The location was great. If you’ve already enjoyed plenty of time on the beach, this hotel is a nice next choice. It’s close to the beautiful Dataran Lang, less than 3 km away. The hotel also offers a delicious breakfast, and just around the corner you’ll find a laundry service and a traditional Nasi Lemak restaurant, which is very convenient.

The hotel itself is well located and has a certain charm. The furniture is quite old, but in a way it adds character to the place. The staff we interacted with were generally kind and polite.
However, we had a very upsetting experience with the Ramadan buffet restaurant.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM after a long day of travel with two flights (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi). My mother had been fasting all day for Ramadan and had not eaten or drunk anything.
When we saw that the restaurant was preparing the Ramadan buffet, my mother sat down hoping to break her fast there. Unfortunately we were refused and told that reservations had to be made one day in advance.
This was very surprising for us, as we had just arrived in the country and could not possibly have reserved the day before.
We were directed to another nearby restaurant, but after waiting more than one hour we still had not received any food. During that time my mother — who had been fasting all day — still had nothing to eat, and my two-year-old child was crying because he was hungry.
In the end, my mother was only able to eat about two hours after the time of breaking the fast.
Aside from this very difficult experience, the hotel itself is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, I hope the management will consider being more flexible and understanding in situations like this, especially for guests observing Ramadan and families traveling with young children.
All just nice and view pool is awesome, only door bell sometimes keep ringing but nobody press, another room press door bell, room also ringing.....pliss fix it that all, overall good 👍
I claimed trip point and just pay only rm100 for standard room. It comes with breakfast for 2 pax. Cheap. Near to everything including Mixue. valet park only rm32. Recommended!

The Pelangi Beach Resort in Langkawi is a beachfront resort.
From the main entrance, it's a bit of a walk to the lobby. The lobby itself has that distinct resort vibe, with a high ceiling adorned with several large, beautiful chandeliers.
It's open from front to back, so you can see the view from the other side directly from the entrance. This is where you check-in, request a golf buggy, and there's also a lobby bar in the middle.
Stepping out from the lobby, you'll find one of the infinity pools. Beyond the pool are kids' amenities, including a water slide, and then it's straight to the beach.
To the right are the guest accommodations, which are all individual wooden chalets. Some are single-story, while others are two stories high, with guests on both levels. No matter where you stay, you'll either face a lake or the pool, and the views are absolutely stunning.
In addition, there's another pool called the Caesar Pool. This one is quite unique, with a swim-up bar. You can swim right up to the bar and order drinks. Normally, swim-up bars charge to your room, but here they only accept credit cards or cash, which is a bit odd. Who carries a credit card or cash while swimming?
As I mentioned, the entire resort is made up of wooden chalets. We stayed in a family room, which had two beds – one double and one single – perfect for a family of three.
The room has a ceiling fan and a door leading out to a small private terrace. You can sit here and gaze at the sea. There are also two sun loungers outside, belonging to the chalet, where you can sunbathe, enjoy the breeze, and watch the ocean – it's incredibly relaxing.
The bathroom in the room is spacious, with a toilet, shower, and bathtub. At the end of the bathtub, there are louvered blinds that you can open to reveal a beautiful view, making for a very pleasant soak.
The entire resort feels very natural and rustic, with sun loungers dotted along the beach. There’s a peculiar type of tree that looks wild and wind-swept, like messy hair. There are also many coconut trees, and if you look closely, you'll notice that the trunks have been cut with notches, creating footholds for climbing. I assume this is because ripe coconuts often fall naturally here. I even saw a coconut on the path during a walk, so I imagine they have people climb up to harvest the nearly ripe ones to prevent them from hitting anyone.
Furthermore, the beach here faces southwest, offering spectacular sunsets. The resort's restaurants are famous internationally for this. There's also a beach where guests can swim. However, the restaurants are very open to nature, so there are a lot of seabirds; sometimes they'll even swoop down and snatch food from your plate while you're eating. There are also quite a few small insects, which you'll have to accept if you stay at the resort. But being so close to the sea, soaking up the sun and swimming is truly relaxing. While this hotel may not have the same prestige as the Four Seasons, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth recommending.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities and the peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay. I will definitely be coming back!

