Great
AAnne-Marie BoyeldieuLOCATION Excellent location. In the immediate vicinity of the market, and a few blocks' walk from 82nd/84th and 27th Streets, where you'll find street food for dinner. The OK Express minibus company (for Bagan, among other destinations) is a 5-minute walk away. Palace and pagodas are easily accessible by bicycle. SERVICE Excellent welcome, despite arriving at dawn. Excellent customer service. They provide a lot of advice. Excellent work by the housekeeping teams in the rooms and the restaurant. Excellent attention from the night watchmen. The sign at the entrance sums it all up: ”It's not a hotel, it's your home.” ENVIRONMENT Quiet and safe neighborhood. A very good quality hotel, well laid out, and very well maintained. Quality furnishings. Spotlessly clean. ROOM Standard double room: Sufficient space for one person, perhaps a little small for two. Bright. Well laid out. Mirror in the bedroom. Very good quality bedding. Clean, good quality linens. Spacious and clean bathroom. Hot water with good pressure. Good air conditioning. Very good Wi-Fi. Well-placed electrical outlets. The only thing missing was a dedicated space for luggage. BREAKFAST Depending on the number of guests, breakfast is served à la carte or buffet-style. À la carte: one dish of your choice, one drink of your choice (unlimited tea and coffee), one piece of fruit. For this option, given the abundance of fruit available in Myanmar, I would suggest offering an unlimited fruit salad. Buffet: Adequately stocked. Hot dishes, fruit, bread, and drinks. The restaurant is on the rooftop on the 4th floor. Airy and bright, it offers a beautiful view of the city. AMENITIES/SERVICES OFFERED *The room had a hairdryer, an electric kettle, and a small minibar refrigerator. *Bottled water, tea, and coffee were provided. Water dispensers were also available at reception. *Luggage was stored before and after check-in. *Free use of bicycles was available. This was a very popular option that made it easy to get around and explore the surrounding area. *The hotel has a generator, ensuring a continuous power supply. *Bus ticket booking service. A quick note regarding booking bus tickets to Bagan: 2 options: - JJ Express bus. The ticket costs 55,000 MMK if purchased directly from the company, versus 66,000 MMK through the hotel, which is 10% more expensive. - OK Express minibus. The ticket costs 45,000 MMK through the hotel. All locals paid 30,000 MMK directly in the minibus. Price not verified for foreigners. In conclusion, Good value for money. Highly recommended. Already saved to my favorites. This is clearly the kind of hotel every traveler would love to find. Price offered live for a standard double room with breakfast [May 2026] = 85,000 MMK.

GGuest UserOverall, it's fairly clean and tidy. Before check-in, the hotel will inform you that smoking is prohibited in the rooms. If you smoke after checking in and the hotel finds out, they will charge you tens of thousands of Myanmar Kyats for various reasons, and any damaged items will be charged at the hotel's price. Also, drinks in the hotel room are chargeable, and the price is three times that of convenience stores outside (it seems about 90% of hotels here have opaque pricing). If you haven't inquired before checking into a hotel here, it's best to ask to avoid unnecessary arguments and wasted time during check-out.

LLiyuyuqinghuaiMy stay at this hotel was truly wonderful! The environment is outstanding, right by the river, and I could enjoy the river view from my window. The lobby also looked spacious and comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean; there wasn't a speck of dirt on the table corners or in the bathroom. All the facilities worked perfectly, the hot water was plentiful, and the bed was very comfortable. A special thanks to the staff, who were incredibly enthusiastic and patiently answered all my questions. Their service was very heartwarming, making my stay very pleasant.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite nice and the environment is quite good. The price is also very suitable in Mandalay. I recommend the hotel where you can book a seat. The hotel also has a generator, so you can guarantee the power supply.

AAnonymous UserLocation, amazing. Ambiance, great. While the service and staff are excellent, but sadly the place is under maintenance. Perhaps it was because of significant reduction of guests in Bagan. Breakfast was good. Room services was good. The hotel graciously allowed us to check in early, but I found that the toilet and towels were not cleaned properly. I alerted the front desk and they immediately cleaned the room. Another issue related to the toilet was the permanent stain on the wall and floor, and also the very low water pressure. For that price and the cleanliness, I got a bit frustrated.

OOlgaZzA luxurious resort right on the banks of the Irrawaddy. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds, a large and clean pool, soft lawns, and helpful staff. Excellent and inexpensive spa. Downsides: breakfasts are weak. The Sakura rooms we stayed in were very modest, though clean, with old towels and peeling plaster. 5 for the grounds, 3 for the rooms and breakfast.

GGuest UserI'm so glad I splurged and chose this hotel—it's worth every penny! It's right among ancient temples, within walking distance and visible from the restaurant and pool (there are two pools, the second one is large, perfect for swimming). There's an observation tower nearby, from which you can watch the sunrise and sunset for $5. The grounds are spacious and decorated in traditional style, with carved wooden decorations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they were so helpful with any questions we had! They checked us in early upon arrival, helped us buy bus tickets to Yangon, exchange money, and booked a tuk-tuk for a day of temple-hopping (the driver was excellent, taking us along his own route and showing us even more than I had planned). We had two delicious meals at the restaurant. We also enjoyed the breakfast. In the evenings, they set out tables by the pool and host concerts. I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very successful: we walked to the Royal Palace and looked at all the other sights. Well, when we hired a tuck-tuck to go around the suburbs, it is largely no matter where you are taken from. Around the mass of textile shops, many snacks, on the next street a large fruit shop, in addition, on the next street there were several trucks that traded durian at a throw price (compared to Thailand). There are COCO and AEON drogeries in step-by-step access, where at a fairly low price you can buy both noodles/rice, and a variety of fruits and local specialties. At the same time the place is quite quiet, we were comfortable in the room. The average size room, cozy, there is air conditioner, teapot, safe. Every day they put the cooker, coffee, but for some reason they don't put the spoons in the bathroom, although the box under them is standing. Cleaning and changing towels every day, the lingerie changed every 2 days. The only thing I can do is that the waitresses are not very attentive, the bathroom ended soap and gel, and since they did not check the capacity, it was necessary to kick. In one day came at 16 - the room was not removed, too. For some reason there is no ”do not disturb” plate and the next morning to us the room broke into the room, it is good that we were both in the bathroom and the door was closed on the chain. In the evening in 20.00 turn off the light, exactly for a couple of minutes, then turn on. Very weak inno. Warned that on the last day it would be early to leave - cooked lunch boxing and even water didn't forget. Helped with ordering tuck-tuck for the day we planned to watch the old capitals, negotiated with tuck-tucker. Very nice and friendly.

AAnonymous UserExcellent stay here & extended one extra day in Bagan. Staffs are super friendly & helpful, it’s inside the bagan pagodas & backyard is Irrawaddy river, quiet & pewceful. Very thankful that they let me check in earlier at 7.30am & upgraded my room to suite. I had the most wonderful time staying here in Bagan! Highly recommended!!!
