Riad is conveniently located, inside very beautiful and comfortable.
The room was clean, there was everything needed. You can order breakfast extra if you missed this option when booking. There is a big terrace on top, on which it is nice to sit and drink a cup of mint tea in the evening.
The staff is very friendly, taking into account all our wishes.
Recommend this place from all the soul! Thank you!
Facilities: This is a great hotel, located right next to the Marrakech train station. I highly recommend staying here if you want to avoid getting ripped off by taxis.
Ambiance: Nice, there's a large swimming pool in the middle. It seems all rooms have balconies, perfect for enjoying a local Casablanca beer.
It was during the Africa Cup, and you could watch the car parades celebrating Morocco's wins 🍾
Walking distance from the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. Yes, the hotel is not new, but the price-quality ratio is excellent. I don’t know who writes about the dirt - the pool is clean, the glasses and food accessories in the restaurant are all clean. Opposite the hotel there is a wine shop, which is very convenient, a cafe where you can eat tasty and inexpensively. I definitely recommend visiting!
It was my first time in Africa, and I chose this hotel. It's just across the street from Marrakech Station, but the surroundings are average. The hotel is located in the new town of Marrakech. Personally, I think it's a good choice compared to the dangers of the old town. One caveat: Marrakech's buses are not very punctual, so I recommend taking a taxi. The hotel is about 10 euros from the airport.
Definitely a very very old heritage hotel with a lot of history! The hotel premises are stunning. The reception and lounge staff were so nice and helpful.
I do think, the hotel could do with a litte but of refurbishing especially for the rooms. But I cannot complain! Got the best deal, and had a really good time and the breakfast out in the garden under orange trees was like straight out of a movie! Loved it!!!
Great location, close to many more hip and happening hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes.
The hotel is old, the linoleum floors are patched and have holes in them. The room is very dimly lit (the lamps are dim). Overall, it's fine for just an overnight stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
The hotel manager and his team were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The food was of high quality, and both the service and reception were delivered to a very high standard.
Some challenges encountered, which appear to be beyond the hotel’s direct control, included the condition of the road leading to the hotel — rough and dusty — as well as the lengthy 45-minute journey from the airport. Additionally, there were WiFi connectivity issues during the first two days of our stay; however, these were eventually resolved.
Lastly, the intensity of the Marrakech heat was truly remarkable.
Overall, I would rate the hotel a respectable 7 out of 10.
Much better than expected. I like the location being next to a hypermarket and public transport.
The bed was decent and there was actually a fridge in the room. My room was very clean.
The internet was good for one person. Speed was around 10up 5down. Not blazing fast but could video call and stream no problem.
I only paid the honest and correct amount of city tax compared to other places in Morocco.
Staff were friendly enough.
I would actually come back - decent value for money
Really nice hotel a 20 walk from the main sights of the city. The hotel room is small and the shower could have been built better to prevent flooding but the staff are nice and breakfast was tasty.
Great location for budget travellers: not far from the train station (walkable distance), safe and lively neighborhood without the Medina chaos, bus stop for several lines to the Medina (4 DH one ride), large Carrefour supermarket nearby, several tour agencies with cheaper than Internet prices. The room is spacious and simple, clean bathroom and bed. Just accept that the hotel is old, and you will be alright

Very Good
ММалинкаI absolutely loved this hotel. The lobby had fresh flowers, and the scent was amazing. The pristine white linens, the room size, and the balcony furniture were all fantastic 🤩. The breakfast perfectly suited my taste. There's some construction happening, as they're adding more floors to the main building, but it didn't affect our stay at all since our room overlooked the smaller pool. All our requests were handled incredibly quickly. It's a shame I didn't get a chance to try the spa; we only stayed for three nights and wanted to explore the city more.
BBrice PackA very nice hotel.
Two heated pools (30 degrees Celsius), one of which is indoors (1 hour per day, reservation required).
Three restaurants and several bars.
Perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather!
