Hotels With bar in Gangwon State, South Korea

This was my second visit. Located between Gyeongpo Lake and the sea, the view here is definitely the best in the vicinity. The room condition is also good, and being able to enjoy swimming, fitness, and bathing all within the hotel is a great advantage. However, the service always seems to fall short of these excellent facilities, which is a pity. The lobby staff are generally all friendly. But the service from the ancillary facility staff was disappointing. I used the swimming pool and sauna, and the customer service was a bit lacking. Especially considering the considerable extra charges for using them… The hotel might be 4 or 5-star, but the customer service felt more like a late-night convenience store.

This hotel offers breathtaking views! My previous disappointment of missing the sunrise over the sea at Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung was completely remedied here in Jeongdongjin. If the season prevents you from catching the sunrise from your room's balcony, a short walk to Sunrise Park will bring you face-to-face with the vast, boundless ocean, where the sunrise is truly awe-inspiring. The hotel itself is a unique attraction with excellent and extensive facilities, making it perfect for families with children to relax and enjoy a leisurely vacation. There's a restaurant on-site where you can book a scenic table in advance. For guests craving local cuisine, taxis are available to take you to restaurants down the hill. The room is exceptionally well-maintained, and the bedding is very clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom area has sunken steps, which guests unfamiliar with the room layout or with impaired vision could easily trip over. I suggest adding a friendly reminder sign to alert guests about the steps and ensure their safety during their stay.

Nice place to stay. Very close to Mona Yongpyong Ski Resort. Nice view. Ample parking space. Spacious Room. Ondol room can fit 6 people. Kitchenette provided for cooking. There was an issue with our toilet where the toilet bowl is clogged. When we contact the front desk, they promptly send a staff to fix the toilet. Everything is perfect and we enjoy our stay at Tower Condominium.

For a one-night stay costing around 600,000 KRW (with check-in at 3 PM and check-out at 11 AM), I arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes before the official check-in time to secure my place in line. Despite this, it was already past 3 PM by the time it was my turn. When I explained the situation to a staff member who appeared to be a manager, I was curtly told that check-in was strictly by order of arrival and nothing could be done. My turn at the front desk finally came about 5 minutes after the official check-in time. Upon collecting my pre-purchased breakfast coupons, I was informed that only the first and last of the three available time slots remained, forcing me to choose between them. Eventually, I did receive a call that a spot had opened up for the middle breakfast time, and I was able to exchange my coupon. However, the entire system felt very confusing and inefficient. On a positive note, hotel guests have complimentary access to the facilities. The room and the view, however, were absolutely magnificent.

Location is amazing if you want to hike in Seoraksan as it’s right at the entrance and saves you from driving and parking or being subject to public transport woes. Hotel is a bit run down, and room service / restaurants have limited food selection but there’s a tiny unmanned convenience store at the lobby and if you drive out a bit there’s quite a lot of food. They do charge for everything including extra bottled water so just keep in mind if you’re wanting anything extra. Would still recommend staying here if you’re wanting to hike the mountain as the views are super good and the location near the park entrance is also fantastic.

It’s peaceful, serene, surrounded by lush greenery and nature, the only hotel on Nami Island, a great retreat and getaway choice from the hustle and bustle of the city. My room has a balcony and a bookshelf filled with real books, not just a decoration, which I’m genuinely impressed with. Breakfast is a great buffet with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I sat outdoors and saw a real peacock wandering around the outdoor dining area, which is in nature. I feel like I'm the guest and this is his home. XD P.S. The only ”noise” in this serene environment is the peacock's loud calls during the mating season(March to July). I heard several times during my stay in late May. P.P.S. This hotel has a beautiful Chinese name, “靜觀齋,” displayed on a sign at the entrance, meaning “A Place of Tranquil Observation.”

The condition of the convention tower room was good. The snowy scenery was also very nice. There were many places to go and things to do for a vacation, so it was good. The water park, swimming pool, sauna, Unamjeong, *** (Kangwon Land), gondola, skiing, sledding, etc. were spread out, so it wasn't too crowded even though it was a holiday, which was even better. ㅎㅎ I'm even more satisfied because there's something for everyone, from children to adults. It's a bit far to get there, but it's definitely a vacation, so I'd like to visit again^^

Went to yangyang and booked this hotel for its beach view and we got free room upgrade to royal suite!! The service are superb and will repeat for sure. Just a bit sad bcs we dont get the complimentary snacks and drinks as the rooftop close at 9pm but overall deserves a 5 star reviews from me and my friends!! Again thank you for the nice hospitality ❤️

My friends and I came to Intercontinental Alpensia because we got a really good deal and expected to experience snow right at the resort. The snow arrived a bit later than we hoped but honestly, we still had such a good time! The room was lovely, the weather was perfectly chilly (sometimes too cold.. so come prepared!) and we were lucky to catch real snow at Mount Balsangwan by taking the cable car at nearby resort (Mona Yongpyeong) We have to give a huge shout out to the in-room dining service; the Beef Risotto and Frutti di Mare Pasta were soooo good. Truly delicious! The whole area is so pretty and calm, especially with the Christmas vibe when we visited. Everything felt cozy and magical. We definitely plan to return! ❄️💙

The board walk was closed and I didnot realize at the time of booking so it was quite disappointing. Other than that the accommodation was good.
