We had a wonderful time at the Disney Cruise Adventure Singapore! We booked through trip.com and it was quite straightforward. The prices were good, but we did find an even lower price for a better room type closer to the cruise sailing date which we were no longer able to cancel. Nonetheless, the cruise experience was wonderful.

First time and have a really great experience. Balcony room size is okay and acceptable. If it is only 1 night and plan to explore cruise, maybe no need balcony room, but first time okay. The toilet is big and didnt expect this. Dinner at Blue Lagoon is great and big portion. Breakfast at the Lido many variations. Lunch at Dream Dining is okay and acceptable. Not enough time to explore everything so next plan to stay longer. Overall, great experience and love to back again if can get good price. I am curious, is there a connecting room at Genting Dream?

First time taking star voyage. The embarkation process was smooth and fast, and the food was great (comparable to Dream Cruise). However, the soundproofing in my room was not very good, as I could hear noises from the neighbouring room and may be due to the location of my room cabin. The shows and entertainment wise is ok as per expected. Overall 4.2/5.0

Singapore Local Travel Guide

Singapore Brief Guide

Singapore is Southeast Asia's sleek city-state, where glass towers reflect futuristic flower domes. Stroll its lush urban parks, explore the vibrant districts, and treat yourself to world-famous street food at the city's renowned hawker centers. Follow our guide to uncover everything Singapore has to offer.

Singapore Must-try local experiences

1. Futuristic Garden Strolls Stroll Gardens by the Bay—Supertree Grove looms like sci-fi sentinels, Cloud Forest mists a green retreat, and Flower Dome dazzles with blooms. Hit the free Garden Rhapsody light show at night—lights dance for your lens. It’s Singapore’s futuristic playground, begging for a snapshot. 2. Cultural Hubs of Heritage Dive into Chinatown’s bustling stalls, Little India’s spice-scented lanes, and Kampong Glam’s artsy buzz. Temples like Sri Mariamman gleam with history, while hawker bites pack flavor. Singapore’s old soul meets new spark here—roam these heritage hubs for a cultural jolt. 3. Wildlife Encounters Explore Singapore Zoo—lions and pandas roam lush habitats up close. Then strike out on the Night Safari at dusk—owls and tigers prowl under moonlight. It’s Singapore’s wild side unleashed, daring you to peek at nature’s night shift. 4. Peranakan Traditions Uncover Peranakan roots at the Asian Civilisations Museum—artifacts spill old tales. Then roam Joo Chiat’s vibrant shophouses—laksa steams and kueh tempts in Katong’s lanes. It’s Singapore’s fusion past, painted bold and served spicy—dig into this cultural mashup. 5. Festival Fever Plan for Chinese New Year (Jan/Feb)—lanterns glow and dragons dance. Deepavali (Oct/Nov) sparkles with lights, or Hari Raya Puasa (varies) hums with feasts. Streets turn festive with stalls—check local calendars. Singapore’s party pulse hits hard during its many festivals. 6. Foodie Haunts at Hawker Centres Savor Hainanese chicken rice, chili crab, or satay at a hawker centre—flavors pop bold and cheap. Stalls sling steamy, no-fuss bites that sing Singapore’s soul. Forget fancy—this is real, loud, and tasty. Grab a plate, join the buzz, and dig into the city’s food heart. 7. Shopping Sprees Strike Orchard Road’s shiny malls—ION Orchard drips luxury, while 313@somerset keeps it wallet-friendly. From high-end bags to bargain tees, this strip’s a retail sprint. Comfy shoes are your MVP—Singapore’s shopping scene demands stamina. 8. Street Market Treasures Chase deals at Bugis Street Market—souvenirs and snacks pile high. Then saunter down Haji Lane—indie shops and murals beg for photos. Singapore’s street vibe flips from loud to artsy fast—snap some unique finds and show them off. 9. Iconic Waterfront Shots Grab your shot with the Merlion at Merlion Park—Singapore’s half-lion, half-fish symbol since 1972. Marina Bay’s skyline looms behind, framing a classic view—water flows as shutters snap. It’s the city’s photo must-have; strike a pose where heritage meets modern might. 10. Riverfront Cruises Ride a bumboat along the Singapore River—Clarke Quay’s bars wink, Boat Quay’s shophouses charm, and Marina Bay’s lights dazzle. It’s a lazy glide through the city’s heart—Singapore’s past and present float by in style. 11. Old-School Island Rides Pedal Pulau Ubin—a short bumboat from Changi Point Ferry Terminal lands you in old Singapore. Kampong huts, quarries, and jungle trails ditch the urban buzz. Pack water and snacks—cheeky monkeys might swipe a bite. It’s a rustic escape worth the ride. 12. Local Coffee Breaks Seek a kopitiam in an HDB estate—think strong coffee, kaya toast, and soft eggs at a no-frills stall. Tucked in heartland hubs like Bedok or Jurong, these spots buzz with Singlish and morning clatter. Hit one early for Singapore’s real-deal breakfast—authentic, loud, and cheap as chips. 13. Skyline Sunset Views Hike to Henderson Waves—its curvy bridge in the Southern Ridges frames city and harbor sunsets like a pro. Pair it with a canopy trail—views soar, bugs bite. Bring spray and catch Singapore’s skyline fading to gold; it’s a high perch worth the sweat.

