**Absolutely fabulous gem of a hotel – we’re already planning our return!** I’m almost reluctant to sing its praises too loudly in case we can’t get a reservation next time, but I simply cannot recommend The Ocean highly enough. This place is an absolute standout. From the moment you arrive, the service is exceptional. The team is warm, highly attentive, and genuinely approachable – every single member made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. They anticipated our needs before we even asked, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was superb, with a wonderful selection to suit every taste and waistline. What really elevated it was the full table service – a lovely, touch that made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. The hotel restaurant is an absolute must. After scouting every other option in the area, we ended up eating there both nights of our stay because it was, without question, the best find around. The menu offers a fantastic selection, everything is cooked fresh to order, and every dish we tried was outstanding. The portions are generous yet perfectly judged – so much so that we sadly couldn’t squeeze in a dessert, though the menu looked every bit as tempting as the mains. The hotel itself has been decorated with real taste and care throughout. Our room was stunning – fresh, modern, and incredibly welcoming, while still feeling cosy and homely. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual tired, tacky seafront offerings; the team has clearly poured heart and soul into creating somewhere that feels both stylish and genuinely comforting. Overall, The Ocean is a superb find – one of those rare places that ticks every box and leaves you smiling from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Carpark a little small but you can use next door. Room a little tired with marks on carpet. Quiet room and good sleep. Breakfast included which was good quality, however coffee machine not great.

A Perfect Day at The Bedingfeld Arms! What a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, The Bedingfeld Arms delivered exactly what we were hoping for—and more. Nestled in a charming location, it felt like a gentle escape into the countryside, with just the right mix of warmth and ease. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We lingered over our meal, not wanting it to end! The rooms were just what we needed: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It was so lovely to wake up refreshed and step out into such a peaceful setting. While some might wish for a slightly more “posh” or traditional pub feel—Tom did miss the classic old-world touches like dark walnut floors and the scent of oak smoke in the air—we both appreciated the light, airy ambiance and modern comfort. It’s clear The Bedingfeld Arms has found its own style, and it’s working beautifully. Altogether, it was a delightful, cheerful, and refreshing day, and we’re so glad we chose to spend it here. No issue for the hotel, but Great Yarmouth as a town is terribly tired and worn. No longer a place for enjoyment.

Everything is as it says but missing common sense. a lumpy mattress a TV no bigger than a stamp toilet bathroom is guessing if someone else is in there because no indication outside pillows were awful one flat one lumpy. Teh room was clean and staff friendly can't fault that but when another room used thier bathroom what a racket WiFi in room virtually non existent. For similar price book travel lodge and get your own bathroom for a start. I booked last min and won't use again.

Booked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, with convenient shopping and dining nearby, including a large supermarket, McDonald's, and some discount stores. It's a bit of a distance to the city center, about a 20-minute walk. There's a bus directly to the university from the train station. As other guests have mentioned, even if a room is clean and ready, the hotel won't allow early check-in, strictly enforcing the 3 PM check-in time. The front desk staff were chatting and laughing among themselves, then told guests to sit and wait until 3 PM. So, by 3 PM, guests had to line up again to check in. I originally booked this hotel because it had air conditioning, fearing high temperatures this year. However, the 'air conditioning' in the room only blew air and had no temperature control. I ended up having to open the window for ventilation, which was fine as the outside temperature was lower than the room temperature during my stay. I wish I had booked a hotel in the city center; it would have been more convenient.

However, they do have a slightly older decor that might not appeal to everyone. 4. **Toiletries**: A heads-up for future guests: remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as these are not provided. 5. **Location Considerations**: If you're not driving, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It’s a bit isolated, making it less convenient for those relying on public transport.

A very spacious hotel with a lot going on. Decent size bar and restaurant, and was very busy when I visited. I had a single room up in the garret and, whilst no air con, this was clearly stated when booking and I didn't mind. The room was very clean and, whilst sparsely decorated, was absolutely fine. The bed was really comfy and the linen crisp. It has some pretty whacky decor and lots of reproduction features, not least the very thin fake chesterfields in the bar, they were so narrow I couldn't move my elbow appropriately to take a drink. But lots of people there clearly loved it. And I think I did too. Heard many people talking about how they'd stayed several times. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing time together with my family. The kids really enjoyed themselves and the staffs were very friendly and helpful. 100% recommend anytime
