that greeted me right when I walked in. This is genuinely the most pleasant hostel experience I've had; it really felt like hotel quality without the hotel price. Next time I'm in Guiyang, I'm definitely staying here again – I need to pet those dogs some more! 😋 (I'm not a shill, I genuinely recommend this hostel!)

Wangjiexiaopengyou.ᏔLocated on a mountaintop, the environment is very tranquil, offering panoramic views of Landes. Brushing your teeth on the viewpoint in the early morning fog is quite charming. The owner and her husband were very friendly and welcoming, and their cooking was delicious. The other guests were also very kind. A very satisfying stay! (๑ت๑)

путешественницаGreat place to stay for one or two nights. Close to the North station and Metro station. Clean, but under the bed a wide layer of dust, need to remove) bed wide, seats many. In general, there is a chair, table, microwave, drinking water. the toilet is very clean, but instead of the door blinds, it is strange) in general I am pleased, I can recommend other travelers.

Guest UserSimple hostel, serve its purpose for an affordable stay. I stayed in single room with attached bathroom. Excellent location, easy to reach from the train station and easy to go to all the sightseeing places. Boss is very helpful with directions and recommendations for sightseeing. He’s very approachable and kind. Wake up early and be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise just outside the hostel. Would highly recommend.

Anonymous UserService: The proprietress was really nice; she even offered us some of her homemade bayberry drink. When it rained, she kindly helped us move our clothes under the shelter.
Environment: The guesthouse is situated on the commercial street directly opposite the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It's just a few minutes' walk to the park entrance, making the location excellent. There are also a few parking spots available right outside, which is convenient for those driving.
Facilities: On the first floor, there's a small courtyard for drying clothes. The TV isn't a smart TV, and the shower runs on an electric water heater. The bathroom lacks a wet/dry separation and is very cramped. The shower head is uncomfortably close to both the toilet and the sink, and the storage shelf was broken. Overall, the bathroom is extremely basic. The sink's water pressure was far too strong; when I turned it on, water sprayed everywhere! A bathroom like this, reminiscent of a hostel's, really doesn't justify a price tag of over 300 RMB. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed, which gave me a headache at night. I'd recommend the owner install an air deflector.
Hygiene: Hygiene was just average. I'd suggest cleaning the bathroom door and especially the water cups – even if unused, the overall impression was quite unappetizing.
Finally: Finally, the room we stayed in looked nothing like the photos displayed on Ctrip. Perhaps the room shown in the pictures was given to other guests. The advertised room had enough space between the TV and bed to comfortably fit a small table with two chairs. Our room, however, was incredibly small; simply placing a suitcase between the bed and TV made it feel extremely cramped! It certainly didn't match the square footage mentioned in the description. I highly recommend separating these room types for sale from the promotional photos, as this is very misleading! The price wasn't cheap, yet the room quality was so poor...

Follow-up review 😂
📌 The cleaning at this hostel is exceptionally thorough and meticulous. I actually switched beds, and even though the upper bunk hadn't been used much, they changed all the bedding to a new set. This really shows how serious and complete their cleaning routine is. The cleaning staff sweeps each room every day, and the communal bathrooms are maintained regularly. The entire building is free of any damp or stale odors, which made me feel completely safe and secure during my stay.
📌 The location offers maximum convenience for getting around. It's right next to Exit K of the Pen Shuichi (Fountain) Metro Station, just a short walk away. Guiyang's underground passages can be quite confusing, but coming from the metro, it's very easy to find (from Exit K, take the escalator to your right, walk straight for about 50 meters, you'll see a liquor store, and in the middle, there's a small alley with a sign for 'travel photography' or something similar. Go through there, and you'll see elevators that go directly to the 31st floor. P.S. Even the double-decker elevators go up there).
📌 Downstairs, there are plenty of breakfast stalls and bus stops. It's close to Guomao Mall, and the metro provides direct access to all major scenic spots. Daily dining, shopping, and commuting are all incredibly convenient, with almost no extra travel time needed.
📌 The facilities are thoughtful and comprehensive, making for a very comfortable stay. The four-person room I booked was spacious and didn't feel cramped. Each guest gets a private locker with card access, so valuable items can be stored securely. There's a dedicated area for luggage, and you can also store it at the front desk for free. The common areas are huge, featuring a giant screen TV, a game zone, and a coffee lounge. On the top floor, there's a reading nook and a '网红流星顶' (internet-famous meteor shower ceiling), perfect for reading, relaxing, and socializing in your downtime. Charging ports are available everywhere, and free drinking water is supplied 24/7.
📌 The pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Considering the overall environment, service, and amenities, this price is definitely worth it. It's the best hostel I've experienced in my 8 years of traveling.
🌿 From now on, whenever I come to Guiyang, this will be my go-to place. There's no other choice! ✌️