Online reviews mentioned that staying in Kuah Town would be quieter, but since it's surrounded by seafood restaurants and roads, there were still motorcycle noises around 11 PM or 12 AM. However, it didn't bother us late sleepers, and it quieted down even later. In comparison, Pantai Cenang, being by the sea, would be much quieter. The room felt like an older 4-star hotel. I stayed in a twin room the first night and a king room the second, and for 300, it was generally good value for money. There's an I-Bing bubble tea shop nearby with delicious taro milkshakes, and it's also very close to Wonderland. Parking is very convenient and free.
My wife and I recently stayed here and overall, we had an enjoyable experience. The room was reasonably priced and offered good value for money. We especially liked the cozy atmosphere, and the convenience of having parking right in front of the room made our stay even more comfortable.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. The air conditioning was directed straight towards the bed, which made it quite cold during the night. Basic amenities like a toothbrush were not provided, so it’s better to bring your own. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a bit slow.
Despite these minor issues, we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back again.

Really great stay at Holiday Villas, has more than everything you need for a great holiday. The rooms are dated but they are clean and have all the facilities you need. The balconies feel a bit risky for young children so maybe requesting a ground floor room is better. The setting is perfect. The beach is so nice and there are more than enough sun loungers, toilets nearer the beach would be helpful as it is quite a walk for people from the beach. Overall great stay.

YYuanhuaruixiangRebak Island Resort & Marina, the sole hotel on Langkawi's Rebak Island, offered me an unforgettable vacation. If you're seeking a truly secluded sanctuary to connect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
The island's environment is simply breathtaking! Surrounded by refreshing scenery, there are plenty of trails to explore on foot. What surprised me most was the excellent ecological preservation here. The hotel even offers a guided one-hour nature walk every Sunday at 8:30 AM. Through this, I learned about many unique Malaysian flora and fauna – it was a truly valuable learning experience!
Beyond hiking, we could also cycle. The bay where the hotel is situated is also a significant stop for global sailing, adding a special maritime flair to the entire resort.
What truly warmed my heart during this trip was the hotel's service. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and I sincerely thank them for that! Our package included dinner, and breakfast was a standard buffet with a wide variety of choices. The dinner menu also offered excellent selection, and both the taste and service left us very satisfied.
Even better, despite being on a private island, transportation to and from the mainland was absolutely no issue. There are several complimentary shuttle boat services daily, making it very convenient.
Of course, even in a perfect experience, there were some things to get used to.
1. **Soundproofing in wooden villas:** The hotel rooms are older-style wooden villas, usually two stories. If you stay on the ground floor, you will indeed hear the footsteps of guests upstairs quite clearly.
2. **Monkey neighbors:** Because the island's ecosystem is so thriving, we had quite a few monkey neighbors! Everyone needs to be extra careful and remember not to leave your room door open, otherwise, they might come in and ”steal” your food.
**Summary:**
Putting aside the soundproofing of the older villas and the ”mischief” of the little monkeys, Rebak Island Resort & Marina earned my highest praise for its unparalleled natural environment, rich ecological activities, and thoughtful, attentive service. It was a soulful journey back to nature!
GGuest UserThis family-friendly hotel is absolutely fantastic! Paired with the beautiful Langkawi weather, it made for the best part of our trip. We stayed for two nights during the Chinese New Year holiday with my whole family, including seniors and kids, in a family suite which was a standalone wooden chalet. The hotel environment is excellent, nestled between mountains and water, and it's also right next to the SkyCab, so you could easily spend two days just exploring the area. We also booked an island hopping tour through the hotel, which was convenient, good value, and a great experience. We'll definitely come back next time we have a chance. A special mention to Sofie at the front desk – she was incredibly nice and gentle, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience for guests. The hotel's Thai restaurant is great, followed by the Malaysian restaurant. We didn't go to the Chinese restaurant; I just glanced at the menu and decided against it. It felt like over 80% of the guests here were Caucasians, and the overall atmosphere, including at check-in and on the beach, was very peaceful.
JJinwushengzhixuyuConclusion: At over 1300 MYR during the May Day holiday, this hotel is highly recommended.
Facilities: The overall facilities are clean and tidy, which is why I ultimately chose this hotel in Langkawi. It offers standardized five-star service and brand-new facilities. The pools are a major highlight; both the ground-floor pool bar and the fifth-floor infinity pool are very comfortable. After 6 PM, you can relax by the pool and wait for the sunset.
Service: Special commendation to the front desk doorman who proactively helped with luggage and was both polite and enthusiastic!
Here are the downsides:
1. The shower area had a faint sewage smell, and it took a long time for the hot water to come on.
2. I don't know which floor's door kept banging due to the wind; the sound was intermittent, but thankfully, I fall asleep quickly.
3. The front desk assigned me one of the more mediocre sea-view rooms, located on the sixth floor in the corner furthest from the sunset view.
The minibar was complimentary on the first night, and breakfast was quite rich. The laksa was delicious, though sometimes it ran out.
4. Breakfast service was mediocre. After the staff seated me, they didn't ask if I wanted coffee. I had to ask for it later, and even then, it took a while to arrive (or didn't arrive).

