The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and other attractions, all within walking distance. It's super convenient for seeing the Potala Palace at night. All the staff, from the security guards at the entrance, to the front desk, and the breakfast restaurant staff, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. If I ever come back to Lhasa, I'll definitely stay here again. The room had oxygen and a humidifier, which made sleeping very comfortable at night.

Facilities: The room type was very spacious, I booked a two-bed room this time. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the facilities were a bit old, and there was some water leakage. Room service was prompt.
Minibar: Good.
24-hour oxygen supply service: This was very important, especially the 24-hour medical room. Due to severe altitude sickness for the first few days, I spent most of my time in the medical room. Only after taking medication and receiving oxygen could I manage to walk around a bit outside.
Cleanliness: Acceptable, and the turndown service was also good.
Environment: This is arguably the best in Lhasa. After staying one day elsewhere, I spent the remaining days at The St. Regis. During my stay in Lhasa, I mostly dined and engaged in activities at the hotel. The room layout was very well-proportioned, and maintenance was decent. Afternoon tea was just okay, but the Western restaurant had excellent food, and the sweet tea was the best.
Service: The butler, Tina, was excellent. Her service was attentive throughout, and I was very satisfied. Next time I visit Lhasa, I definitely won't choose any other hotel. She even proactively checked in on my well-being.
A hotel worthy of a full 5 stars. Shannan exceeded my expectations and re-examined the Hilton brand.
The hotel service, from the moment I arrived, was excellent, attentive, and professional, demonstrating strong brand management. Check-in was prompt, and we were even greeted with warm rhodiola rosea tea.
The hotel room was spacious and user-friendly, and I slept very comfortably that night.
The breakfast was also exceptional, with a wide selection. The bread was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff even took the initiative to make local glutinous rice cakes for guests, which were delicious.
There are many dining options nearby, including markets, supermarkets, and restaurants, all within walking distance.
The hotel also provided evening porridge, milk, and small bread, which I slept soundly after. Due to time constraints, I didn't stay an extra day, which is a shame. I will definitely return to your hotel when I visit Ngari next year, and I'll definitely choose Hilton again if I ever find one.

Wingate by Wyndham is absolutely amazing! It's in a prime location, right next to a pedestrian street, and just a 5-minute walk to the Potala Palace, close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The hotel is very new, with a sophisticated and elegant decor that blends ******* elements. The rooms are spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, with diffused oxygen supply and humidifiers throughout – a godsend for those worried about altitude sickness. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation and even a Dyson hairdryer, showing great attention to detail. The 6th-floor rooftop restaurant offers a prime viewing spot, and seeing the golden roof of the Potala Palace in the morning and evening is breathtaking. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, offering Hada scarves and complimentary room upgrades. The breakfast is delicious. New facilities, excellent service, and an unbeatable location – definitely the top choice for accommodation in Lhasa!

Traveling with elderly relatives, we placed particular emphasis on the convenience of our accommodation. The smart voice control throughout the house was simple and easy to learn, allowing even our elders to use it with ease. The buffet breakfast was light, palatable, and offered a wide variety of options. The surrounding area was also very convenient for dining and shopping, ensuring a comfortable stay for the whole family. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, making it a very satisfying stay.

I stayed at this hotel from June 5-7 2026. The official check in time is listed at 2 pm. They did not give me access to my room until after 4 pm. Furthermore, laundry is listed as included service and they said their facility was not working and had to send it somewhere else. They charged me a hefty fee. I believe it’s a misnomer for this hotel to call themselves “international”
This hotel really only caters to Chinese speaking populations, which is fine and the typical situation in Lhasa, but to be more accurate, the hotel shouldn’t make the claim “international.” That would typically imply better more comprehensive services for people outside of one population and nationality.
This hotel is listed as 5 stars in Lhasa. I have traveled to many countries and stayed in many 5 star hotels. According to my experience, this hotel doesn’t measure up to a 5 star standard. Perhaps it did in the past. 5 star hotels typically have much better restaurants and dining options. The room was clean and I had a nice view.

Many people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender.
Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it.
My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work!
The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.
The front desk staff 77 service attitude is particularly good, warm and friendly, warm and gentle, check-in and check-out efficiency is very high, there are questions patiently and meticulously answered, professional and intimate, the quilt is a duvet is very comfortable. Hot water is produced in seconds, the whole experience is excellent, and the living is particularly comfortable and satisfactory. The hotel is very well equipped.

### Location: Excellent! Just a few hundred meters from the Potala Palace, our 180-degree view room faced the east side of the palace directly. We enjoyed watching the Potala Palace enveloped in morning mist and its brilliant lights at night.
### Restaurant: The 6th-floor restaurant offers unobstructed views with large floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for photos. We enjoyed the scenery during both breakfast and afternoon tea. The breakfast selection was simple but delicious; there was always something to our liking.
### Amenities: The room was equipped with a scenic lounge chair and a tea set, making tea time with a view very pleasant. Mineral water was generously provided, and guests could also grab extra from the common area. The keyless entry made coming and going very convenient.
### Service: The staff were warm and attentive, proactively guiding us and helping with luggage. I accidentally stained the duvet, and they completely replaced the bedding, which I greatly appreciated 🙏.
### Dining & Shopping: Located in the city center, dining and shopping were very convenient. There are many scenic restaurants nearby, such as Youjian Mountain and Windsor Manor. Before leaving, we easily purchased local specialties like yak jerky and yak milk powder.
### Small Suggestions: It would be great to add a towel basket under the sink and upgrade to smart toilets. When first arriving at high altitude, showering can be difficult, so a smart bidet would be a thoughtful touch.
The hotel is located in the bustling city center with convenient underground parking. It's just a few hundred meters from the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery, which we visited. The hotel's breakfast was the best among the six hotels we stayed at during our six-night trip. However, there were two aspects during our stay that I wasn't happy with: 1. The room's air conditioning temperature was locked at around 27 degrees Celsius, and it took a long time for me to cool down after showering at night. 2. The oxygen supply for the morning ended at 9 AM, so I was woken up when the oxygen was cut off, even though I wanted to sleep in. Other than that, the hotel generally met the expected Atour standards.
