Toronto Must-see Attractions

Toronto is a vibrant Canadian metropolis boasting iconic landmarks such as the CN Tower, the natural splendor of Niagara Falls, the historic elegance of Casa Loma, the academic prestige of the University of Toronto, and the cultural richness of the Royal Ontario Museum.

Toronto Transportation

Toronto’s gateways link globally and locally—air, rail, bus, or road. Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ): Canada’s busiest hub, 25 km west in Mississauga, handles most international and domestic flights. Union Pearson (UP) Express trains reach Union Station in ~25 minutes for a moderate fare. TTC buses (e.g., 900 Airport Express) connect to subway lines; GO buses hit downtown hubs. Taxis, Uber, or Lyft offer direct rides—higher cost, book via app. . Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ): On Toronto Islands, ideal for short-haul flights (e.g., Montreal, Ottawa). A 90-second ferry or pedestrian tunnel links to downtown; free shuttles run to Union Station. Taxis or rideshares wait nearby—quick but busy. Free Wi-Fi and a small lounge keep waits comfy. Accessibility includes ramps and staff support. Union Station: Downtown’s rail and bus core. VIA Rail connects to Montreal (5 hrs), Ottawa (4 hrs); GO Transit serves suburbs like Mississauga. Amtrak ties to New York (~13 hrs). Long-distance buses (FlixBus, Megabus) arrive here or at nearby terminals. TTC subway’s inside—easy transfers.  By Car: Highways 401, 400, and QEW feed Toronto. Border crossings (e.g., Niagara, Buffalo) are ~1-2 hrs away—passports needed for U.S. entry. Parking downtown’s tight—use apps like Green P.

Toronto Where to Stay

The city's hotels are spread across various districts, each offering unique experiences and amenities to travelers.

Toronto Best Time to Visit

Toronto shifts with seasons—each brings a mood. Spring or fall suit quiet trips; summer’s for parties, winter’s for cozy vibes—pick your flavor. Spring warms parks with blooms—mild, less busy. Summer sizzles—Pride, Caribana, street fests draw crowds, sticky air. Fall cools—Toronto International Film Festival shines, trees glow red, walks calm. Winter chills—skating at Nathan Phillips Square, holiday markets sparkle, snow slows pace.

Toronto Travel Tips

1. Budget for Extra Costs A 13% tax tags onto everything—hotels, meals, transit—so expect higher totals than listed prices. Tips at restaurants and bars add more; plan your cash accordingly. 2. Pick Presto for Longer Stays A Presto card from TTC stations or Shoppers Drug Mart beats Visa/Apple Pay for multi-day trips—load it instantly for unlimited rides; contactless cards work but cost per tap. GO trains need Presto for distance fares—tap off too.  3. Book Sports and Shows Early Maple Leafs and Raptors games vanish fast—get tickets online when you commit; big theater like Mirvish books out months ahead. Rush seats might drop at 9 AM day-of, but it’s a gamble. 4. Walk or Skip Driving Downtown Downtown’s grid—CN Tower, Distillery District, waterfront—is best on foot; driving can be inconvenient with costly parking and streetcars blocking roads. Public transport, Uber or Lyft save the headache. 5. Time Key Spots for Mornings CN Tower, ROM, and Casa Loma fill up by noon—hit them at opening and book online to dodge crowds. Weekdays beat weekend chaos. 6. Layer Up for Winter Winters plunge to 20°F (-6°C)—snow’s a given, so pack heavy layers, boots, and gloves; summers hit 86°F (30°C), needing lighter gear. Storms swing in any season; an umbrella’s smart. 7. Reserve Dining Spots Hotspots like Alo or Pai—think Michelin-tier or buzzed-about—book up fast, so lock in a table via OpenTable or Resy weeks ahead. Casual places usually take walk-ins, though peak hours might mean a wait. Tip 15-20% via card terminals either way. 8. Mind Escalator Etiquette TTC escalators mean stand right, walk left—rush hour locals get upset if you clog the passing lane. Step quick in stations too. 9. Know Drinking Rules Drinking age is 19—bars and LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) stores ID anyone looking young; carry proof. Alcohol stays in licensed spots only, not streets. 10. Watch Streetcar Crossings Streetcars rule traffic—cross only at signals; runners might dart out even when doors shut. Flashing lights mean stop. 11. Bike with Bike Share Bike Share Toronto’s 9,000+ bikes at 800+ stations are handy—grab a day pass, but be careful in traffic, cars sometimes cut in. Spring or fall beat icy winters. 12. Avoid Fake Tickets Scalpers near arenas or theaters sell duds—stick to official ticketing apps or venue sites. Check tickets twice during big events. 13. Use PATH Underground PATH’s 30+ km of tunnels connect downtown—shops, food, and transit stay dry and warm under the streets. Entrances have maps; it’s a lifesaver in snow or rain.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
The night before disembarkation, affix luggage tags to all checked bags as instructed by the cruise operator and leave them at the marked zone outside your cabin. Do not pack items required for the next day such as daily wear, official documents and valuables into checked luggage. Retain your passport, room key and hand luggage with yourself. On disembark day, exit your cabin by the stated timing and proceed ashore in allocated groups per announcements. Avoid remaining inside the cabin. Inspect every drawer, closet and cabin safe thoroughly. Exact timings and baggage rules follow the cruise line’s Disembarkation Guide.

