We are a family of 5 adults visiting Melaka for my mom's 96th birthday celebration with her family and friends living n Melaka. We had the family suite - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. *Reception lobby has an overwhelming smell that is disgusting. *Bathrooms: the tiles in the bathroom are moldy and falling apart with makeshift patchu. Bath towels had a funny smell and had seen better days. We had no choice but to replace the while towels with the blue-striped pool towels. * Kitchen - a skeleton setup with sink, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Basic amenities like one would expect in a kitchen such as stovetop, dish washing liquid, kitchen hand towels, crockery and utensils are missing. The microwave is filthy. We have to use the white hand towels that guests would normally use in the bathroom to dry our hands in the kitchen. We had to request room service to clean the filthy microwave, provide plates and utensils for us to eat out take-out food, along with dish washing liquid to wash our dirty dishes. Pictures speak a thousand words. Hotel is connected to a Mall - Shore that is deserted. Foot traffic is at its all time low. Mall is dimly lit ... a HUGE contrast to AEON. I would not recommend this hotel. Sorry.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right outside are two major shopping malls, Heroes Square and Parkson Mall. Just across the road are St. Santiago's Old Fort and the ruins of St. Paul's Church. Jonker Street and the Dutch Square are only about a 10-minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and dining options around the hotel. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the doorman and front desk staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's highlights include an infinity pool, sauna, gym, and game room, so even if you're tired from sightseeing, you can easily spend a whole day relaxing at the hotel.

Nice stay overall, however there were a couple of areas that disappointed us. Breakfast used Buttercup margarine instead of butter. I understand some guests may prefer it, but it was really not to my taste. We requested two additional bottles of water, and the next day asked for another two. We were told we had already “claimed” our allocation and would need to pay for more. We were asking for a normal amount, not excessive quantities. These small issues affected the experience, and unfortunately we may consider other options for our next stay.

The Room & Amenities The room itself was spacious and featured a balcony, which was a nice touch. However, the amenities are very basic and ”no-frills.” Regarding service, don't expect much. We noticed housekeeping cleaning the room next door, but they never checked in to see if we needed anything. It seems housekeeping is strictly upon request or non-existent for short stays. The Elevator Crisis (The Dealbreaker) The biggest issue here is the infrastructure. There are only 4 lifts to service 41 floors, which is mathematically impossible during busy periods. • Wait Times: We waited nearly 35 minutes just to get to the ground floor or carpar. • Check-out: We tried to beat the rush by leaving early, and it still took over 40 minutes to get a lift that wasn't full. • Management Issues: To make matters worse, 2 of the 4 lifts were being operated manually, meaning they rarely stopped at middle floors like ours (Level 21). We were essentially trapped while lifts passed us by already full. Final Verdict If you are staying here, be prepared to factor in an extra hour just for vertical travel. There is a Sky Deck that likely adds to the traffic, making the wait times unbearable. Due to the poor lift-to-guest ratio, I won't be returning. It’s simply not worth the frustration.

Enjoyed our stay at Baba House. The hotel has a unique charm and is well maintained, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. Its location is very convenient, as it is close to Jonker Walk, which made it easy for us to explore nearby attractions, food spots, and shops without much travel. The rooms were clean and pleasant, adding to a positive overall experience. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would consider returning in the future.

This guesthouse was absolutely amazing! It was the quickest booking I made for my trip. I was a bit skeptical at first, as the details page showed it looked really new and quite luxurious, but the price was within my budget, so I decided quickly. The price included the tourist tax, but they required a 100 MYR deposit upon check-in (I prepared cash because they said credit card refunds take a long time to process). So, if you're planning to stay, it's best to prepare cash beforehand, as many hotels in Malaysia seem to require a deposit (cash is also more convenient for taxis). Honestly, it turned out to be the biggest and most luxurious accommodation of my entire trip (including Singapore). It's a shame I only stayed one night. It's located within a high-end apartment complex with a gym and pool, which I sadly didn't get to use. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all amenities – superb! The staff's attitude was decent. Trip.com mentioned a potential charge for 'famous historical sites,' but we weren't charged, probably because we weren't staying at one. Plus, there are several restaurants downstairs, and I highly recommend the 'Hao Shi Noodle House' – it's affordable and delicious. For anyone traveling to Malacca, I genuinely recommend this place. For around 280 MYR, I feel like it could even be cheaper during the off-season, haha.

Pros: Two main advantages – ample parking and close proximity to Jonker Street. Cons: The hotel's beds and pillows are very old; the bed was too soft, and I didn't get good rest. The sheets and duvet are also outdated and definitely need replacing. The carpet had an odor. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast; it felt like no effort was put in. The fruit was sour, the baked beans had an odd smell, and the rice seemed like it was from the day before. I had to spend extra money to take my kids out for breakfast.

This hotel just opened this year, and the lobby is very grand and beautiful. The room is also comfortable and spacious 👍. The hotel is right by the sea. We stayed on a high floor with a balcony, and the morning view was stunning. The staff were also very helpful, enthusiastic, and always smiling. FFaizzul ImanI stayed at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka, Room 0059, from 8/2/2026 to 9/2/2026. The room itself was good, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool is huge and very family-friendly. The food selection was generally good with a decent variety. However, the major letdown was the electricity issue, which seriously affected our stay. Our room and block experienced a blackout for a few minutes at night. Worse, while we were sleeping, the electricity kept tripping 3–4 times. Each time this happened, the air-conditioning turned off. My children were sleeping and woke up sweating due to the heat. This was very uncomfortable and unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Other issues: • The prayer mat provided in the room had a bad smell and clearly needed to be washed or replaced. • During breakfast, the putu mayam was served with grated coconut that had turned sour. • During checkout, the lobby was extremely crowded with a large group of people standing around. It felt very congested and uncomfortable, especially with families and children trying to move around. Overall, the hotel has good facilities and strong potential, but the repeated electricity disruptions and poor crowd management during checkout need urgent improvement to ensure guest comfort.

GGuest UserBooked the junior suite with 2bedrooms and extended for another night. Room is extremely spacious and nicely decor. Front desk staffs were friendly and courteous. Hotel is well located with lots of eateries and shopping within short walk. Only bad experience is with all the 3 TVs in the room. Unable to watch on any channels due to no signal. No TVs for 2 nights stay. Everything else was good.

MMuhd FirdausOur stay at Puteri Bay Melaka was great 👍🏼 The location was great because we are able to have a good view of the beach, and it was near food places. The hotel reception and staff were also kind and helpful. Food selection for breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and had a good sleep 👍🏼👍🏼 The downside was that the toilet was not totally clean as there were strands of hairs sticking out from under the bed. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided in the room, and the prayer mat had an odour. Generally, the stay was good although maybe staff need to ensure the room cleanliness and smell abit more? I would still recommend the hotel for the comfortable beds and nice view and location beside the waterfront 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

AAnonymous UserBase on the price is acceptable! Overall is ok, location is not too far away from town, then get cheaper price than town. Room is ok, air cool ok, shampoo and shower gel to be improved better quality . Book with breakfast, because not familiar there, disappointed that no have coffee machine, just coffee pack with hot water only, suggest the hotel need to investments the coffee machine for more choice, Coffee is important for breakfast . Food need to improve, must keep warm not just put food inside, then no keep warm, you can see from photos. Maybe you need to put a microwave for guest to do heat up themselves. A good thing is you have “ white porridges “ which was hot The staffs are no check spoon and forks, need to improve and re-training!
