The location is very convenient, right off route 1 south. We arrived very late and with the incorrect booking date. The lady at the service desk was extremely helpful and managed to rebookd a room at the spot. Thank you to trip.com. They also allowed us to have a late check out. Again have to praise the friendliness of the service desk. The room assigned was not set up properly so we got an upgrade. Room is clean by there are no slippers, no shower cap, tooth brush etc. Kind of disappointed.

The room was large and clean. The hotel restaurant was good. There was a small unmanned vending area in the lobby. Transportation was convenient, with many shops within 1-3 miles. It's not far from Newark Airport. The hotel service was good. Parking was convenient, but it was charged. It was free within 30 minutes.

Needed to go to Prudential Center for a concert and decided that it is within walking distance. Check in was terrible. The front lady forgot about me after telling me to wait for 10 mins for my room. I requested for a room near the elevator as I hate walking down a long corridor, BUT she gave me the furthest room, next to the Exit stairs. Sigh….. Bed was comfortable. Rest of the room was ok but hot water took too long to heat up and the water pressure was pathetic. Elevator was slow and we had to wait a long time for the 2 elevators. Then in the evening one elevator broke down. The wait was excruciating long! At 1.30 am I got woken up by bratty kids stomping on my Neighbour’s door. And the nightmare began when the Neighbour from Hell decided to have a party in their room. I called the reception 3 times and they promised that they would send a security guard to ask them to quieten down. But the moment I hang up, I could hear their phone ring! No one came up and the noise continued. After the third call, someone finally came up and the party finally went away. I had to tolerate 3 hours of noise. The day before I was told that the airport shuttle would leave on the hour, every hour. So I came down at 7.45 am only to be told that it is half past every hour. So I had to wait for 45 mins in the lobby. At the lobby there were stragglers sleeping in the lobby. Overall I won’t come back to this hotel.

I really loved the hotel. However, my room was directly above a conference room where high school celebrations were  loud and disturbing. The music was thumping, the microphones screamed, and I found it difficult to rest. The first night was supposedly a dress rehearsal for the event. I called the front desk where it was explained what was going on. The second night I called the desk again to ask what time the noise was going to stop. I was told there’s nothing that can be done about it. I’d love to give you a good review, but that kind of noise in a hotel such as the Madison really is unfortunate and disappointing. Manager in the pub was awesome. Ricky at the front desk was amazing. I had driven from NH for my best friend’s celebration of life which was held in the conservatory, but I was so exhausted that I really wanted to sleep. The loud music and loudspeakers made it impossible.

CCRodOk so first let me just say for the price we paid on the days we went. It wasn't horrible. I would go back BUT YMMV so this was my experience. Location was great. Right on the boardwalk and an easy walk to Hard Rock when we went to the concert. Service was meh. The only time I had a friendly anyone in the establishment was the woman who checked us out. Everyone else that we interacted with were either disinterested or perfunctory. No help on where to find our rooms, no help on any services offered. We didn't even get the annoying (did you want to sign up for our card?) that you get in ****** hotels. I guess that was a plus. From my understanding we were on the ”older side” of the establishment. But regardless, staying on an entire floor that says non smoking it smelled of smoke. both cigarettes and ****. I don't care if you do either but I do care to smell either in my room or right outside my door (defeats the whole purpose of non smoking). Everything is dated which is whatever. but the blinds didn't work the coffee maker wire was too short for the ”dresser” so you had to keep moving it to the nightstand to use it. The room itself was relatively clean although the back of the nightstands hadn't been touched in a long time with all that accumulation of dust. Its design is just...weird. like so much random open area. I guess you can dance there lol. The ”dresser” didn't have drawers it had...like cubby holes. We didn't use them seemed pointless. I didn't even bother with the tv it was too far away and faced away from any sitting area (again weird layout). The ****** itself was ok. Nothing crazy although I did like that rotating bar they had. But again. EVERYWHERE just reeked of smoke. To use a comparison, at Hard Rock when you were on the ****** side sure people smoked there (i get it) but the hotel side of things smelled clean refreshing and airy. In the end, manage expectations and you'll be fine. If you are a smoker I am sure you will be fine too. If all you plan to do is sleep there its fine (although we were on the 7th floor and could still hear the music bumping below but the music was good so w/e lol) It works, again its not horrible. Its definitely 2.5-3 star range.

2205531****This hotel is a bit old and the decor is dated. It's about 2-3 kilometers from Newark Airport, making it suitable for a layover or a brief stay between flights. Regarding cleanliness, I was quite disappointed to find hair in certain areas. I didn't try the breakfast, but there's a microwave available and a small, paid cafe on the first floor. There were no slippers or complimentary toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste. The front desk staff were very friendly though; a young Black man kindly found two disposable toothbrushes for me.

CcatsanddogsThe hotel is very close to the airport and offers a shuttle bus service. For pickups, it runs approximately every half hour, so there was a bit of a wait. For departures, it's available 24/7, every 15 minutes, dropping off at different terminals. This is very convenient for guests catching early flights or those on a layover.

GGuest UserThey charged me $190 without explanations. When I checked out they said $50 deposit will be refunded, but still charged me $140 for the room. At the time of booking with Trip was $137 tax and service included. They did not even give me bottle water in the room. Only keurig coffee machine and water in there was dirty. I told them I only need hot water to make some tea, they told me to go to the gym but the hot water was not even working there, so I had to buy a cup of hot water for $1 + tax and a bottle water which the price was as high as airport price. The only thing beneficial to me was airport shuttle every 30 min and run 24 hrs daily.

GGuest UserThe proximity to the airport is ideal. There's a large mall right next door, which is within walking distance. The front desk staff were rather unfriendly and seemed uninterested. The airport shuttle is advertised to run every 30 minutes. However, at 4:45 AM, we had to wait for over 20 minutes. After our checkout, the man at the front desk had disappeared and didn't reappear. Another woman, who was also waiting for the shuttle, ended up calling a taxi because she couldn't ask anyone at the reception when or if it would arrive. The shuttle driver was also very unfriendly and didn't help with loading our luggage. Overall, the service was far from customer-friendly. What a shame.

GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived, Asbury Ocean Club Hotel exceeded every lofty expectation we had set. George and Neil welcomed us with genuine warmth, handling our bags effortlessly and walking us through the property with the kind of thoughtful orientation that makes a guest feel instantly at home. That same care echoed across every corner of the hotel. Our Dune Suite was beautifully appointed, blending modern design with quiet comfort, the perfect retreat after long days by the shore. The pool deck offered sweeping ocean views, the workout facilities were pristine and well equipped, and the drawing room felt like a serene escape, ideal for a quiet morning coffee or an evening unwind with a book. Dining was a true highlight. The bar delivered outstanding cocktails crafted with precision, and the Mother's Day menu stood out as a memorable culinary experience, beautifully plated and full of seasonal flavor. Service throughout was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Asbury Ocean Club delivers genuine five star hospitality in a setting that feels both refined and refreshingly relaxed. We left already counting down to our next visit, and we cannot recommend it more highly.
