It's right opposite Kuanzhai Ancient Street, just a short walk downstairs, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The design is very stylish, with a natural wood aesthetic that's great for photos. The room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, making for a worry-free stay. It's also close to the metro station, making it convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. To find such a comfortable and chic place right by a tourist attraction, the value for money is simply unbeatable.

Whether you're sipping coffee on the terrace or having breakfast in the courtyard, it truly feels like a vacation. I later found out it's part of the century-old Maison Albar Hotels group, so the French aesthetic is definitely on point. The room design is also beautiful, elegant but not overly formal or imposing. All the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Kylie at the front desk, who is gentle, patient, and very capable at resolving issues. The only minor downside is that it seems to be a popular venue for wedding banquets. If you happen to be there during an event, it can get quite noisy in the rooms. You might also hear some sound from the bar performances in the evening.
