Guest UserThe best western carlton is a superb hotel to stay for one or two nights or more.the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom with super hot water is great.lie back and enjoy that well earned break away. Superb value for money and the staff are very welcoming on arrival. Good location and in a quiet area of Blackpool. Shops and north pier about 10 to 15 mins walk.

Great location directly next to the beach. Has a large carpark if you are driving however they charge £7 per night for parking. The hotel is dated but well maintained. The room was big with good beds however the walls are rather thin and you can hear the people next door quite clearly which made for a difficult sleep. Bring headphones if you are a light sleeper.

Guest UserTeam service was excellent, great communications when needed. Room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Only slight negative was the eating area size, got busy quickly but luckily we came to have breakfast earlyish.

The Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

Guest UserOn arrival cups were very dirty and sticky toilet didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly night manager had to clean it for us himself which he did do but that should not have happened in first place also I understand fire doors need to be kept closed but should be open on a morning as I was wakened constantly for about 3 hours was not happy at all offered us a free drink no other compensation offered no a happy customer 😡😡😡

The location is excellent - very central and convenient. It takes no more than 5–10 minutes to reach anywhere in the city centre, and the train station is also within easy walking distance, which made getting around very simple.
The room was comfortable and spacious. It was originally set up for three guests, but I stayed there alone, so I had plenty of space. The room had a kettle with tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. There was a fan, as well as a heater - which was especially useful since I stayed at the end of February. It definitely helped to keep the room warm and comfortable.
The room was located on the third floor, close to the lift, which was very convenient. The view from the window wasn’t particularly impressive, but for me it wasn’t important - I simply needed a comfortable place to sleep.
The only downside was that there was no shampoo provided. I mentioned this to reception at checkout, as I had to use the liquid soap instead.
Aside from that small detail, everything went smoothly and I had a pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.