GGuest UserThis is a very worthwhile hotel. It can be said to be the highlight of the entire trip to Morocco. Each room is an independent Riad courtyard. The service is friendly but not overly enthusiastic. Except for the average food, the environment can be said to be impeccable. Marrakech is actually quite dirty and messy as a whole. The inside and outside of the hotel can be said to be two different worlds. If I come to Marrakech next time, I will still consider staying here!
KK DesaiThis is an absolutely stunning Riad. I cannot praise it enough. The courtyard is beautiful and full of trees and plants. The restaurant shares this space and is a wonderful experience to have breakfast, lunch or dinner among the trees and plants.
We stayed in room Orientalle and it is just incredible. There is a balcony over the pool and plenty of room to relax. The artwork is also stunning, not just in the room but all over the riad. It is like staying in a museum.
There are also many patios to relax in although we could not make full use of them as the weather wasn't great.
The real stars of the Riad are the staff. They are simply amazing. Ahmed looked after us so well. Sorted out our transfers and organised a tour of Marrakech, booked a restaurant for is. Would always ask if we were okay was always ready with a tip or helping on what to do or where to go. When he wasn't there Khalid did the same. Khalid is also very friendly and helpful. It was great having them in reception just before you went out. As we had come to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Ahmed had decorated the room with petals and had also arranged a bunch of roses for my wife. He also organised a special vegetarian dinner in the restaurant for us
Housekeeping led by Latifa were great and the room was cleaned very well and repeatedly decorated with rose petals.
Breakfast is a traditional Moroccan one and is very good. The star is however Oussama, our waiter. He looked after us every day and insisted we try everything and made sure we had a good breakfast. He is a very genuine person and truly wants you to have a good time. When we had dinner at the restaurant one evening he made sure we couldn't eat another crumb. A truly kind and sweet person
I cannot praise the Riad and staff enough. It is not the cheapest place but for my wife and I it was worth every penny. The memories we have will last for ever.
We will return
MMötley NüFCFirst off, the location was great, a lot of choice for breakfast, nice swimming pool and big/clean room. Most of the staff were actually very helpful, just the last night left a sour taste in my mouth.
I would highly recommend this hotel, but believe some staff should know better what other parts of the hotel were doing and how to speak to guests. Technically, a solo traveller, but my friend was staying in another room. Every day we were given 1 large complementary bottle or water and 2 small bottles.
However, on the final night, my friend received, but I didn’t. This was fine and I just politely mentioned it to reception. Bearing in mind there’s not many local shops to get water from, I was glad when I was told this would be rectified.
1 tiny bottle was left in my room, so I rang reception to explain, this is where things got a bit rude and I was surprised at having to ‘fight’ for a bottle of water - especially because this isn’t a cheap hotel. I was redirected to room service, who tried to charge me and then said it’s a housekeeping issue. Then spoke to reception again and then basically called me a liar when I said that I’d had free complimentary water every day.
The lack of water didn’t really bother me, it was that I was sent around in circles and then rudely told I was wrong, even when I pointed out that I’d received water 3-days in a row. After about an hour trying, and very very thirsty, housekeeping - who were very friendly btw - dropped off 4 small bottles of water. If it were a housekeeping issue, I could’ve been told this from the start and there wouldn’t have been an issue.
All that being said, I actually really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in Marrakech itself.
GGuest UserAmaizing gem of a place. Profesional but friendly staff at every corner. The breakfast staff could not do enough for us and so were the reception staff, all of them were so attentive and friendly. The room cleaners left the bedroom spotless everyday. We had a Hammam massage to die for. The two masseurs were so good, that I have to give them 10 out of 10. I had a good few massages in my life, but NEVER one that can equal the one we had the other day. The Facials were 10 out of ten. Nothing absolutely nothing we can find fault with, the only thing I'm disappointed with is myself, as I can only remember the name of one member of staff Abderrahim the night receptionist, but they were many others both female and male that took so much pride in their job. We will definitely be back to definitely have another Hamman . Best hotel by far in the last 5 years. I'm sorry I cannot post more photos.