Onboard the Disney Cruise Line: A Magical Voyage at Sea

Onboard the Disney Cruise Line: A Magical Voyage at Sea

#cruiseholiday Sailing with Disney Cruise Line was a dream come true! From the moment we stepped onboard, the ship was bursting with magic—character meet-and-greets, themed dinners, and Broadway-style shows that wowed us every night. The staterooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the service was truly exceptional. I loved the adults-only areas for some quiet time, while the kids were completely entertained at the clubs. Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, was paradise with crystal-clear water and fun activities for all ages. Whether you're a Disney fan or just love relaxing, this cruise is pure joy from start to finish. Can’t wait to go again!

Dear friends, I just discovered an exclusive itinerary and I have to be the first to tell you!

Dear friends, I just discovered an exclusive itinerary and I have to be the first to tell you!

The Ritz-Carlton’s ultra-luxury yacht "Luminara" will sail directly from Hong Kong to Tokyo in March 2026, for 13 days and 12 nights. This is not an ordinary cruise ship; it’s a moving palace carrying only a few hundred guests. Imagine this: we board at sunrise in Victoria Harbour, staying in suites with panoramic terraces, with a private butler who has already prepared champagne. Every day, you wake up by the infinity pool to see the sea, and the butler even remembers how you like your coffee. It will take us to hidden islands that ordinary travelers can’t reach, hosting champagne parties on beaches open only to guests. The ship’s Michelin-starred chef’s restaurant changes its menu daily depending on the port. The best part is the spa facing the sea—this is the true meaning of "where the sea meets the sky." I’m so excited. It’s like a flowing feast—quiet, private, and every moment carefully attended to. In the spring of 2026, let’s completely indulge our time between the sea and the sky.

#springtravel Jinhae NFRDI Environment Eco-Park "For a break from the crowds, head to the Eco-Park near Yeojwacheon. In 2026, it’s a quiet sanctuary of ponds, weeping willows, and cherry trees. The reflections of the pink blossoms in the still water are beautiful. It’s where the locals go to have a quiet picnic. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the main stream but feels like a different world. It’s my favorite 'hidden' spot in the city."

Super Galaxy Cruise.

Super Galaxy Cruise.

I came to Bangkok for a date with my partner this time and booked a free experience tour. 🌌Super Galaxy Cruise🛳️ The entire experience was both romantic and packed with activities—it was such a steal! We spent the evening strolling around ICONSIAM and enjoying the river breeze before boarding at around 8:00 PM. We were blown away as soon as we stepped on board. The Super Galaxy Cruise is incredibly spacious, and the galaxy-themed lighting design is stylish with a futuristic vibe—perfect for photos! We enjoyed the 360-degree night view of the Chao Phraya River while feeling the cool breeze. Along the way, we passed the glowing Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and the Rama VIII Bridge. Those landmarks, illuminated against the night sky, were breathtakingly beautiful. Watching them with my partner was so romantic. The buffet dinner depends on personal taste, but the seafood was fresh. The grilled giant prawns and salmon sashimi were delicious, and there were unlimited drinks. A live band played great music, and there were wonderful traditional Thai dances and cabaret shows in between. The atmosphere throughout the two-and-a-half-hour cruise was fantastic—there was never a dull moment! With stunning views, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere, it was truly an unforgettable romantic night for two.

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃
