The room was fairly clean.
The fixed shower head unit was damaged, and the shower head could not be fixed, and it was not repaired promptly. Small cockroaches appeared in the room at night. When I went out after 10:00 AM, a ”Please Clean Immediately” sign was hanging on the doorknob, but when I returned to the hotel at 5:00 PM, the room still hadn't been cleaned.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is very close to the beach, the wind is quite strong, the service is good, water is delivered to the room proactively, the facilities are quite complete, the hotel is a bit old, but everything else is good.

Ana Telo MexiaIt was an amazing overall experience. Not enough time to experience everything, like restaurant Raiva, the Spa, exploring the surrounding trails and explore the river by boat.
The rooms are incredible, as the breakfast. The architecture and the landscape surroundings are breathtaking.
The staff was very friendly and nice.
Regarding the breakfast, I was a little disappointed that in our last day, the croissants had ran out and the few last were a little dry compared with the ones we ate in the previous day.
Also the outdoor swimming pools were amazing, although the hotel doesn't have enough sun loungers when it's full.
Unfortunately we take a boat ride, as the the rates are scandalous overpriced.
In the end we enjoyed a lot the experience and would love to come back.

All perfect, cleaning, facilities and, above all, the staff of the hotel, a 10 for them. For putting a but, the variety of buffet, could be wider. The bed was very comfortable and, the large and clean room. Thanks for everything.

Guest User+Pos:
Friendly and patient staff.
Free temporary luggage storage.
Decent room size.
50/50:
Facilities and room bed in general seems clean, BUT the toilet often has a slight sewage smell. Not sure which part exactly it came from, annoying when you want to take a good bath or a nice sht.
-Cons:
It named ”hotel and spa”, offering a good variety of facilities BUT note that most of them charge separately (not included in room fee).

A grand hotel in the old style. It was undergoing significant renovation while I stayed, so they're clearly making an effort to remain competitive. Staff was courteous and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was tasty and filling at a good price. All in all an excellent value. My only complaint is the strong musty odor in my room. Fortunately the weather was good so I could open the windows wide, but the hotel really needs to eliminate the source of the smell.
I didn't know before visiting Luso that it's famous for the quality of its water. The photo show the spouts in the center of town where locals come to fill their containers.

Hotel Jardim is centrally located and within walking distance of most things. The room I was in was very clean and had aircon etc. It was not far off from needing refurbished, but the bed was comfortable and I slept well.
I never used the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. The pastry shop mentioned on other reviews is exceptional and is great value for money. I went there for breakfast and was not disappointed.
Would I go back to Hotel Jardim..... Yes
Parking is in the bays at the front of the hotel and on one side of street on which the hotel sits on.

If someone is looking for a non-commercial place, but at the same time warm, friendly and naturally composed, then this is a 100% sure choice: without the advantage of form over substance, excellent cuisine (I recommend buying the HB option, it's worth it!), very friendly staff, no crowds and full harmony with the surrounding nature. The location on the lagoon itself adds an additional touch of nature. Away from the hustle and bustle, without rushing. You may get the impression that time slows down here a bit, or maybe it flows differently?