Singapore Must-see Attractions

Singapore blends glossy modernity with pockets of charm, and its top attractions deliver for every kind of traveler—whether you’re after thrills, chill, or jaw-dropping views. Here’s where to point your map.

Singapore Food Guide

Singapore’s food is a love letter to its cultures—hawker stalls and high-end spots dish out flavors you won’t forget. Here’s six must-eats to hunt down, straight from the streets to your plate.

Singapore Transportation

Changi Airport World-class and 20km east of downtown, it’s your main entry. Grab the MRT (East-West Line, about 40 mins), a taxi, or a bus (36 or 24) to the city. Bonus: free WiFi and Jewel’s rainforest vibe kill layover time. HarbourFront Passenger Terminal Near HarbourFront MRT, this handles regional ferries and smaller cruises. Hop the MRT (Northeast Line, 10 mins to Chinatown), a taxi, or walk to Sentosa. Marina Bay Cruise Centre (MBCCS) South of the city, it’s for mega-ships. 30 mins from Changi by car.

Singapore Where to Stay

Singapore’s got a bed for every budget and vibe, from glitzy high-rises to beachside escapes. The trick is picking a spot that fits your trip—whether you’re here to shop, sightsee, or just soak up the scene. Here’s the lowdown on three key areas to choose from.

Singapore Best Time to Visit

February-April wins—less rain, lower humidity, sunny vibes for parks and beaches. March is peak comfy, but “dry” is relative—quick showers still hit. Nov-Jan’s wetter, Jun-Aug’s hotter. Pick your favorite; it’s never cold.

Singapore Travel Tips

1. Book Ahead for the Big Hits (and Time It Right) Snag tickets online for crowd-pullers like Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios, or Night Safari—queues can stretch long, especially on weekends or school holidays. Pro tip: aim for weekday mornings at Universal or late afternoons at the Night Safari to dodge the peak crush. 2. Eat Smart at Hawker Centres Hawker food is a must, but stick to stalls with an ‘A’ or ‘B’ hygiene rating (look for the little sign). These spots are gold—clean, legit, and checked regularly by inspectors. Bonus: if the line’s long with locals, it’s probably worth the wait. 3. Know the Drone Rules Before You Fly Dreaming of aerial shots? Drones over 7kg need registering with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS), and tons of spots—like Marina Bay or near Changi Airport—are strict no-fly zones. Check the CAAS website or OneMap.sg for the latest map before you buzz off, or risk a hefty fine. 4. Don’t Even Think About Littering Singapore’s squeaky-clean streets come with a catch: drop a wrapper, and you’re looking at a hefty fine. Repeat offenders might end up sweeping sidewalks in a neon vest. Keep it tidy—bins are everywhere for a reason. 5. Mind the Alcohol Clock No sipping in public after 10:30 PM—and, that includes your rooftop selfie with a beer. Shops stop selling takeaway alcohol then too, and even bars have last-call rules. Plan your nightcap early, or stick to licensed establishments before the cutoff. 6. Master the MRT Like a Local The metro’s a breeze—grab an EZ-Link card (S$5 at any station) and tap your way around. Avoid rush hour (7-9 AM, 5-7 PM) unless you’re cool with squeezing in. Bonus: escalators move fast, so stand right, walk left, or expect some side-eye. 7. Beat the Heat with a Slick Trick It’s sticky out there—think 32°C (90°F) with humidity that soaks your shirt. Pop into any 7-Eleven for a cheap Slurpee or iced Milo. Locals swear by it, and it’s cheaper than fancy cafés. Wear light clothes and carry a small towel too. 8. Haggle (Politely) at Markets At Bugis Street or Tekka Centre, prices aren’t always fixed. Flash a smile, ask “got discount lah?” in a friendly tone, and you might shave off a few bucks. Don’t push too hard though—Singaporeans like a polite bargain, not a showdown.

