Arriving late at night in winter and being able to go straight to the hotel from the airport without stepping outside was incredibly convenient. It saved us from having to pack an extra set of clothes (which for a family of four is a lot! 😂). The other facilities were also great, meeting both the price and our expectations. A pleasant surprise was the wide variety of delivery food available, and the taste was super good! I'll definitely keep choosing this place in the future.
Here's a tip: If you've got a car parked at the hotel, don't be shy – just drive slowly towards the main gate and it will open automatically. 😂
One thing to note is that the underfloor heating is incredibly warm, very warm... Even among all the places we stayed during our two-week trip with central heating, theirs was the hottest. This made the air really dry. The humidifier provided was quite mini, so I'd suggest upgrading it. For someone from the south, this kind of dry heat is really hard to get used to. 😂 Lacking self-help solutions for this only adds to the hassle for both guests and staff. I truly hope the tourism industry in Xinjiang continues to thrive!
Upon check-in, we received complimentary souvenirs and milk tea. The room was very clean and hygienic. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to attractions, with a park right across the street. It's also within walking distance of the old town night market, where the evening performances are lively and plentiful. The hotel front desk staff were very friendly, and they even offer free airport shuttle service! Thumbs up!

Overall, the hotel experience was fantastic! 🎉 The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was super comfortable, especially the latex pillow which made for a really sound sleep. The electric curtains were a nice touch for convenience. The front desk also thoughtfully provided breakfast, which had a great variety and delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the local yogurt and dried fruits, they were very unique. Compared to guesthouses, chain hotels definitely have a much higher standard when it comes to cleanliness and facilities.
The building is high and impressive, with ample parking. The lobby is spacious, and the room is clean and very spacious! The toiletries are of good quality. The room has smart voice control, which I only just discovered requires voice control for the air conditioner, not a remote.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Grand Bazaar. Overall, my stay was comfortable, and the room layout was very practical. The front desk staff were warm and attentive during check-out, and the housekeeping lady kept the room spotless; she even greeted me warmly whenever we crossed paths in the hallway. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of delicious food, and the noodle station chef was genuinely friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Urumqi.
I stayed at this hotel with my dog. It's located in an old street with Xinjiang-style architecture. The room even had a long balcony, which was great for enjoying the view in the morning. There are also plenty of food options right next to the hotel.
The front desk staff was very kind. Even though she was a little scared of my dog, she still wanted to pet his head a lot.
I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Turpan with their pet!
Everything about this stay was good. I generally stick to Hilton among the major hotel brands because I find them quite reliable, and this particular property was no exception. However, there's one major flaw: they only have two washing machines. For a large hotel with hundreds of rooms, this is completely inadequate. Most other hotels I've stayed at typically offer four! As a result, you often have to wait in line to do your laundry.
This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! It's right in front of the snowy mountains and grasslands, an absolutely fantastic location super close to the scenic area. The room was clean, the details were thoughtfully taken care of, and the service was attentive and thorough. A perfect experience, highly recommend!
I didn't expect it to be off-season here during the National Day holiday. It's probably because the Duku Highway is closed, so the front desk upgraded us to a room with a view. The room facilities were very good; it's probably the best hotel near the scenic area. The butler, Xiao Pu, provided excellent service; he even brought breakfast to our room because it was cold. It would be even better if they upgraded the disposable slippers!

I usually expect a certain standard from Hyatt hotels, but this one was quite a letdown. Let's start with the positives: the design is great, and the staff were genuinely nice. They even gave me several drink vouchers due to an issue with my room. The coffee was decent, and impressively, they still honored my unused coffee vouchers two days later – that's a nice touch. However, good service isn't just about good attitudes, as I experienced firsthand.
Here are a few examples:
1) My reserved room wasn't available. They claimed to upgrade me to a suite (room 306?), but after waiting nearly an hour and a half, the 'suite' turned out to have only a narrow window squeezed between two buildings. Whether or not it was a genuine upgrade, they should have at least informed me about the room's specifics upfront.
2) I then moved to a room in building 6. It seemed freshly renovated. The small, broken window was one thing, but the smell was incredibly strong, and the bathroom had a terrible sewer odor. The combination of these smells was truly awful. I was in a hurry to get out, so I just put up with it, not wanting more hassle.
3) I turned on the humidifier, and when I returned, the room was enveloped in a dense mist. I actually thought something was burning... I have no idea why this happened; I've never encountered anything like it with humidifiers at home or in other hotels.
4) The electrical outlet on the right-hand bedside table was completely broken. Neither plugs nor charging cables would go in! This was ridiculous.
I'm usually quite lazy and rarely write such detailed reviews. I typically give five stars if a place is even remotely acceptable, but this experience was truly intolerable. I hope the hotel makes significant improvements. P.S. Kashgar itself is a lot of fun!

GGuest UserI was a little worried after reading some online reviews, but when I opened the room door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, and the wallpaper and murals were quite unique. Despite it being the off-season, the hotel service was still excellent. Breakfast was delivered to the room, and the selection was plentiful. The location is superb; the visitor center is just around the corner.

