I had a very pleasant stay at Resort World Langkawi. The location is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, which makes it perfect for travellers who prefer a quieter and more relaxing environment.
The receptionists and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, and they were always willing to answer any questions I had during my stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
The hotel also provides free parking, which was very convenient since I had rented a car to explore the island. In terms of accessibility, the hotel is about 20 minutes from Langkawi International Airport and roughly a 10-minute drive to Pantai Cenang, making it easy to reach popular spots while still enjoying a peaceful stay.
One thing to note is that there is only a single mini mart within the hotel and the prices are a bit on the higher side. On my first morning, I ordered breakfast through Grab instead, which was still convenient since delivery services can reach the hotel easily.
The room floor had some visible stubborn stains and the hotel does not provide room slippers, so you may want to consider bringing your own if you prefer not to walk barefoot in the room.
Overall, it’s still a good option for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Langkawi, especially if you plan to drive around the island.
All just nice and view pool is awesome, only door bell sometimes keep ringing but nobody press, another room press door bell, room also ringing.....pliss fix it that all, overall good 👍
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful view, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Parking was very convenient and easily accessible for customers, which is a big plus. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and professional, always ready to assist with any questions.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The Pelangi Beach Resort in Langkawi is a beachfront resort.
From the main entrance, it's a bit of a walk to the lobby. The lobby itself has that distinct resort vibe, with a high ceiling adorned with several large, beautiful chandeliers.
It's open from front to back, so you can see the view from the other side directly from the entrance. This is where you check-in, request a golf buggy, and there's also a lobby bar in the middle.
Stepping out from the lobby, you'll find one of the infinity pools. Beyond the pool are kids' amenities, including a water slide, and then it's straight to the beach.
To the right are the guest accommodations, which are all individual wooden chalets. Some are single-story, while others are two stories high, with guests on both levels. No matter where you stay, you'll either face a lake or the pool, and the views are absolutely stunning.
In addition, there's another pool called the Caesar Pool. This one is quite unique, with a swim-up bar. You can swim right up to the bar and order drinks. Normally, swim-up bars charge to your room, but here they only accept credit cards or cash, which is a bit odd. Who carries a credit card or cash while swimming?
As I mentioned, the entire resort is made up of wooden chalets. We stayed in a family room, which had two beds – one double and one single – perfect for a family of three.
The room has a ceiling fan and a door leading out to a small private terrace. You can sit here and gaze at the sea. There are also two sun loungers outside, belonging to the chalet, where you can sunbathe, enjoy the breeze, and watch the ocean – it's incredibly relaxing.
The bathroom in the room is spacious, with a toilet, shower, and bathtub. At the end of the bathtub, there are louvered blinds that you can open to reveal a beautiful view, making for a very pleasant soak.
The entire resort feels very natural and rustic, with sun loungers dotted along the beach. There’s a peculiar type of tree that looks wild and wind-swept, like messy hair. There are also many coconut trees, and if you look closely, you'll notice that the trunks have been cut with notches, creating footholds for climbing. I assume this is because ripe coconuts often fall naturally here. I even saw a coconut on the path during a walk, so I imagine they have people climb up to harvest the nearly ripe ones to prevent them from hitting anyone.
Furthermore, the beach here faces southwest, offering spectacular sunsets. The resort's restaurants are famous internationally for this. There's also a beach where guests can swim. However, the restaurants are very open to nature, so there are a lot of seabirds; sometimes they'll even swoop down and snatch food from your plate while you're eating. There are also quite a few small insects, which you'll have to accept if you stay at the resort. But being so close to the sea, soaking up the sun and swimming is truly relaxing. While this hotel may not have the same prestige as the Four Seasons, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth recommending.

Online reviews mentioned that staying in Kuah Town would be quieter, but since it's surrounded by seafood restaurants and roads, there were still motorcycle noises around 11 PM or 12 AM. However, it didn't bother us late sleepers, and it quieted down even later. In comparison, Pantai Cenang, being by the sea, would be much quieter. The room felt like an older 4-star hotel. I stayed in a twin room the first night and a king room the second, and for 300, it was generally good value for money. There's an I-Bing bubble tea shop nearby with delicious taro milkshakes, and it's also very close to Wonderland. Parking is very convenient and free.
My wife and I recently stayed here and overall, we had an enjoyable experience. The room was reasonably priced and offered good value for money. We especially liked the cozy atmosphere, and the convenience of having parking right in front of the room made our stay even more comfortable.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. The air conditioning was directed straight towards the bed, which made it quite cold during the night. Basic amenities like a toothbrush were not provided, so it’s better to bring your own. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a bit slow.