Singapore Useful Guide

Singapore’s multilingual society uses English as the primary language, alongside Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil as official languages. English: The lingua franca, used in business, signage, menus, and tourist areas. Most locals are fluent, ensuring seamless interactions.  Singlish: A colloquial blend of English with local slang (e.g., “lah” for emphasis, “sia” for surprise). Not essential, but fun to recognize. Example: “Can lah” (It’s okay). Locals appreciate playful attempts at Singlish in casual settings, such as food stalls.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
The night before disembarkation, affix luggage tags to all checked bags as instructed by the cruise operator and leave them at the marked zone outside your cabin. Do not pack items required for the next day such as daily wear, official documents and valuables into checked luggage. Retain your passport, room key and hand luggage with yourself. On disembark day, exit your cabin by the stated timing and proceed ashore in allocated groups per announcements. Avoid remaining inside the cabin. Inspect every drawer, closet and cabin safe thoroughly. Exact timings and baggage rules follow the cruise line’s Disembarkation Guide.

Onboard the Disney Cruise Line: A Magical Voyage at Sea

Onboard the Disney Cruise Line: A Magical Voyage at Sea

#cruiseholiday Sailing with Disney Cruise Line was a dream come true! From the moment we stepped onboard, the ship was bursting with magic—character meet-and-greets, themed dinners, and Broadway-style shows that wowed us every night. The staterooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the service was truly exceptional. I loved the adults-only areas for some quiet time, while the kids were completely entertained at the clubs. Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, was paradise with crystal-clear water and fun activities for all ages. Whether you're a Disney fan or just love relaxing, this cruise is pure joy from start to finish. Can’t wait to go again!

Dear friends, I just discovered an exclusive itinerary and I have to be the first to tell you!

Dear friends, I just discovered an exclusive itinerary and I have to be the first to tell you!

The Ritz-Carlton’s ultra-luxury yacht "Luminara" will sail directly from Hong Kong to Tokyo in March 2026, for 13 days and 12 nights. This is not an ordinary cruise ship; it’s a moving palace carrying only a few hundred guests. Imagine this: we board at sunrise in Victoria Harbour, staying in suites with panoramic terraces, with a private butler who has already prepared champagne. Every day, you wake up by the infinity pool to see the sea, and the butler even remembers how you like your coffee. It will take us to hidden islands that ordinary travelers can’t reach, hosting champagne parties on beaches open only to guests. The ship’s Michelin-starred chef’s restaurant changes its menu daily depending on the port. The best part is the spa facing the sea—this is the true meaning of "where the sea meets the sky." I’m so excited. It’s like a flowing feast—quiet, private, and every moment carefully attended to. In the spring of 2026, let’s completely indulge our time between the sea and the sky.

🇸🇬 Six Days, Five Nights Family Cruise Travel Guide

Honestly, this has been the most worry-free trip I’ve ever taken with kids. No need to do detailed research, no language barriers to worry about, no huge expenses, and still plenty of food and fun. Cruises are truly an ideal way to travel abroad with kids for the first time! Everyone can enjoy the joy of traveling on board. We started our journey with the Genting Dream cruise, which offers full one-stop service. Everything you need for food and fun is right there—you don’t need to plan anything in advance. 😎 Besides the water park, there are also free activities such as the Little Explorers kids’ club, mini golf, basketball courts, rock climbing, indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis, and more. Plus, you can enjoy a super🔥 Korean-style K-pop show and endless tropical fruit parties. On the cruise, every day is filled with music, food, and stunning views! #gentingdream #cruise #singaporecrusie #cruisefun #familytrip #travel #cruiselife

#springtravel Jinhae NFRDI Environment Eco-Park "For a break from the crowds, head to the Eco-Park near Yeojwacheon. In 2026, it’s a quiet sanctuary of ponds, weeping willows, and cherry trees. The reflections of the pink blossoms in the still water are beautiful. It’s where the locals go to have a quiet picnic. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the main stream but feels like a different world. It’s my favorite 'hidden' spot in the city."

Super Galaxy Cruise.

Super Galaxy Cruise.

I came to Bangkok for a date with my partner this time and booked a free experience tour. 🌌Super Galaxy Cruise🛳️ The entire experience was both romantic and packed with activities—it was such a steal! We spent the evening strolling around ICONSIAM and enjoying the river breeze before boarding at around 8:00 PM. We were blown away as soon as we stepped on board. The Super Galaxy Cruise is incredibly spacious, and the galaxy-themed lighting design is stylish with a futuristic vibe—perfect for photos! We enjoyed the 360-degree night view of the Chao Phraya River while feeling the cool breeze. Along the way, we passed the glowing Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and the Rama VIII Bridge. Those landmarks, illuminated against the night sky, were breathtakingly beautiful. Watching them with my partner was so romantic. The buffet dinner depends on personal taste, but the seafood was fresh. The grilled giant prawns and salmon sashimi were delicious, and there were unlimited drinks. A live band played great music, and there were wonderful traditional Thai dances and cabaret shows in between. The atmosphere throughout the two-and-a-half-hour cruise was fantastic—there was never a dull moment! With stunning views, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere, it was truly an unforgettable romantic night for two.

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃
