Hotel near International Drive,Orlando 2.5% of visitors choose this area

We were there during the Christmas holidays, and Miami hotels were ridiculously expensive. Orlando was a much better option, and this hotel was only a little over a hundred dollars, which was a really fair price. The location is quite convenient; right outside, there's a gas station, a convenience store, and even the world's largest McDonald's. Within a ten-minute walk, you'll find a large supermarket, a car rental pickup point, various restaurants, and a Chinese buffet. The facilities are also pretty comprehensive, including a free shuttle service to and from Universal Studios. The room itself was definitely a bit dated, but the front desk staff member who checked us in was super helpful. We got a second-floor room facing the inner courtyard, which was very quiet and had no musty smell. (However, I imagine rooms facing the road might be quite noisy, so it's probably best to avoid those if you can.)

Hotel was as advertised inside the airport with cero commute need.  The room was spot clean but dated, was like 1960 with a flat screen tv.  Outside room and lobby also super dated. No ammenities. It’s purpose is to be a place to crash inside the airport.

I went for a brief trip to celebrate one of my favorite philanthropies so I did not have a chance to sample all of the Hotel's features (for example, I did not get to go to the off-site gym). However, I can report that this grand resort epitomizes old Florida IMO and I liked its warmth and intimacy better than the grandeur of its primary competitor, The Breakers. The service is wonderful. All of the staff are friendly and call you by name. The turndown service is wonderful and they give you an interesting card about the history and an exceptionally tasty sweet macaron form Laduree. My room was quite small and fully priced, but you could not have a better location - just one block from the Beach and Worth Avenue. The ”free” in-house car service featuring a vintage Land Rover Defender and a Volvo station wagon is quite exceptional.

This Spark by Hilton hotel seems to have been recently upgraded. The service was excellent and consistent, and the rooms were quite clean. It offers a standard continental breakfast; it would be even better if they had hot scrambled eggs and sausages. Parking is also convenient. The surrounding amenities are great, and transportation is easily accessible.

This hotel was very cheap and as expected. Nice and clean, in a good location on International Drive, near decent restaurants and bars. An affordable place to lay your head when spending lots of money at theme parks everyday. The noise from the highway can be heard, I would recommend you take earplugs.

Everything about the hotel was great. It’s very beautiful inside and it has four working elevators that are very quick. I think everybody’s favorite amenity was the pool in the hot tub. It was very beautiful out there and the hot tub featured a waterfall. The kids really enjoyed being at the pool. The bartender made probably one of the best Bahama mamas I’ve ever had! The breakfast was pretty good also.

I chose this hotel primarily for its shuttle service to Universal Studios, but the shuttle schedule was quite limited. They only offered shuttles *to* Universal in the morning and *from* Universal in the afternoon. The last return shuttle was at 8:40 PM, which is a bit tight considering Universal parks close at 9 PM – it would be much better if there were later options. Definitely make sure to book your shuttle times well in advance, otherwise you might not get the slot you want. Breakfast had a slightly better variety than Drury's, with more fruit, but it still lacked vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in as early as 11 AM. On the first day, we received two complimentary bottled waters, but none thereafter. When I asked the front desk, they told me to buy water from the supermarket on the first floor. However, on our last day, I managed to get some from a cleaning staff member – I guess she felt too awkward to refuse. My thanks to her!

Universal Cabana Bay Hotel, conveniently located. Very close to Universal theme parks and Volcano Bay water park. In the hotel, there are two particularly large swimming pools and a lazy lazy river. The hotel has a Starbucks coffee shop, a universal gift shop, and a dining area. The eating area can choose North American style, South American style, Italian style and Asian style fast food. Although it belongs to fast food, the taste is very good, and it is close to the feeling of ordering in a restaurant. The price is very conscientious. The decoration of the dining area is a retro imitation of the 70s, which is very interesting. In fact, it is not bad to spend a day in a hotel without doing anything. The room was tidy. The suite I chose this time has a lot of space, but it was arranged by the Hispanic staff in a building away from the lobby yesterday. I feel that as a Chinese, if I don't take the initiative to tip, I will encounter this kind of inconvenient treatment. Room decor is average. The bed and sofa are reasonably comfortable. Sleep was very quiet at night. If you go to Volcano Bay to play, because it is next to it and there is no bus, it is recommended not to choose a suite with external access. There is a high probability that you will be arranged in a few buildings far away from Volcano Bay and the lobby in the hotel, and you have to pass through the huge hotel , walk to the water park. If you rent a car, there is a parking fee per night. If you go to Universal Park, the bus will take you back and forth every half an hour until one o'clock in the morning.

Not the typical Holiday Inn. Hotel is dated, and customer service is inexistent. Front Desk telling stories to each other, client is not a priority, but an interruption to their social time.

CCarmelWe liked our stay at this hotel. Liked the location and our room. Staff are accommodating. Breakfast was good but hopefully a breakfast buffet will be available too so as to have more options for the free breakfast included. Definitely would rebook here for future travels and staycations.

GGuest UserThe room smelt damp, mouldy… not the best smell for a RC hotel. They shut the A/C down one night for maintenance and the room got uncomfortably hot. That then teamed with a fire alarm at 1am & then again at 5am (obviously caused by the work being carried out) was not a great night stay. After all a hotels basic fulfilment is for a place to sleep!! The staff at the hotel were great 5 star service from the beach, pool, doormen/valet and checkin.

MMama CheetahWe ended up at the Daytona Grande after the Hilton Oceanfront overbooked and we were on our way with no place to stay! Admittedly not the safest, but I had to book this place while driving from the Orlando airport and just looking for something that wasn’t a total dive but still decently priced without a ton of extra fees. No free breakfast here which is something I especially appreciate as a family of 6, but in this case it was just me and my teenage son in town for an archery championship. After the highly stressful day of travel we had, the Grande was like a little slice of Heaven! It was clean, quiet, and beautiful. We decided after having to skip lunch with flight delays and all that, we just wanted a good meal and a good bed and we got exactly that. My son and I split truffle fries to start, the crusted crab filet, and beignets for dessert. All were wonderful (and we’re from Dallas where there is no shortage of excellent food) and enjoyed Oceanside on the dimly lit quiet patio. My only criticism is that the tables should be turned perpendicularly to the ocean and hotel so that everyone at the table gets a view of both rather than one facing a wall while the other faces the ocean. Rooms were nicely decorated, had comfortable, intuitive lighting, handy USB plugs, and most importantly REALLY COMFORTABLE BEDS! We have a Tempurpedic at home so my sleep is usually pretty abysmal at hotels. Now, this wasn’t as comfy as home, but I slept hard and woke without being sore since the bed was genuinely comfortable. My only complaints about the room were that the window sheers, while stylish, really gave no privacy at all, so if you wanted privacy you had to sacrifice light. Water pressure wasn’t great and the bathroom needed more towel bars and hooks. This would’ve been way more of a nuisance with the whole family, but they also came midday and restocked towels and made up the beds, which we see less and less of these days, even at nice hotels in the name of being “green”. But it was spacious and clean and otherwise nicely equipped. Elevators were fast and never held us up. Beach access from the elevator was nice as we didn’t have to walk through the lobby in swimsuits. Parking was slightly inconvenient being caddy corner across the street, but not bad at all. We considered but didn’t try room service mainly due to price and unknown wait (when we had tournament times to consider) but the little shop/cafe in the lobby was great and convenient and priced about as you’d expect (pricey, but not too ridiculous). We got coffee and breakfast sandwiches both days. I think the biggest issue with this place is the visibility. It’s tall to be sure so you’re not going to miss it, but the entrance and signage is on the far side and behind a little aqua building (I think called Sand Dunes) which had to be apartments or a teeny hotel that I can only assume refused to sell to the Grande in development so the Grande built around it. It keeps it from having the opulent entrance that the Hilton does

GGuest UserThere was a microwave in the food court, and the soda refill machine offered water and ice. The water had no odor and was easy to drink. There was a shuttle bus, which made access to the park easy, and it was a very well-equipped hotel for the price. There was a Walgreens nearby, which was convenient for shopping for daily necessities, and there were also restaurants like IHOP near the hotel.

DDr RobertMy review is intended as constructive feedback and should be taken that way. Check-in was a bit of a hassle, but once we got over a speed bump, everything was fine. I won't go into what happened exactly, but please NOTE: they do NOT accept cash for the deposit or payment. You must have a credit card.. Make sure your card works... and they don't seem to accept Union Pay cards. There isn't any drinkable water in the room, but there is a convenience store two buildings away - super convenient. The rooms are clean. But, everything is old. The furniture could be quickly restored with some varnish to the furniture, and rustic rugs tossed on the wooden floors. They should consider adding their own line of soaps and hair care products for an element of care and elegance. It'd be nice to have a couple of complimentary bottles of water, as well. The free shuttle from the airport - go to blue baggage claim and go out one of the blue entry/exit points; either 1 or 2 - at the far ends of the baggage claim corridor. Look for a ”Veterans Limo” van. They come regularly. Just tell the driver where you're going. Breakfast is great if you love carbs. Unfortunately, no proteins were served. I recommend just adding some scrambled or hard-boiled eggs or turkey bacon and cheeses. You should add more varieties of bagels and bread, as well - especially if you're going to stay carb-centric. Raisin bagels would've been nice. Thanks for the waffles. Neat, but I would prefer an omlette station. Overall, I will probably not stay here again, but only because there are so many other options to choose from. Oh... No offense, but the front desk staff could use some training in customer service and customer care. A couple of them seem to be tired of guests and refer to guests as ”them” and ”they” with a tone of contempt. The staff seems to be falling into a horrible customer care death spiral of ”us” vs. ”them” and seeing ”them” as ”stupid.” Maybe have just a workshop to help staff reaffirm their commitment to the hospitality industry. Competition won't go away, but customers will.
