Hotels With breakfast in Vaavu Atoll, Maldives

Right after leaving, we already started missing Royal. We stayed here for 4 nights, and then moved to another resort island. Both the elderly and the kids in our family said they preferred Fulidhoo and Royal more. The island has a very authentic, local vibe. Although the rooms aren't huge, they have everything you need. You can dry clothes on the top floor. The excursions offered here are much cheaper than those on the resort islands. The front desk staff are very friendly, and the pizza at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

Our room comfortably accommodated two adults and two children, although there was an additional charge for the kids. The hotel service was excellent. Even though our children weren't paying for meals, they were still given very generous portions and were made to feel included at mealtimes. The hotel's food is genuinely delicious, ranking among the best on the island. The à la carte options were also great, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!

My 7th stay at Plumeria Maldives… and I still can’t get enough! 💙🇲🇻 This is my 7th time at this hotel, and every time I come here with my friends or my family, I fall in love with it all over again. This time was especially unforgettable. My daughter and I completed our Advanced Open Water Diving Course, exploring not only different dive sites around the atoll, but also spending plenty of time discovering the incredible underwater world right here at our house reef. 🤿💙 And honestly, the house reef at Plumeria is something truly special. You can see almost the same incredible diversity of marine life here as you would at some of the most famous dive sites. Nurse sharks, reef sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, turtles, tuna, huge schools of fish, octopuses — and so much more. Every dive can turn into a completely unexpected adventure. 🌊🐢🦈 Of course, during this trip we also explored other amazing dive sites, where we encountered even more sharks, rays and huge schools of eagle rays. But knowing that such an incredible underwater world is waiting for you right in front of the hotel makes Plumeria truly special. And the excursions… just WOW! Whale sharks, leopard sharks, manta rays, dolphins, sandbank trips, full-day snorkeling, and trips to an uninhabited island with lunch. We even went twice this time! 😍 There is something very special about this place. It’s no longer just a hotel for us. The staff have become people we know, love and look forward to seeing again. ❤️ We’ve already booked our tickets for May — and we couldn’t be happier! At this point, I can officially say that Plumeria Maldives is my second Maldivian home, and its wonderful team is my second Maldivian family. 🏝️💙 See you in May! 🇲🇻 We’re already counting the days… ✈️🌊🐢

We were picked up at the Velana airport after an overnight stay at the local island, with transfer fee of $40 USD per person to take the speedboat to Fulidhoo, where Kinan Retreat is at. After alighting from the jetty at Fulidhoo, it's a short 5 mins walk to the Retreat. Welcome drinks and hot hand towels were offered. We missed the morning excursion trip but decided to go for it the next day. The room provided can have an extra bed for $15 USD. Fulidhoo is a small local island but it's the favorite hangout for stingrays and nurse sharks. You will be able to spot these lovely creatures around the shore, especially near evening time when there are people who start feeding them. You will be able to get up close and even touch them, but with caution. We went on an evening fishing trip that cost $45 USD per person, inclusive of a BBQ dinner for the dishes that were caught. On the next day before leaving for our resort island stay, we took the excursion trip to see dolphins, snorkeling with nurse sharks at SharkPoint and went turtle spotting, all these for $40 USD per person. Underwater videos were captured and shared by WhatsApp. Great service by the counter lady Shahidah. I will recommend this Retreat to visitors, and you will not be disappointed with the time spent on the island.

Room: Very spacious. The master bathroom has a separate shower and a bathtub, which is very comfortable. The bed on the second floor faces the sea directly, offering an open view. The sofa bed on the first floor is also of good quality, perfect for kids. We didn't use the pool much, preferring to go directly into the sea to play. Island environment: Simple and beautiful, with lots of pretty fish. Dining: The main restaurant serves good food, and the menu changes daily. You can also pay extra to dine at a smaller, more refined restaurant with fewer people. Activities: The three-point snorkeling (sharks, dolphins, turtles) and sunset fishing were both excellent. The guides were very professional and took great care of every guest. You can borrow masks and fins to snorkel independently at the hotel, and there are many beautiful fish to see. Service: Very warm and attentive.

We moved from the beach villa to our overwater jacuzzi water villa with ease Upon reaching the room, we loved the view where you'll be able to see sunrise on the left side and the sunset on the right of it. Tried out the jacuzzi pool, swam around our overwater villa throughout the afternoon. We brought bread from the meals and fed the fishes that were always around the villa. During low tide, you could even stand in the water under the overwater villa with fishes swimming around you, all the time. Once in a while, you may see a solo nurse shark swim nearby. The pictures taken are so Instagram-able . Really enjoyed our stay at this resort. After meals, will play at the pool table, air hockey, play darts and table futsal. My son also paid a visit to the gym. There is an Ameera Spa just behind the main dining hall.

The island selection was very successful. In addition to the speedboat being a little far away (acceptable for more than an hour), there is also a seaplane option. The service response, accommodation hardware and snorkeling environment are all great. There are no mosquitoes on the island, and the water houses are even more comfortable and great. The sun set water house is closer to the trench and more suitable for snorkeling. The other water houses have more beautiful sea water colors, and the sand houses look very good. There is not much publicity, and even if the occupancy rate is relatively high, it is still very quiet. The island is not too big or too small, and it is not very tiring to walk and the sea water is beautiful. It is not hot for several days. Everything feels great. The breakfast can be changed more every day! I will come again in the future! The atmosphere of the water house is also good at night, not scary at all

We noticed an unpleasant odor in the reception area upon arrival. Additionally, there were items such as fish and boiled spaghetti left at the front desk, which gave an untidy impression. Overall, the reception area and guest house did not appear to meet expected standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

A great option for a reasonable price. The staff was very helpful, helped us book a boat for our group, and spent a whole month helping us with everything before organizing the trip. The room was clean and nice. For the price, I can't fault it. I highly recommend booking.

По прибытии нас встретил сотрудник отеля и помог донести наши чемоданы до номера. В отеле нам дали приветственный напиток и холодные полотенца. В номере все показали и рассказали и проводили нас на пляж. В номере было чисто и у нас уборка была каждый день. Завтраки и ужины у нас были в формате шведского стола, но еда очень вкусная. На пляже плавали с маской и трубкой и видели много красивых рыбок, а на берегу крабиков. При выселении помогли организовать трансфер до следующего острова.
