Hostels in Guangdong, China

I stayed at this hotel based on a recommendation. This time, I used a triple room. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 5-minute walk from Yangji Station (Exit F), offering access to Metro Lines 1 and 5, which is great for sightseeing and getting around the city. There's a shared space and kitchen on the top floor, which was very relaxing. The hotel had a quiet and calm atmosphere, making my stay comfortable. The balance between location and facilities is excellent, and I would definitely want to stay here again if I have the chance to visit Guangzhou.

This was my first time staying in a female-only hostel, and it far exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy, and the beds were sturdy with blackout curtains and reading lights, which made me feel very secure. The other women staying there were all super friendly; we shared travel tips in the evenings, and the atmosphere was so warm, like a girls' night in. The common areas were decorated very artistically, and there were plenty of makeup mirrors and charging ports, which is so convenient for solo female travelers. The owner even thoughtfully provided sanitary pads and hair ties – perfect attention to detail! The location is excellent, and it offers fantastic value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit and have already recommended it to my girl squad!

Traveling solo on a budget in Guangzhou, this place was absolutely perfect. With both Line 10 and Zhongda Metro Station nearby, it was just a few stops to attractions like the Dafo Temple and Canton Tower. I spent my days exploring Wanda Plaza in Haizhu and my evenings enjoying the breeze and night views along Yanjiang Road. Having a Yonghui Supermarket right next door made it super convenient to grab instant noodles or fruit. The hostel beds have curtains, creating a cozy little private space, and the overall environment is great. The value for money is truly unbeatable!

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and the front desk staff were really enthusiastic. The facilities here are quite good; they have washing machines, dryers, and even shoe washing machines, though there are a bit too few of them. There are only four showers and toilets, which can be insufficient during peak hours, and it seemed like two of the toilets were out of order. The shower rooms have wet and dry separation, but I found the way the showerhead turns on a bit difficult to use. The toilets only have commodes, but they provide disposable toilet seat covers and disinfectant. The hairdryer was super powerful and worked great. The hygiene in the wash-up area felt a bit lacking; the vanity table had a layer of something unidentifiable caked on it, looking quite dirty. The amenities for the bunks are also good; each bed has its own storage space, including a small lockable cabinet and a spot for luggage. However, the bedding makes noise with even the slightest movement; it would be better if softer material was used, and it didn't seem very clean. If something isn't clean, it should probably be replaced. I found the pillow too high and uncomfortable to sleep on; I hope they can offer choices of different heights. The luggage storage on the first floor is great, allowing you to enjoy your day even after checking out with a lot of bags. The surrounding area has hardware stores, and it can be quite noisy in the mornings when they open, which might wake you up. Overall, it's pretty good, but the hygiene details are a bit lacking, so it might not be very comfortable for germaphobes. I hope 'Backpack Ten Years' can improve and have a longer future. Oh, and the small bread at the bar was decent.

The location is great, close to the subway station, and inside Nantou Ancient Town, there are many small and exquisite cafes, creating a vibrant, local atmosphere. The staff are all very enthusiastic, and the cats are adorable. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, I'm tempted to buy the same set! The ground floor is a pub where you can chat with friends from all over the world, and they often host various events – the atmosphere couldn't be better!

The environment is beautiful, with an endless expanse of blue ocean right outside the window. The air is so fresh, and it really lifts your spirits! The room was clean, tidy, and cozy. Dining was convenient. After dinner, I hit the hotel gym, worked up a good sweat, and then came back to the room for a refreshing shower before falling into a deep, beautiful sleep!

The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the subway, which is quite convenient, and there are many delivery options nearby. First, I knew before booking that there were no gender restrictions for check-in, but I wasn't aware that rooms weren't separated by gender. I'm not sure how they allocate rooms, but personally, I felt uncomfortable seeing men in the hallways. Second, although there's an en-suite bathroom, the space is very small. Third, the facilities felt a bit dated; the curtains and bed curtains were very thin and let in a lot of light, and the window handle was broken, so the window couldn't be closed completely. Finally, and this isn't specific to this hostel, I was woken up several nights by roommates checking in late, which is a common issue in hostels.

A hidden gem of a hostel! I stayed in Shenzhen while attending a concert in Hong Kong, and the staff here were all so thoughtful and provided excellent service. The location is super close to the subway, just across the street, and the environment is lovely and clean. What surprised me most was the incredible attention to detail—they even provide hair ties and shower caps in the showers, and cotton pads in the vanity area, and so much more! Other guests were also very considerate; everyone would quiet down and lower their voices once night fell. You girls are all angels!!!

The lighting was nice, just a bit dim. It was slightly less impressive than another place I stayed, but still good overall, offering great value for money. The bed wasn't very sturdy, and the cabinet was broken, so they moved me to a different bed. My roommate was friendly.

Stayed for a few days, it was very comfortable. My roommates were also very considerate. The photos are accurate; the landlord sent them to me directly, but they truly reflect the actual place. It's in the city center, and for this price and environment, it's much better than most hostels in Guangzhou. They provide disposable toothbrushes, shampoo, and body wash, and there are no restrictions on using the air conditioning. It's really great! 🌹🌹