AAnonymous UserOverall, my experience was fantastic, but I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff – they were incredibly warm and welcoming!
From the moment I walked in to check-in, the lady at the front desk greeted me with a big smile and a very friendly tone. She even helped me out with a few small requests, which really made me feel right at home.
Apart from that, the hotel's facilities and environment were excellent too. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit and will happily recommend it to my friends!
GGuest UserI didn't have high hopes for this non-chain hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, the view was great, and the facilities were excellent, including a smart toilet and smart system. The wet and dry areas were separate, though the layout could be a bit more practical. The curtains were semi-automatic. The heating was quite strong, so much so that I had to open a window. There's also a self-service laundry room, perfect for those staying a bit longer for skiing or business trips. The only minor points were the limited breakfast variety and average taste, but I wouldn't call those downsides. Even though I only stayed one night, it left a lasting impression because it was the best accommodation of my entire trip to Altay 😂. Later, when I went skiing in Hemu, even a Holiday Inn costing over 4,000 yuan a night couldn't compare to this place. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience now. I hope the hotel continues its excellent work and gets even better; it will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Altay.
BBlade.around.the.worldAfter a pleasant stay at the Green Tree Eastern in Kashgar, I decided to try the Green Tree Eastern in Urumqi. First impressions were mixed: while the exterior and lobby are fairly underwhelming, the rooms themselves are noticeably better presented.
Check-in was quick and efficient, and both the receptionist and security staff were friendly and welcoming. My Ctrip booking included a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a superior room; however, this upgrade was neither provided nor acknowledged at check-in.
The hotel’s location is one of its stronger points. It is situated next to a Chinese shopping district and close to a metro station with direct airport access. That said, the hotel name is misleading—despite implying proximity to the Urumqi Grand Bazaar, the bazaar is actually one metro stop away or about a 30-minute walk.
The room itself was acceptable at first glance, but closer inspection revealed significant mold and holes near the bathroom wall. The room temperature remained uncomfortably cold at around 16°C, and the heating system did not appear to be functioning properly. The most serious issue occurred after taking a shower, when all of the drainage water leaked through the wall and completely flooded the room.
I immediately informed the front desk about the flooding and also mentioned the missing complimentary upgrade. Unfortunately, there was a translation misunderstanding, and the receptionist believed I was requesting an upgrade to a suite. Together with the security agent, we inspected the room, and they acknowledged both the flooding and the lack of heating. I was then upgraded to a suite, for which I am grateful—though I want to be clear that I never intended to demand a suite upgrade.
What truly surprised me was discovering that the same defective room was cleaned and reassigned to another guest that very evening, apparently without any repairs. It is difficult to understand how a hotel would reissue a room with such serious issues.
On a positive note, housekeeping staff were extremely kind and friendly. However, during our five-night stay, the bedsheets were never changed.
Overall, the Green Tree Eastern Urumqi is not a terrible hotel, but the experience was far from smooth and did not meet the standard set by the Green Tree Eastern property in Kashgar. With better maintenance, clearer communication, and improved housekeeping practices, this hotel could be much better.
SSeverusFacilities: The facilities are excellent.
Service: The ladies at the front desk were all wonderful. They even upgraded my room for free when I extended my stay, and the service was very attentive.
Cleanliness: The hygiene conditions were also great.
Environment: The room decor was very unique, and the lighting was just right, not too harsh. Plus, there are plenty of great places to eat downstairs.
SStAnastasiaMy friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage.
Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi.
One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns).
For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials.
Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!
BBeijingminsutuijianguanHighly recommend this hotel, it's very close to the Grand Bazaar.
Service: The service was incredibly warm and enthusiastic ❤️🔥
Cleanliness: Super clean! 👍
Environment: The decor is really nice, I love it.
Facilities: Smart home features throughout! 👍
The staff were wonderful; they even provided foot soak tubs for guests and helped with hot water. This is so thoughtful for out-of-town tourists.
GGuest UserWe stayed two nights in Altay City while skiing at the nearby resort, and the hotel was a great base for our trip. The rooms were clean with good heating — perfect after a cold day on the slopes. Parking was free and conveniently right in front of the hotel, which made everything easy. A comfortable and practical choice for anyone visiting the area.
CChaokeaidexiaofeiziThe room is very spacious, fully equipped, clean and tidy, and has an oxygen concentrator and humidifier. The front desk staff had a very good attitude and enthusiastically introduced the route and inquired about weather changes and other information. Breakfast was also good. Highly recommended. The parking lot is large and free. Next door is the famous Yipin Yak hotpot restaurant, which tastes very good.
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite large with new facilities. I especially liked that the vanity and shower room were separate. Plenty of hot water, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It's not far from the mosque, the old city, and Kashgar Old Town. We arrived quite late on our first day, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room, so we ended up extending our stay for another three nights.