GGuest UserStayed here recently after booking through Trip.com, and overall it was a really relaxing and unique experience.
Location:
The villa is about 30 minutes from Marrakesh city centre, so it’s definitely more on the quiet, countryside side. That’s great if you’re looking to unwind away from the chaos of the Medina, but just keep in mind you’ll need a taxi or arranged transport to get around.
Ambience & Property:
The place feels like a peaceful retreat. The pool area is beautiful, well-maintained, and surrounded by greenery and palm trees. Plenty of loungers and shaded spots to relax, which makes it perfect for a chill day. The architecture has a rustic Moroccan charm with small villa-style rooms that add to the cozy vibe.
Rooms & Comfort:
Rooms are simple but comfortable. Not ultra-luxury, but clean and nicely designed to match the overall aesthetic of the property. It feels more like staying at a private villa than a typical hotel.
Service:
Staff were friendly and helpful, though service can feel a bit laid-back at times (which honestly matches the vibe of the place).
Food & Facilities:
The poolside setup is great for relaxing, though food options might be limited compared to larger hotels. Best to plan meals or head into the city for more variety.
Overall Experience:
If you’re looking for a calm, aesthetic getaway with a beautiful pool and peaceful surroundings, this is a solid choice. If you prefer being close to the action, this might feel a bit too remote.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
Great for relaxing, but location may not suit everyone.
BBellinisThe check-in process was good for customer service, but my room experience was terrible. I booked a superior suite, but I ended up with a regular room. I was informed that the person who was supposed to be in the room decided to stay another day. When I checked online, I found that the room was still available for reservation. The next day, when I asked to switch to my reserved room, I was told that it was booked again and that I should check back in line. Surprisingly, the same room was still available for reservation. I feel like they were scamming people by booking a suite at a higher price and then giving them a cheaper room.
The night crew member was very friendly and informed me that the manager was traveling. However, I don’t understand who is responsible for managing the website and ensuring that the correct room is posted when it’s available. I tried to contact them via phone and email, but nothing happened. I hope that Trip guide and the hotel will take responsibility for their actions and make sure that this doesn’t happen to other customers. I could have booked a different suite that had a similar aesthetic to what I was looking for, but I couldn’t even cancel the reservation. There should be a system in place for booking a specific room, and if the room is not available, the customer should receive an automatic refund. It’s their job to figure out when the room is available and what type of room it is. Additionally, the room had a bunch of knickknacks, and the table, wall, and bottom of the table were all chipped, cracked.
GGuest UserPlace is nice and clean, staff was also very helpful.
However, do note that the address is not the actual address of the riad. I am travelling alone, and only booked this riad because it was right beside where my friends are staying. I only found out when I arrive that it is a 4-5mins walk from the actual address stated on trip.com. Which was very misleading and they should update the correct address. Kudos to the staff who was very nice to walk me out many times, as I prefer to have someone walk me in the early mornings, and at night. Provided water, and also very helpful and friendly.
Another issue I had was that I arranged an airport transport to pick me from the airport, and was told the driver will be carrying the hotel sign with my name. I could not find the driver and panicked, again because I was travelling alone. I had to call the riad to realise that the driver was not carrying the correct sign, but another name similar to Riad Dar Massai, and did not have my name on it. Which was honestly impossible for me to recognise which is my driver. The sign should be made clear to guest first time in Marrakesh to just show ”RIAD DAR MASSAI + name of guest”.
Finally, the aircon was great, but blankets were really thin. I know they provided extra blankets but I did not use it. So I am very cold at night.
Apart from the few drawbacks, it is overall a beautifully designed Riad, I actually really loved the interior architecture, and the rooms are clean and spacious, showers are hot and nice.
GGuest UserRiad Musee is ideally located close the the heart of the medina. The hosts are brilliant; friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Breakfast on the sunny rooftop terrace was a highlight, with views across the medina. The interior of the riad is very well kept, clean and comfortable.
