It was my first time staying in a Japanese hot spring hotel and I had dinner in my room. There are many kinds of food, the rice at the end is special but I can't eat it anymore, the hot spring has indoor and outdoor. It's big, has a great view and a sauna. There are many styles of shower gel and shampoo to choose from. The breakfast was also great. The room is big and the view outside the window is beautiful. There is also a massage chair to relax your back.
The location is beautiful in the national park, and it is cool and comfortable to walk. The sea view room has a great view, and you can watch the sunrise from the bed. The outdoor hot spring pool is very comfortable, the customer service staff is kind and attentive, and the meals are plentiful and delicious.
1. Hotel Location
The hotel is located in Tsunagi Onsen, Morioka.
If you are not driving, the main ways to get there are the very infrequent public buses or taxis with a fixed fare (5,000 yen).
2. Nearby Amenities
Tsunagi Onsen is located in a rural area of Morioka. There is only one convenience store nearby. If you plan to go, it is recommended to buy some daily necessities beforehand.
3. Hotel Facilities
As a hot spring hotel, this hotel has abundant entertainment facilities. For example, the hotel offers traditional cultural performances at irregular intervals in the evenings, and daytime buses to other tourist attractions in the Morioka area. The hotel's main feature is its extensive hot spring facilities, with many baths.
4. Hotel Staff Service
The hotel staff's service attitude is average. The front desk staff are not very enthusiastic, but the staff at the breakfast and dinner restaurants are quite friendly.
It is located in downtown Morioka, so it has good accessibility to other food and shopping areas. There is also a Starbucks on the first floor, so it would be good for those who like coffee. I was a little confused at first because Pronto and Starbucks were on the first floor, but other than that, the customer service was good.
One downside is that it doesn't work. The only drawback is that you can hear everything being said in the next room.
Still, the room was clean and I only have good memories from the trip.
The location is good for the family ski holiday with all facilities available for this ski-in/ski-out hotel. The breakfast has a good variety while the dinner options are good especially the Teppanyaki restaurant with the local beef and abalone. The Japanese restaurant was also good with various dishes to choose from. The outdoor onsen at 白樺之湯 really worth the visit after the ski and I’d recommend to enjoy at day time. We have also tried the hotel massage services and it was really good and relaxing! The only thing for improvement is that the room themselves are a bit old and maybe should consider renovations in coming years. The shops have many food and drinks and souvenirs. We also got a big pack of fireworks that we can pay together with kids just outside the hotel on the snow slope.
Overall we enjoyed the stay and the slopes and ski school are magnificent!
As expected, it is operated by JR East, so the location is good and close to the station. It would be even better if you could enter without getting wet in the rain. There was a bottle of Irohasu in the room instead of the original plastic bottles. This is good in itself.
There are also drip packs in the room, which is very good.
The room was small, but within acceptable limits.
This is my first time to Hanamaki. The scenery nearby is great. I will definitely go again if I have the chance. The food and public pool are great. Overall it is clean. The stay is very comfortable. The elders are very happy.

YYoshimasaIn the natural environment surrounded by mountains and forests, the clear stream behind the inn flows gurgling, healing the body and mind.
It is fun to enjoy each of the four hot springs that flow directly from the source, but we especially recommend the deepest hot spring in Japan.
This is a self-propelled natural rock bath ”Shirasaru no Yu”. This is a very rare hot spring. Due to its depth, you can stand up to enter, but it is evenly distributed throughout your body.
It is said that applying hot water pressure can effectively promote blood circulation. The hall also has a nostalgic atmosphere, as if traveling to the past.
The hospitality of the staff is also very attentive. If you have the opportunity to stay in Hanamaki, it is a hotel worth staying in.

GGuest UserGreat location for hikers on the Michinoku Coastal Trail. We booked the stay with dinner and breakfast, and the dinner was an outstanding multi-course kaiseki style meal. The onsen is a great relief after a hard day of hiking too.
JJovaWe chose to stay at this hotel because we were going to Appi Plateau for skiing. It only takes about half an hour to drive there, which is very convenient.
The hotel is much larger than expected, the staff is very friendly, the most surprising thing is the hot spring, the open-air bath is super comfortable, a lot of skin care products are provided.
Free coffee and soda are provided in the lobby, which is very generous. There are also two free bottles of water in the room refrigerator every day.
The room rate includes one night and two meals. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is a Japanese kaiseki cuisine, which is very delicious.

GGuest UserThe experience is perfect. The hot spring is very good. There are few people and it is quiet. Skiing is also convenient. The flexible cancellation and change prices in advance are also a little bit better than other platforms. I will go again next snow season.
Disadvantages: The public area is small, and you still have to go to the Crown for a variety of dining options.
But there are connecting roads to the Crown.
The ski in and out position is a little farther than the Crown (away from the advanced cable car)
GGuest UserHotel is some distance from the train station but it is very clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is traditional Japanese and of great quality, given the price. Please expect limited English from the staff present as this is a countryside location.
