The location is peaceful and relaxing, and everything you need is conveniently available within the hotel. The lakeside is less than a 10-minute taxi ride away, making it very easy to explore the area. If you request it, the hotel also offers a cable car discount, which is a great added benefit.

The room was clean and spacious enough. The shower had no issues with hot water. They provided two 1-liter bottles of complimentary drinking water. Unfortunately, due to clouds and smog, only the lower hills in the foreground were visible, not the main mountains. Breakfast was adequate for a hotel of this size; not lavish, but sufficient. If you're leaving early, they can prepare a simple meal if you request it in advance. The hotel offers a free shuttle service twice a day by reservation. It's fine for the outbound journey, but you'll need to catch a taxi for the return. When heading to the airport, if the timing works out, taking the shuttle to town and then a taxi to the airport can save you money. Since there are two airports, it's best to specify 'international airport'.

The hotel is within walking distance to Phewa Lake, and there are many small shops nearby to browse. They offer umbrellas for rent at the front desk on rainy days. The laundry service is paid and outsourced. There seemed to be a communication breakdown among the front desk staff, as I had to go up and down multiple times. The second time I used the wash and dry service, some of my clothes got mixed up with another guest's. That guest had a very thick, waterproof jacket, which resulted in my clothes not being fully dried.

Staying in Dahlia Boutique Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Pokhara. Perfectly located near Phewa Lake, the hotel offers the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. Within minutes, you can walk to lakeside cafés, shops, and scenic viewpoints, yet the atmosphere inside remains peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are beautifully maintained — clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with modern comforts that make you feel instantly at home. The beds are especially comfortable, and the attention to detail in the décor creates a warm boutique charm that feels both stylish and welcoming. Housekeeping is consistent and thorough, which adds to the overall sense of comfort throughout the stay. One of the standout features is the rooftop area. The pool and terrace provide a stunning setting to unwind, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and cityscape. Watching the morning light over Pokhara from this spot is truly memorable. What makes the experience exceptional, however, is the hospitality. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to assist — whether arranging transportation, recommending local experiences, or simply greeting guests with a warm smile. Their professionalism and friendliness create an atmosphere that feels personal rather than transactional. Breakfast is another highlight, with a satisfying selection of fresh and flavorful options that cater to different tastes. It’s the perfect start to a day of exploring or relaxing by the lake. Overall, Dahlia Boutique Hotel delivers comfort, charm, and heartfelt service in an unbeatable location. For anyone visiting Pokhara, it offers excellent value and a stay that feels both relaxing and memorable. Highly recommended for travelers seeking a cozy, well-located boutique experience.

The hotel is one kilometre away from the Tourist bus stop. It's also around 15 minutes away from the lake if you go on foot. The location is pretty convenient. The room ia well-equipped and has a table, two chairs, a TV set, a kettle, an AC, bottled water, and tea. It also has hot (not just warm) water, which was my first time to see in Nepal 😅 I had a nice breakfast, even prepacked one on the day I was leaving too early to have it in. The main drawback for me was roosters waking each other up starting from 3 am somewhere nearby. Other than that, great indeed.

