The room is great, and the amenities are well worth the price. The cleaning staff (Ayi) is very warm and helpful, accommodating special requests for tidying up. It would be even better if the balcony were cleaner and had outdoor furniture like a table and chairs. The front desk concierge was also quite enthusiastic.

Booked an RV, got a free upgrade to a tent, and they even turned on the AC beforehand, so it was super comfortable when we arrived. The facilities in the tent were much better than expected too. The water temperature adjusted quickly, and the water pressure was just right, making showers much more pleasant than I thought they'd be. The bathroom was also very clean, with no strange odors, and all the toiletries were disposable and spotless. The B&B's location is really close to Parking Lot No. 2 at Mingsha Mountain. During the May Day holiday, this parking lot was open, so after the concert with thousands of people, it was only a ten-minute drive back to the B&B. At night, we sat outside the tent and stargazed – it was so peaceful. However, most guests here tend to sleep late; people didn't really stop talking outside until around midnight to 1 AM, which fits the schedule of younger crowds. We're used to wearing earplugs when we sleep, so we slept great, all the way until 8 or 9 AM, and then enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The breakfast was also very healthy and fresh. The staff were all very friendly, and we had a fantastic time trying out the desert off-roading and sandboarding! If I get the chance to come back, I'd definitely want to stay here again.

The location is inside Tianshui Ancient City, a bit hard to find. Breakfast is a collaboration with the shop next door, only available from 8 AM, which is different from the information provided here. The room's screen mirroring works fine, but there are constant ads… The room doesn't have a key; it has a combination lock, so you don't have to worry about only having one card for two people. The front desk provides many free small items that you can use. The downsides are that if you stay on the first floor, you'll hear noise from outside, and if no one is at the front desk during check-in, you'll have to wait.

It's very close to Labrang Monastery. The homestay is in a hutong. The ******* style atmosphere is full when entering the homestay. The children love it. The owner is warm and thoughtful and helped with the luggage. In the morning, milk tea and butter breakfast were prepared. The restaurant recommended for dinner was economical and delicious. There were no disappointments. Highly recommended 👍

Best hotel I’ve stayed in on my trip. The family made me feel so welcome. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of hot water. Food was great. They gave me a bike to cycle to the grasslands and did my washing for free! Also dropped me at the bus station. So kind and lovely. And the owner speaks perfect English.

This is a very special place to stay and the best option for visiting the Danxia Park. I visited in April and essentially had the site to ourselves. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is also good. The site is ideal to be able to enter the park early to see the sunset as well as spend time close to the formations from the comfort of the camp. Like any camp one has to be prepared for shared bathrooms and showers, but the overall experience makes it totally worth it. At night it does get a bit cold, depending on the season, but with the heaters provided it was fine. I would highly recommend!

A wonderful place This hotel is a real germ. The well looked after house is very clean, airy and nicely decorated and in a quiet neighbourhood. The centre is easily reached by taxi. We got an upgrade to a very spacious room with a very comfortable bed, fluffy towels and a fresh herbal foot bath every day as well as nice local fruit tea. Breakfast was delicious. Above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The manageress picked us up from the railway station on arrival, and organised an amazing taxi driver for our tours for a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this hotel.

This was our third trip to Dunhuang, and we chose Molan Homestay this time because we saw it was newly opened. The pictures looked good, so we booked it. The homestay is located in a village, a bit out of the city center, but it's very quiet. There's parking right in front, which is convenient, though no EV charging. That's understandable; installing chargers isn't simple and requires grid approval. I chatted with the owner, and he said they're working on it, so hopefully, next time I won't have to go elsewhere to charge. The homestay environment is lovely, just like the photos, perfect for photoshoots. The front desk staff was super enthusiastic. After we checked in that evening, they must have noticed us eyeing the bar's liquor, because they proactively poured us two large glasses of craft beer. And I have to say, the craft beer chosen by the owner was absolutely fantastic, it really helped shake off the fatigue from driving all the way from Delingha to Dunhuang. Kudos to the owner! For breakfast, the owner was very thoughtful, asking what we'd like and if we wanted it delivered to our room. The food tasted good, and the dishes were healthy, catering to most tastes. When we left, they even gave us some essentials for the road, like wet wipes and compressed towels. All in all, this trip was tiring, but the experience was wonderful. Oh, and one minor regret: I came at the wrong time. The Li Guang apricots at the homestay weren't ripe yet. Otherwise, I could have experienced an all-you-can-eat apricot feast! I hope next time I visit, the apricots haven't all been picked. I definitely want to pick the first ripe one (though the owner will probably get it first, haha). The B&B as a whole completely exceeded our expectations: highly recommended🌟 Very very clean, the design is particularly warm. The rooms with balconies are equipped with a full set of equipment for making tea around the stove. You can make tea on the balcony yourself. The balcony is at the highest point of the entire Zhagana B&B. The Fairy Beach and the mountains opposite can be seen. At 7:30 in the morning (we came in May), you can watch the sunrise directly on the balcony 🌅 The room is fully equipped. We came in May. The weather was slightly cool. There was a vertical air conditioner in the room. It warmed up in five minutes. The bed, toilet, and shower room were all very clean. Disposable toilet mats and towels were all prepared. It was more thoughtful than we thought. The restaurant is on the top floor. You don’t have to worry about food problems when playing around. You can solve three meals a day in the restaurant. There are Chinese meals. It can be said that it is very delicious. It is the most delicious meal in Gannan. As soon as I entered the door, the boss sister cooked three cups of highland barley milk tea for me, and also cut the watermelon and melon. The boss brother and sister are very neat people. Even their own dogs are very clean. The rooftop is very clean and the view is very good.

The guesthouse is a 15-minute walk from the entrance to Mingsha Mountain, but the owner is incredibly kind and will pick you up and drop you off in his minibus. The guesthouse's style reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in Chiang Mai. The courtyard has a pond, a grape trellis laden with bunches of unripe fruit, and a rocking chair where I would lie in the morning sun. There's a laundry room and drying area. There's a rest area where you can help yourself to sliced ​​watermelon and cantaloupe, barley tea and chrysanthemum tea, drinking water, and ice. One day, the owner even gave me a capsule coffee. The guesthouse has a small Western restaurant, and after trying other restaurants, the 15 RMB breakfast voucher is a great deal. The owner also took us to see the Milky Way; without his invitation, I think I would have missed a wonderful experience. The only downside is that because it's in the countryside, there are many camel herders around the scenic area, so there are flies outdoors. However, the owner has kept them away with curtains.