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort! The pool is huge and very clean — I swam for almost 3 hours each day during my 2-night stay 🤭.
My pool access room was super comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. I also loved that there’s a bathtub!
A few small suggestions for improvement:
1. It would be great to have street lights at the junction leading to the resort.
2. Adding a clear sign at the entrance would help, especially at night or during rainy weather.
3. Breakfast was okay overall. The English-style options were good, but the local dishes like fried kuey teow, fried vermicelli, and nasi lemak could use a bit more flavour.
Overall, I had a pleasant and relaxing stay — definitely a resort I’d love to come back to! 🌴💦
GGuest UserThis hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.
GGuest UserI perceive the key of this hotel’s services from the front desk to bellhop, housekeeping and security staff is sincerity.
Our eye contact and a smile with the hotel staff goes a very long way each time when strolling through the lobby, rooftop lounges and leisure amenities of The RIYAZ Lavanya Langkawi.
Thank you so much to their housekeeping staff, Mr. Ali’s hard work for taking such good care of my room, our room looks wonderful every day during our 5D4N (1-5 Feb) stays, is perfect.
A nod and a ”Good day, thank you” as we pass by the Gurkhas Security officers who are renowned for their incredible toughness, and acknowledges their presence and roles each time when we stepped out of the lobby and the main entrance. It is often seen as a premium, elite security measure, offering peace of mind to us, an elderly couple.
We were so impressed with the service and cleanliness that we will absolutely be returning customers.
AAnonymous UserThe location of this hotel is outstanding. It is right at the end of the beach, giving the feeling that the entire stretch of sand belongs to you. It is quiet, and ideal for relaxing, especially for families. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the prices are on the expensive side for what is offered overall.
Unfortunately, the hotel’s biggest weakness is its organisation and internal communication. Apparently different departments do not communicate well with one another. During check-in, there was a long queue at the reception despite five staff members being present, yet only two were actually assisting guests. As a result, we waited far longer than necessary. Only after I told them that they need to help each other out, did they start accelerating the check-in process.
A more serious issue occurred on our third day when the safe box in our room ran out of battery. I informed reception and was told someone would come shortly. After waiting 30 minutes, I called again, then waited another 15 minutes, and finally had to go to reception for the third time. In total, nearly two hours of our holiday were wasted waiting for a simple battery replacement.
The restaurant, however, was a clear exception. Mr Azizi deserves special mention for his professionalism and attentiveness. From the first day until the end of our stay, he regularly checked on us and genuinely tried to help. When I mentioned the safe box issue to him, he was the one who finally stepped in and made things happen. Thanks to his supervision, the restaurant ran smoothly and efficiently. BTW, it’s worth mentioning that breakfast is amazing, with a variety of delicacies.
Sadly, the same cannot be said for the beach bar. Orders were frequently forgotten, even after payment. Waiting 30–40 minutes for drinks and then being told they were simply forgotten was frustrating and disappointing.
Another sign of poor coordination was the bracelet policy. For the first two days, no one mentioned that guests were supposed to wear bracelets. From the third day onwards, security staff on the beach began checking and questioning us daily, which again points to a lack of communication at reception.
The room itself was decent. Due to the humid climate, there was a slight smell, which is quite common in this region and something we also experienced in Thailand, so this was not a major issue.
Overall, I can recommend this hotel for its excellent location and family-friendly atmosphere. However, considering the price and the ongoing organisational problems, I do not feel it offers good value for money. On a positive note, Grab makes it easy to get around, and the main hotspot area is only about 2-2.5 km away.

GGuest UserI admit this hotel is a bit old, so it's not as modern as newly built ones. But when you're in Langkawi, an island style just isn't going to be super modern. However, the hotel's environment and service are excellent. The restaurant and pool are right next to the beach, so having breakfast every day with a sea view is just amazing. The frangipani flowers, which are the hotel's namesake, are everywhere inside the hotel, along with many other beautiful plants and a variety of birds singing. I highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserRoom was ideal. Spacious. Good quality amenities. View of sea is there though a little obstructed. Fridge had a few drinks and a snack that was provided free of charge. Replenishment of these is chargeable. Breakfast was great. Cuisines for all tastes. My ONLY issue if you run out of there coffee and tea and want that replenished it is chargeable to the room. Minute walk to Pentai Chenai ***** which is full of food shops laundrette ect. Concierge very helpful. Muslim/non muslim friendly. Serves alcohol for those what wish to drink. There is a excursion booking table which was great. A lady names Lisa served us and was very helpful. Rates were good but still feel free to shop around. Highly recommend 4 hour island hopping jet ski trip. Our guide was Ayman at Cabana Sports. Woul 100% stay again.