I stayed here for one night, and it was a flawless experience. The hotel is incredibly clean, modern, and well-maintained, with rooms fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The front desk staff were highly professional, welcoming, and spoke excellent English. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is their exceptional guest service. I originally planned to take a bus to Lumbini and asked the front desk for assistance. They went above and beyond by calling the owner over to help me. I was initially a bit skeptical, assuming it might be an expensive upsell for private transport. However, after an honest conversation, the owner offered us an incredibly competitive and fair price simply because we were guests at his hotel. The private transfer turned out to be the best decision we made, thanks to our phenomenal driver. He spoke fluent English, was genuinely kind, and was an exceptionally cautious driver, which was incredibly reassuring given how winding and bumpy the roads can be. He even thoughtfully offered to pull over at a gorgeous scenic suspension bridge so we could take photos. When we arrived in Lumbini, he proactively gave us invaluable advice on how to navigate the area and how much time to allocate to each spot. We did not even think to ask for this information, but we realized later just how incredibly useful his advice actually was. I rarely leave hotel reviews, but the outstanding kindness from the owner, the staff, and our brilliant driver deeply impressed me. Facilities: Generally good. Being on the mountain, the electricity can be unstable at times, with occasional power outages, but it's usually restored quickly. The road leading to the hotel is very winding, especially the last 50 meters, which is a super bumpy dirt slope. A taxi from the hotel to the airport costs around 2000 rupees, and to the city center, it's about 1200 rupees. Cleanliness: Acceptable, neat and clean. Environment: Absolutely beautiful. It was the most therapeutic day I spent in Pokhara. Checking in in the afternoon, you can see Phewa Lake and the World Peace Pagoda, though not the Fishtail Mountain (Machapuchare). At night, you can enjoy the city's night view. Waking up to a sea of clouds in the morning, you can see Fishtail Mountain right from the balcony – it's stunning and truly felt healing. Service: Warm and polite, the staff are very friendly. We ate at the restaurant; breakfast was a buffet, and for dinner, we had curry rice, which also tasted great 😌. Overall, I highly recommend staying here 😊

Despite the initial check-in issues, during which I was asked to sign a blank guest form, the hotel staff has been excellent. Every time you enter or exit, the staff greets you, which is somewhat surprising. The rooms are functional, clean, and tidy. Although the hotel appears outdated, after staying in trekking tea houses, I would much prefer to be here. Breakfast was delicious. Strangely enough, I had a buffet one day and à la carte the next. The location is fantastic—I was able to do my laundry, get a haircut, and rent a scooter, all on the same street. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Phewa Lake, with an abundance of eateries nearby. I am giving four stars due to the check-in process.

We recently stayed in a Deluxe Room at Ghandruk Resort by Hilly Valley from October 8 to October 9. We arrived early around 11 AM for a 2 PM check-in; the room was still being cleaned, which was completely understandable, though it was surprising that a resort of this size could not accommodate a request for lunch upon arrival. The property is a bit older, and the room lacked an AC, heater, or fan. However, given the 4-5°C weather, the bathroom's geyser worked perfectly and provided much-needed hot water within minutes. The room was clean, satisfying, and featured a nice small veranda. Complimentary tea and coffee sachets along with two bottles of water were nice touches. The dining experience left us with mixed feelings. The food was good but felt slightly overpriced, and the included breakfast was a fixed menu rather than a buffet. Our primary concern was the dining hall setup. As a family traveling with an infant, it was uncomfortable to eat our dinner right next to guests consuming alcohol. A designated dining space separate from the bar area would greatly improve the family-friendly appeal of the resort. Overall, it is a clean and decent property, but there is room for improvement in its dining logistics and room amenities.

I returned to Nepal after 12 years and stayed 10 nights at Hotel Fewa Camp in Pokhara — overall I was very satisfied. The hotel sits right in the heart of Lakeside, making it extremely convenient to walk to yoga and meditation classes, gyms, and live-music venues.  If you care about lake views, this place is hard to beat on Lakeside: every morning I would open the balcony curtains and get a full panorama of Fewa Lake, birds and lakeside life — people playing football and volleyball along the shore — which was simply wonderful.  The rooms are comfortable and make it easy to unwind after a day of trekking, training, or sightseeing. The hotel offers free in-room Wi-Fi and rooms equipped for media, so we could easily stream YouTube/Netflix in the evenings (we even caught the latest episode of Wednesday while there).   Service was attentive and helpful — staff responded to requests quickly. Breakfast is ordered à la carte rather than a buffet, but portions can be refilled so you start the day energized. In short, if you’re choosing a place to stay in Pokhara, I’d highly recommend Hotel Fewa Camp for its unbeatable location, excellent lake views, and friendly service.