Despite these minor issues, we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back again.

This is a beautiful resort with three swimming pools, including one specifically for children, and they provide plenty of balls and swimming rings. It's located on Cenang Beach and Central Beach, which boasts a long coastline perfect for swimming. There are many restaurants nearby, including one that's particularly delicious and serves generous portions. A convenience store and swimwear shop are just a ten-minute walk away. There's also a shopping mall about a thirty-minute walk, making it a very lively area with various travel agencies and car rental services. The hotel is very environmentally friendly, providing water in glass bottles.

Great
GGuest UserThe rooms are located on a private, secluded island, just a ten-minute boat ride from Langkawi's Cenang Jetty. There's an hourly boat service for transfers, and a dedicated meeting point at Cenang Jetty, which is very thoughtful. We booked a king-sized bed and paid an extra 110 per day, including breakfast, for a child's additional bed. We explored the island on our own and noticed some abandoned facilities that looked like they used to be part of another hotel. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel didn't offer a daily 8:30 AM guided trek for guests; you either walk by yourself or hire a guide for 120 MYR. If you walk alone, you're warned about an 800 MYR rescue fee if anything goes wrong. The name 'Trip.com' (携程) sounds enticing, but honestly, Langkawi's ecosystem is generally very good; I think Trip.com's descriptions might be a bit exaggerated. We followed old signposts to Red Rock Beach, where there's a cave, saw many pitcher plants and hornbills, and even met a French couple heading back. We had to turn back quickly ourselves, worried about the rising tide, as it was getting late. This beach, unfortunately, was quite littered, and even the private island didn't seem well-maintained.
The hotel grounds are like a garden with many monkeys; apparently, you can feed them peanuts at specific times. Staff often chase them away. The hotel's coastline isn't very long, and the water is crystal clear in the morning. There are corals but hardly any fish, though we saw many sea cucumbers and hermit crabs. Food on the island is definitely pricier than in Langkawi and not particularly tasty, just passable. There's a convenience store on the jetty where we even had an instant pizza. Hiking on the island was quite interesting; it took us over two hours round trip.
VVashti RoshneeWonderful service from all the staffs, the bar team at the pool, the FNB team from all restaurants, the team on the beach, from check in to our final night dinner at Pahn-Thai Restaurants to check out. Everything was amazing and everyone was so genuine and warm. Thank you for celebrating our anniversary. We will be back soon!
GGuest UserOur stay at Parkroyal Langkawi (Timeless Love By The Sea package) in Chenang was one of the highlights of our extended Malaysia trip.
We hadn’t originally planned to stay here. While walking the full length of the lively Chenang beach from our Airbnb, we wandered into the hotel grounds and were immediately impressed by the well-maintained facilities and beautiful beachfront.
What we thought was a private beach turned out to be wonderfully welcoming. We sat on the deck chairs, watched a couple enjoying a romantic beach dinner, and decided we wanted that experience too.
After checking the rates, we found the pricing reasonable for a family. We booked directly with the hotel for two nights in a Premier Ocean View King Room, followed by two nights in Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms via Trip.com.
The entire experience truly felt 5-star. We had read mixed reviews beforehand and went in with realistic expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised — almost everything exceeded what we anticipated.
Check-in & Service
On arrival, Hafeez handled our check-in smoothly. Since we were already on the island, we didn’t need the airport transfer, but we asked about using the return transfer for our whole family (including children arriving later). Concierge Saravannan went above and beyond by crediting the value of both transfers toward a larger 6-seater vehicle. We only needed a small Grab for the rest. This flexibility left a strong first impression.
The Room
Our Premier Ocean View Room (922) was excellent — stunning sea views, a large circular bathtub, an incredibly comfortable bed, and luxurious shower facilities. Minor signs of wear were easy to overlook. The room was high enough to avoid most pool and jet-ski noise, and we even enjoyed distant fireworks. The welcome chocolate pralines and sparkling wine were lovely touches.
Dining
The daily buffet breakfast was superb — a generous spread of Western and local dishes. We ate so well that lunch was rarely needed.
Our first dinner at Cassia was decent, especially the sweet-and-sour fish with its nice charred flavour, though the pasta portion was small. Direct booking gave us RM50 F&B credit per day, which added good value.
The undisputed highlight was our Candlelight Dinner on the lawn facing the beach. The beautifully decorated table made us feel like royalty. Service from Faheem, a 21-year-old staff member, was outstanding — attentive and proactive. A brief rain shower interrupted us after the first two courses, but the team quickly moved us into Lancava with the same setup. The food was excellent, especially the Sea Bass and Vongole pasta (flavourful clams with no fishy taste). The chef Mr Zul even came out personally to explain the dish.
We saved dessert for the Ocean View Lounge, where Izzat served us cake and complimentary coffee. The coordination across departments was impressive.
Second Stay & Family Time
For our second subsequent booking, the hotel prepared one of the Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms early. A porter moved all our luggage so we could relax comfortably. The kids loved the pool, organised activities, playground, and kids’ club. The Deluxe rooms were spacious, though the sliding door sensor was overly sensitive compared to our Premier room.
We enjoyed stepping out for affordable local food just across the street or into bustling Chenang. Breakfast was peaceful when we went early (7–8 am).
This is one of the most detailed reviews I’ve ever written, but Parkroyal Langkawi genuinely earned it. From the warm Malaysian hospitality and constant smiles to the thoughtful service touches, every staff member helped create wonderful memories. It was the perfect relaxing end to our Malaysia trip — money very well spent.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team!
GGuest UserIf you're traveling with kids, book a room by the pool. Just slide the glass door and you're right in the water. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of protein. Refill service is super fast. Even during busy season, the buffet stays well-stocked through breakfast. The beach has plenty of sun beds, and the spot itself is fantastic. That said, in my experience, the jet skis and other activities make the beach and nearby area feel more commercial than private. It’s not your typical huge resort with buggies and all-inclusive, but it’s perfect for a quick two-night stay, good breakfast, clean beach, and sunbathing.. Cenang Mall is about a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of small restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, when we stayed there, there was construction next door, so the views and noises weren’t ideal for a holiday.
GGuest UserThis hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.
JJess and familyOverall, a perfectly okay hotel. The good parts were the large apartment and the amenities the hotel offers. However, the hotel needs to improve its standards in many areas to live up to what it promises.
For example, the service at breakfast was a disaster. Every morning when you came down for breakfast, lots of food items were gone and they didn’t restock them until you got angry.
The apartment is large and offers all sorts of things, but when you actually try to use something like the TV in the bedroom or the oven, neither works.
When you try to order lunch or drinks offered at the pool area, many things are out of stock. Even something as simple as fruit or rice is unavailable.
The cleaning was okay but not perfect, as they often forgot to refill things like water in the room.
The location is okay; the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Penang Cenang, which is the center. However, we found it nicer to stay a bit away from Penang Cenang because it’s quieter.
As mentioned, a large hotel complex that also has regular residences that have bought apartments in the area, but there’s still a lot the hotel needs to work on.
SSharifah ZThe hotel and the surrounding is ok. Close and have access to beach. Unfortunately, room is quite small, and the tv has very poor signal. When i complained, the counter said, the issue was not faced by me, it was a common issue with all rooms, and the hotel is in the process to rectify it. I am.sure the issue is not new. How could they just close one eye. The breakfast is just ok, nothing extra. I had asked for late checkout (by 1 pm) and the hotel.said ok the night before. But around 11.45 am and 1230 pm, i received 2 separate calls asking me to check out. When i told them i was granted checkout until 1pm..they said thwy were not aware. Therw was no note. So the hotel has a lot to imrove.
The tv is not a smart tv also. So nothing u cam do. With no.channel, the only option was to turn it ofc

GGuest UserI admit this hotel is a bit old, so it's not as modern as newly built ones. But when you're in Langkawi, an island style just isn't going to be super modern. However, the hotel's environment and service are excellent. The restaurant and pool are right next to the beach, so having breakfast every day with a sea view is just amazing. The frangipani flowers, which are the hotel's namesake, are everywhere inside the hotel, along with many other beautiful plants and a variety of birds singing. I highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserRoom was ideal. Spacious. Good quality amenities. View of sea is there though a little obstructed. Fridge had a few drinks and a snack that was provided free of charge. Replenishment of these is chargeable. Breakfast was great. Cuisines for all tastes. My ONLY issue if you run out of there coffee and tea and want that replenished it is chargeable to the room. Minute walk to Pentai Chenai ***** which is full of food shops laundrette ect. Concierge very helpful. Muslim/non muslim friendly. Serves alcohol for those what wish to drink. There is a excursion booking table which was great. A lady names Lisa served us and was very helpful. Rates were good but still feel free to shop around. Highly recommend 4 hour island hopping jet ski trip. Our guide was Ayman at Cabana Sports. Woul 100% stay again.
